This is how expansion cycles kept going on, faction war following common enemy. This expansion should end with faction war again , rallying for common enemy next expansion. Whispers of shadow maybe? hehe you forget Vol'jin's story, how he is searching for answers and shadowy figures trying to keep preventing him. We will probably see next expansion during this years blizzcon, i wont be supriced if N'zoth isnt the end boss but we might settle faction wars in last tier instead.

I really dislike Jaina. During Legion she was nowhere to be seen, nowhere. She just stormed out of the kings room when people didn't agree with her. Then at beginning of Bfa she's back like some kind of badass. We could've DIED during legion, blasted out of orbit by Sargeras while she was on some island expedition. Then she has the nerve to talk like she was actually there. (I know about the comic where she solos the entire legion, but it's just a loose try to make her look useful)
This almost an actual copy and paste of MoP at this point ffs Blizz......
I'm just glad Jaina and Thrall did not kiss. Everyone would rather pair humans with elves from now on.
Meanwhile the tree remains burned and the Kaldorei homeless. "But Tyrande had her revenge!"*snerk*
Well, to be honest, I'd like to see factions gone since Vanilla (Classic)War is based on hatred, and I as Alliance player have no hatred towards Horde. Against some of their leaders - yes, against Sylvanas in particular. But I never hated Thrall or Cairne or Vol'jin, nor regular members of the faction. The problem being they were not depicted as bad guys.Duuno if you remember Warcraft I "Orcs and Humans", but Orcs there were really bad guys. They were depicted as attacking Azeroth out of pure bloodthirst. They have seen happy and prosperous farmers living peaceful lives and hated them for their happiness and prosperity. They wanted to "slay these lazy pigs", destroy their paradise, feast on their blood and then go on to conquer new worlds. If Orcs stayed that way, I'd easily hate them and fight against them through the whole WoW.But that was later retconned, as Blizzard decided to depict Horde not as bad guys, but as "other good" guys. And when you know your enemy, there motives, and you know they are not bad - hatred vanishes. When you know they are not pure evil, but just simple good folk same as you, who were ordered to go and try to kill you buy some villainous leaders, you hate those leaders, but not soldiers. That's why now in BFA I can't force myself to accept this "faction war", that no one really wants besides one evil warmonger, trying to ignite conflict out of nowhere.Well, I do not mind factions staying as an explanation for Battlegrounds, but return them to their vanilla state. Peace Treaty with some border tensions bursting into conflict here and there, but no open war. This is second time we get "faction war" expansion (Pandaria was first) and it just does not work.Or there is another approach to faction untiy. Alternate timelines. Let there be two verions of the future. One has Azeroth united, no factions, players can freely enter all towns and capitals and join together for raids and 5-men dungeons against common enemies. The other future is where factions did not unite, N'Zoth won, and now the world is full of darkness and anarchy, with remnants of Horde and Alliance locked in eternal conflict. And switching War Mode actually switches you from one of this futures to another :) Similar to how Chromie can switch you between two versions of Mechagon.
but what about pvp, come on
this just makes it sound more like mop 2.0, im pretty sure we even had this conversation of "there can be no peace while (insert name here) is warchief" back in 5.2 between the same people no less, only difference is lor'themar says it instead of jaina
to me, it seems obvious that factions will change from those that want to protect Azeroth to those that want to align with Nzoth
