It's convient he skips over the fact that you can run m+ repeatly for gear but you can't do that in raids. U can be fully geared in almost all 370 pieces in a week. While u can kill all bosses on heroic in uldir and not get a drop.
Hold your horses. JB is not a big fish. He loves m+ and he wants everything else to fade away. But that's not going to happen. Raids are tied with each expansions' lore. M+ aint. It's just an esport. Blizzard's ultimate storytelling ends with a raid. So put a muzzle, raid is going nowhere.
The sad thing about the Azerite Armor from M+ is that the chance to get one is so low its laughable... Feelssadman
WoW is barely an MMO as is. Raiding is the only thing you really do anymore with a guild, it keeps a lot of social bonds functioning. Raiding is like going to the local bar with your buddies. Sure, you might not like that particular bar much, but its not about the bar, its about spending time with friends. There are a lot of guilds that function this way, and the minute raiding falls out of WoW, they all fall apart. As for balancing and making interesting classes, its incredibly difficult to make something function in all aspects of the game : PvP (Arenas and BG), M+, and Raiding. We're seeing a push towards homogenization of classes because certain damage models just don't work.
