It's because they're not automatically getting their BiS Azerite gear for their preferred spec, even though Blizzard is clearly trying to balance Azerite traits to the point where their advantages are mostly circumstantial and every trait is supposed to be somewhat helpful in most situations. Not getting the perfect traits isn't supposed to be that big of a difference in performance, or at least that's the goal. For the purposes of min/maxing it makes a difference, but people who are actually interested in min/maxing for performance purposes don't have this issue because they are running as much content as possible to maximize their chances of getting just the right gear and are willing to put in the time for that.
If you feel you're doing so many hotfixes that putting them up on Twitter would be a burden to your Twitter followers, maybe you should REALIZE that's saying something about all the hotfixes you have to do.
People are really missing the point that the guy is making, let me put my example: I have a warrior that's 367 ilvl with 3 pieces of 370 Azerite gear and I currently have to DPS for my guild for most content. However I also have to Tank if either of the 2 main tanks of my guild are absent for any reason, so I have to either reforge (which is too expensive because it's reforging into Prot and then into Fury when I'm back to DPS, 6 changes total, so it would be, currently for me, 320 + 640 + 1280 + 2560 + 5120 + 10240 = 20160 gold) or use the 340 Azerite gear that puts me 362 ilvl, which currently isn't really enough to tank some Heroic Uldir bosses easily for my Guild on a Prot Warrior. Plus, the 5 ilvl difference would be me tanking a +10 Key or not in time.So I'm stuck in a position where reforging is too expensive for going DPS or Tank (Heroic) depending on how things go and if people are coming or not. Beforehand, people could not reforge and simply use the same armor because it provided the Tier Bonus that all raids had, which is great. I don't think asking for a free reforging is being entitled (as some people above say), it's simply common sense if you are playing both our main and off spec in most content, since it really becomes a huge strain in your wallet. Even then, an additive system would be fine for most people, the exponential increase gets ridiculous fast, or a cap of 5 free reforges each week or something. Hell, if I could get 370 gear easily I wouldn't even be posting this, it's just that it becomes a sort of "dead item" if the traits don't benefit you, plus most hybrid azerite traits are too mediocre for them to be an option to do content.I hope they fix this in the future, because it's giving me more headaches and disapointment than feeling like a new cool mechanic.
Godamn people sure like to complain on this game dont they? I honestly never even seen that negativity in game from anyone. Good god we need to stay away from forums and public forums
They are trying to pull more farming more grind more more ..to make more money. This has backfired. Witch it should. We already pay a subscription to play this game. Many people gladly (including myself) use the shop. We give them enough. Adding things like farming more gear..Penalty for respec ect to buy tokens...It's all a cash grab. Tweaks and twists to get more subscription money or buy tokens. And people didnt fall for it this time. The subscription money and the REALLY expensice Race change, faction change ect - mounts and pets...and now ingame calculations as to how we can make people grind more. Taking people's choises away on the gear to make them farm more..or buy tokens. *!@#ty move..and it backfired.Things like no flying is also a way to slow down the game to make more money. Everytime I see stuff like that making its way into the game I feel less and less wanting to play. It's honestly psycopathic ways of milking people behind their backs. It's a business yes. But calculated unfun tricky ways to milk people is pathetic and disgusting for a game that already has a subscription fee. When subs go down - this is what happens to the game to make people play longer. How about trying to lower the price for a Subscription ?Lower the price for race change so people can afford it and try out new races ?Lower the price for faction change so people can afford it ? Im sure all of that would bring in more money than adding more grind to game :D
can confirm the problem. sometimes need to use IE11 and it dont work
Personally I am stuck with 340 shoulders that I simply cant replace untill next reset, got them first week so Im starting to get a bit frustrated, but that has allways been part of the game! If you get everything from start there is no need to go dungeon farming or anything. If I didnt want to progress my character with gear I would stick to a game that isnt geardependant, like tetris or snake.I play all three speccs on my monk, all at different itemlevels and diffuculty due to stat weights, trinkets, weapons, personal skull and offcourse azerite armor pieces.Personally I would love for azerite traits to have more dynamic impact on gameplay. For example increasing duration of renewing mist but not increasing healing done, making it a vivify trait. That combined with 1sec cdreduction on revival per vivify crit opens up for more min/maxing in dungeons for example. That combo might be subject for balance but I think such traits would be more fun than stacking 1 trait for maximum bonus on one spell.
ITT: people who don’t play beyond LFR levels not understanding the issue and acting high and mighty about it.For example:
Is that so hard to make gold cost limit for reforge like 500g or whatever? Can you pls stop @#$%in players and yourself this is just harming the game finding tank or healer getting harder and harder for m+ and raids...
The point that the monk tried to make is missed by so many.. 340 azerite gear is easy to get, we all know that, 340+ is not, and that is his point.I was also annoyed by this, but then I started thinking about it.If we assume that you are lucky and get 1 370 item each week, and each is for a different slot, it would take you 3 weeks to gear up your main spec. With 2 specs it would take 6, and then by week 9 you would have fleshed out azerite for all 3 specs. It might not be the best traits on those 370s, but that's another discussion. If you could reforge freely, or they changed according to spec, you'd be done after 3 weeks in the best case scenario. If you are extremely lucky, you could even do it in like 2 weeks, and is that what we want? Be done gearing azerite in 2 weeks? But we all know the real world does not work like that, sometimes you get duplicates and sometimes you get nothing. But if you already have a 370 chest, then get another? Alright, now you have that for offspec. If you are missing a spesific piece that just won't drop, how is that different to tier set drops that has been in the game forever, or drops in general. It took me 19 kills to get my tier head from Kel'thuzad, and we didnt even see the token drop until our 15th kill. That's 15 weeks without a spesific item even dropping. What I am trying to say is that bad luck has always been a part of the game when it comes to drops. Things that can only drop once a week can be annoying to get and take time, but that has always been the case.So yeah I am sorta agreeing with Blizz on this one, expecting to be fully kitted out for all specs by week 3 is a bit much to ask.If you are required to do multiple things because of stuff and things, you just have to work with what you have like always and make the best of it until the thing you actually need drops. The main issue here is the traits, not actually getting the 370+. They say they have tuned inn the outliers, but there are still traits which are 2k+ dps apart, and a bunch you would never ever take no matter what.
Man Lore seems super hostile in his replies. I understand he's frustrated with the amount of negative feedback, especially with so much of it not being presented in a constructive way at all, but he's supposed to be a community manager. I shouldn't feel like he's upset at me when I read his replies when his job wouldn't exist without me paying a sub every month.
remember the times when tier gear was spec locked and u needed to farm the "offspec" gear also? thats just it.since we started to be able to change spec and set bonus automaticaly changed gear value droped drasticaly, now that it is slightly more valued people are losing their mindsor even a full set of tank gear because of defensive stats (and previously having to be defense caped) AND a tottaly diferent full set of dps gear.
