After nearly 15 years of leveling characters, with 10 currently at max level, I am simply not interested in the slog that is leveling. Heirlooms, RAF, XP pots, etc., used to make it bearable, but that's gone now. I honestly don't know what amount of XP was required in past expansions, or even the beginning of Legion, as compared to what's required now; what I do know is that I absolutely loathe using 10 GCDs to kill garbage mobs at a level that is 100% irrelevant (which is every level except for cap). We might be leveling at a similar pace, but it absolutely feels slower, and that's enough to ruin the entire experience for me.
I'd be happy with things the way they are now if they changed two things:- Make every base zone scale from 1 to 110, and every xpac scale from 60 to 110, so we have more freedom. I never played the full MoP and WoD stories and would love to do so, and I wouldn't mind revisiting the Cata story, but questing in Outlands and Northrend makes me want to barf at this point. - Make LFG give more xp per dungeon. I do prefer dungeons as they are now, with actual mechanics and challenges. But keep the xp rate the same as before. I'd rather do 1-2 dungeons per hour than 6-7, as long the xp/hour rate is the same.Having heirloom xp bonuses scaling with the number of max level characters you have would be great, but that would probably cut down boost sales a lot, and might create a parallel industry of powerlevelling for money, so I doubt they would do it.
Still don't get why they slowed leveling down in respect to Heirloom Gear when Heirloom Gear's purpose WAS TO LEVEL FASTER THAN THOSE WITHOUT IT. I honestly dread how bad it is for those without Heirloom Gear.
