I was expecting this to be honest. After leveling a few toons on the beta, I felt as though I were gaining levels too quickly and went through all the content in just one zone, getting to 115.
On the Beta the experience required to level was way too low. You couldn't even do two zones before hitting max level. In fact they should have increased the required experience by a few more percentage points.
It really needed an increase of XP required to get to 120. I was getting to level 118 on a single zone, it was a bit ridiculous. In my opinion the XP should be enough so you can experience all 3 zones. Maybe 2 and a half, but its not good if you're almost 120 after a single zone.

Leveling is the most boring part of WoW. Don't make it take longer to get to the actual fun part, end-game dungeons and raiding. :(
Good change. Leveling was too fast 110-120. You could hit 120 with a whole zone and a half left unfinished.
Having leveled 9 characters on the beta, this is incorrect. Fully competing a zone on War Mode gave you 5-6 levels, the main storyline was good for about 2 levels per zone. Sidequests and War campaign are the best sources of questing XP. All this does is force you to do more sidequests than before and adds more time to leveling. Which is good or bad depending on your playstyle.
Nice! This certainly isn't a very large complaint on the forums right now! Leveling exp is just so wonderful right now that no one ever makes a TON of posts that get upvoted to oblivion. Nope. The ONLY thing that would make this ok is if they un-nerf heirlooms. And I got the feeling they aren't doing that. W... T... Heck Blizz?
With monster scaling and no new abilities, going from 110 to 120 feels like one long level where you slowly get weaker over time. Now it's even longer than before.
I'd have preferred something closer to +30%, I hit 120 before I had even finished my second zone... you shouldn't be max level before finishing all the starter world story content.
First, I like leveling, so this is a plus for me. My guess is that they purposely have leveling quicker in beta to allow more people to get to more content quicker so that they can actually find bugs and flesh out any issues. That said, I'm looking forward to enjoying the leveling, lore, and exploration. Thank you Bliz for another couple of years of entertainment.
BULL&*!@
The increased leveling might be fine for some, but some level their alts early on and don't wait for the nerfs later. If you have to do every single zone every time, people would gouge their eyes out. Blizzard removed the requirements to do every zone to unlock world quests in Legion for that reason. When I level a toon, I want a different experience from the last one. I don't want the exact same experience in a slightly different order with a different class. And only having 3 zones to level through makes it worse because every path you take with your alts will effectively be the same. The only difference is what order.People who want to do every zone every time while leveling makes me think of driving to work. I can choose to take the same path every day or I can spice things up and take alternate routes now and then. People who want to force others to do every zone makes me think that these people would require I have to drive down every road before I can get to work even if I don't get to work until a week later.Maybe if Blizzard had loremaster award an experience boost, I can see requiring every zone the first time and then letting you pick and choose what you do the next time. But shockingly, not everyone enjoys leveling. This would force those who hate leveling to enable warmode just to get to the content they do like even if that means they hate PvP. For those that dislike PvP and feel forced to leveling with warmode enabled, that could potentially chase players from the game. Do you really want fewer players to play with? How many complaints are there about dead servers? About how it's impossible to recruit anyone? You shouldn't be trying to force someone else to play a way they don't want to play. Blizzard shouldn't be removing choice. And they're effectively removing the choices of what zones you do by forcing you to do every zone anyway. I hated Legion early on for that reason. Having to do EVERY zone on every alt got tiresome just so I could have world quests.Do remember, this is the player base that feels forced into doing LFR for tier gear Players feeling forced to enable warmode despite not wanting to or liking PvP won't be out of the question. If you dislike being forced to do things you don't want to do, then you shouldn't force that on others. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Do you like being treated like trash? That your opinion doesn't matter? That something you enjoy is actually doing that something wrong? This is a game. We should be enjoying ourselves, not complaining about being forced to do something we hate. If Blizzard's changing the leveling experience to appeal to those that want to level slower, they should offer something that speeds it up to appeal to those that like to level faster. Heirlooms often aren't enabled for current content until the end, but waiting until the end of the expansion is just terrible on Blizzard's part. It makes players feel rushed to finish everything by the time the next one comes out. Flying is also now being enabled later which causes the same issue. Force players to start playing expansions later and later and eventually they won't come back. Blizzard should be enticing players to return earlier and stay longer. Maybe reducing the xp required with loremaster isn't the answer, but alienating a part of their player base to appeal to another isn't the answer, either. This is like flying all over again. Blizzard sees something they think is a problem when few complained about it. There's nothing stopping people from doing all of the content after they hit 120. You get gold, transmog, toys, pets, rep, etc. Only thing that stops you is yourself because the content is no longer required to reach your goal unless you want world quests unlocked. And Blizzard removed the Legion requirement after a bit so they'll likely do the same in BfA. It's no different from flying. If you want to stay grounded, there's nothing stopping you except that it's no longer required to be so.
