I saw these the other day. Different video and it showed from player perspective. The tail doesn’t move like a big cat’s tail does when they are running down a prey animal.
This makes me happy for one major reason; one of my favorite hunter pets is literally a recolored night elf druid form (red lynxes from the blood elf areas), and it uses the same animations. More fluid animations are always wanted. Now if only that poor thing would get a graphic update.
kitty!
So they can fix walking and running animations for Druid Feral Forms but not give us Worgen/Goblin models?I'm starting to think Blizzard is ran off of a Commodore 64...
Wow, very subtle, but makes a whole lot of a difference. The Live animation is very arcade-y and a bit choppy, the Beta one is so smooth and... feels light. The whole animation looks like a cat on Beta weighs a half less than the Live one, it has this, um, feline grace on landing the paws and all.Seriously awesome stuff, tells a lot about animators, since those little tweaks seem very intricate.
That looks cool! As a big cat enthusiast it does make a difference! I'm sorry to those that cant tell the difference, but believe me it looks more natural ;D
The running annimation looks awesome from the side, but from the players view I feel like something is wrong with the left side of the kitty. But its only my opinion :)The walk animation on the other hand is dope
It looks awesome!I definitely see the difference.
The back is more streamlined, not making the butt bounce as much and there seems to be a minor adjustment to the hind legs, they push and land together, more catlike. on the lower one you can see one paw lands and one paw kicks off before the other, which is not how cats move. So, this one, all in all, more catlike.
I hope, just like with bears, this one is applied to feline Hunter pets as well x)
The change is very subtle...but It is a good change.
Love it! That seals the deal. I'm rolling druid as main.
Goblins....... Worgen...............................................
I have no idea what you guys are on about, because the change is very obvious. It kind of hops forward now, like an actual running cat, which can be more easily seen when looking at it from the side.
Running animation: The biggest difference I see is in the back and the back legs. The back is more arched while running at some point. Before it was S-shaped all the time. The back legs extend all the way to the end of the tail while the cat is pushing forward. In the old animation they appear folded all the time while running.Walking animation: It just seems less bouncy and more BADASS. :D
The movement animation in my opinion for running(while still the same at first glance, if you watch carefully or slow it in speed) was upgraded to look more realistic for a Panthera.
