I have all but druid and shaman, and two mages and DK. But I don't always do gold missions. I find my hunter and monk fairly dull (no offense) so don't play them and as a result no resources. A better balance to stop alt farms (you do have to play them at least some) than WoD idea of free on free. To wit it is not worth my time to play the two classes I find boring just to farm gold.As for the general idea if they are good or not, I would say the other rewards should be beefed up a bit. Why should I not run the gold missions? If I want to farm rep I can do WQ so make the tokens worth decent amount to get me interested. Another AP token? Also dime a dozen in Legion. That would stop the "casual" gold farming as the other rewards will be a better investment.
I remember buying Schematic: Craftsman's Monocle for about 20k. Worth it, its a nice, rare transmog.
I'm really excited to see how well TSM4 works compared to TSM3 upon the official release of TSM4. Hopefully before BFA? I never utilized the Order Hall missions as much as I should have just like the Garrison missions.
To me raising alts for the purpose of making gold is soul crushing, yes passive gold and all that goodness, that's why i only accomplished maximize 6 order halls, yes, I could raise more cause they make around 5k per character per day. But not worth to me (I see leveling as a boring experience), we know that the next expansion would be alt expansion with all these new allied races and new account character slots, and probably more gold mission and passive income will follow.
I have been working on Leatherworking patterns and got most of them done for Legion! I enjoyed it. I cannot recall ever buying a major recipe, though.
I like new interface a lot. When i installed tsm3 first time, it was a little messy, so many unknown buttons and things likt that :D. But this one looks really solid, nice job!
I've only had 2 characters actively running Order Hall missions in Legion but that's not to say I didn't enjoy the grinding that came with it, although I can't really say that it was "worth it" going for the gold missions all the time. It probably would've been better had I had more characters to run them on, but I'd say there was something to be learned from it for when bfa launches. \ D: /
the mission grind' is pretty handy when you are not playing. The problem i had in legion was that it took me too much time to get enough orderhalls ready for gold missions.
I participate in the Beta of TSM4, really like the new interface ! For the gold mission, in legion i'm not really into farming the gold mission with my characters ( 14 character, all 110 except 1 ), i prefer farming, even in WoD.
I truly do love watching Studen Albatroz streams and youtube videos. This has indeed opened my eyes for a whole lot of content which I previously saw as "NOPE this has never bothered me". I also do like Bregs Videos on Youtube where he does "flipping" of gear and battlepets which has opened a way to earn gold on both Horde and Alliance.I usually have been a raider, having gold farming as an addition to this has almost converted me to be a fulltime goldmaker. But I`ll still keep on raiding and probably do some of the stuff that both studen and Breg do when they post their videos. Their videos are like an addiction to me at this point. Can`t wait for bfa :D
I steadily increased the amount of characters to farm the order halls as I decided to complete all the mage tower challenges, currently at 10 maxed out order hall followers, and the last 2 currently on epic followers
I am currently working on the last three star cooking recipe for Legion. Three star 法罗纳尔气泡酒, it just does not drop from Nomi's kitchen. I have placed countless orders with nothing but wildfowl eggs over the past month but no recipe. I have had 9 recipe fragments for 3 weeks, maybe eventually I will get a tenth.
I'm not surprised to see the gold missions from Order Halls going away. Although I invested a ton of time and reaped the rewards I did not expect this to continue into BfA. Just as WoD missions stopped as a gold source.As should be obvious from the effort I not only took personally, but by the guide I took the time to write, I enjoyed the process.. Every one of my 22+ army of 110's took time patience and effort to become a productive part of my 'empire'. Assuming that there is still potential from gold missions (which seems to be the case from my time in Beta) and that there is a fairly easy way to get resources, I will over time be bringing all my 110's into Bfa. I'm guessing that WQs or something become a source for resources. I have did not get that far into the beta, every time I tried to reach end content something would bug on the toon I was leveling. I just had bad luck with the beta. My initial focus will be on leveling up one of my farmers most likely. Either a miner/JC or herber/scribler. Both have have items they can make to help the XP/REP go faster. So this will not only help MY alt army, but also act as my initial source of income in BfA.I was able to make enough gold to get my sub over a year into the future, buy several other blizz products and xpacs, and help out friends either with tokens for sub time and or/help with the xpac. So Legion was certainly profitable.I look forward to whatever new opportunities present themselves and know that there will be A) Plenty of resources here and elsewhere on the web B) The usual bit of pure blind luck on some lucky drops. C) and hopefully a niche that I can find early as good Gold/hour source. Long before my mission empire , I was making a decent amount just farming basilisks for ore (:Happy days ahead I'm sure. And to my fellow goblins I'll leave the words of a guy in a move 'GREED is GOOD' (;
i dont enjoy the mission grind but it kinda comes to me. since dreanor i like playing multipl chars and i'm trying to level up and gear them, doing their campaigns etc. and i'm using most of them for gaining gold ofcourse :) right now i have 13 chars but grinding with 6-7. But most of my friends likes gaining huge amount of gold from expensive thing and grinding them. i found this easier.
If they truly removing gold missions from class order hall and any garrison type thing in BFA we might see more stable prices on most items especially on wow tokens. But who knows if wow token will ever stabilize again and go lower than current price . Though i hope new expansion equals more players joining game or resub thus more wow tokens will be available to buy.
I would like to have gold missions in bfa, it was easy to use the app before sleep every day...
Hope they convert the gold missions into order resource missions so we can continue to make gold out of the hall, like the Garrisons. Otherwise I'll just have to abandon it completely.
Even though I was active for WoD and maximized my toons for best gold-making in the Garrison, I found the similar gold-making method in Legion to be a little more difficult and more...requiring maintenance. While it doesn't come as a surprise to see the gold-making aspect being filtered out as BFA arrives, not as a goblin but as a player, I do rather wish they wouldn't continue garrison/order hall-style player hubs with gold-making "passivity" like missions. It feels like a lot of work for, as other people have commented, little fun and "payoff."
I'm still kicking myself for not actually jumping on the class hall gold train. I've currently got I think 18 max-level characters, but all I've been doing is letting them sit to focus on gearing up one of my mains for the mage tower. I could have enough for a long boi by now, but instead I'm sitting at a measly 200k or so from offloading hoarded mats and some Garn Nighthowls I'm hoping to run out of before everyone realizes how effing easy it is to farm.Definitely planning on getting as many characters set up for gold missions as I can for BfA, though. I'll have to have enough self control to split my game time between leveling, gathering, and max-level stuff, but I have faith in my abilities... yeah... absolute faith...
