I would like to see a 2 months long boss. Becuz I love challange. I hate noobs who cry how hard no it is hard becuz it is mythic.
...when I look at Argus all I see is a Zandalari Troll now...
Whilst I enjoy the notion of a literal Titan bossfight being really damn hard, months to kill would be pretty impossible to achieve with just how capable people are these days at powergrinding their gear to adequate levels.Unless it dies this week, it will die next week nearly guaranteed.KJ Mythic only lasted as long as it did because it was blatantly unfair in it's first incarnation after all.
All those people thinking "mathematically impossible" is some sort of meme... It's not. Oh, Avatar was killed? Sure, after stealthnerfing it twice because it was impossibile. And it's been this way though wow history.C'thun mathematically imposibile? Well sure, was only killed with an exploit involving a spell reflect potion.Yogg Saron +0 mathematically impossible? True, only killed due to class stacking after discovering that Affli lock and spriests were brokenly OP for the fight.
It wont take months, 3 lockouts max. People will get more gear, they will find what class is optimal to stack, and if blizzard sees everyone is failing at about the same % they will nerf it by next lockout. At least we can call this a real race now seeing that even the 5th guild can reach the last phase.
They will probably nerf him if he stays this strong and the kill won't be as rewarding =[
Because why have the end all be all boss, be a chump? I would personally feel cheated if some high profile guild was able to beat him in a short time span than Kil'Jaeden.
lol... so blizz finally tuned a final raid boss to last more than one or two resets... I'm all for the classic vanilla mechanic of having to actually learn the fight from progression and not just watching a bunch of youtube vids... most of the original raid bosses weren't even available on the PTR back then, or so few players were allowed on the PTR that it didn't make a difference. Now, the whole raid is on the PTR and your whole guild is expected to know it on the PTR and finish it within a week... I honestly hope we get to 15-16 or more guilds stuck on Argus for weeks... That you really need the pantheon trinkets and such to finish the Mythic raid... that would make it interesting and fun to watch!
"NEW, SECRET MYTHIC PHASE!" = "Skip phase 3, make everything red, go home and get drunk".Well played Blizz, well played.
I feel like Argus was originally going to be as difficult as Aggramar, but when Blizzard saw the speed people were clearing mythic Antorus they quickly overtuned the living salt out of the boss. Everything to avoid a second Xavius, I guess.
There are people wondering why there is hp heal on stage change, well there is no add phase in mythic so they had to add the "algalonses" hp to the boss :D
