RemovedAnyway, I really hope the Sky Claw makes it into the game eventually.

I'm not exactly part of the target audience for this system as I am on a bit of a schedule with 25 man raiding and work and such and just don't have time for a third ID, but I'd like to mention that flex raids would be a great way to get some life back into old content. It's likely ridiculous, considering that that would mean that someone would have to go back to old raid tiers and scale them, but still. Imagine you could run Molten Core with a bunch of friends without DPSing the bosses to the ground in less than 3 seconds :D Anyway, not sure how many people would actually care to do that kind of thing. This isn't exactly the best place to post this, I know. xDAll in all, flex raids sound great.
After reading GCs comments this weekend, I have a feeling they are going to be gutting LFR soon. With the addition of another lockout, that means LFR gear is going to be drastically lower than normal raid gear ( even now it is significantly lower). So they are going to basically lower it one tier lower now (relatively), then they are thinking about removing tier pieces from LFR, and will probably do the same with vanity pets and stuff like that.So what will LFR really be. Zerg bosses that reward valor and not much else? Just from listening to GC, I think, AS ALWAYS they are swinging the pendulum too far in the opposite direction. They make LFR a viable endgame for a lot of players who don´t want to schedule raids.. their is gear progression, and at least for the first few weeks, some challenging endgame. (lfr bosses are fairly difficult the first few weeks). In any event, from the tone of GC´s posts, it feels like LFR will become what heroic dungeons were in WOTLK.. something players zerg as fast as possible for VP.I love the idea of flex raiding, I love that it will bring back realm PUGs and give a way for 10m guilds to grow to be 25mans.. But I think GC and the devs are listening a bit too much to the raiders who complain about LFR, and that there will be a backlash from the silent majority who use LFR as their endgame. LFR gear is already going to be probably 30ilvls behind normal raiding, there is no reason to take away tier sets and vanity drops for people who don´t want to schedule raiding. The devs, especially GC, are terrible about overreacting to a perceived problem. It is always this huge pendulum swing in the opposite direction.
Gutting LFR like that would be a terrible idea. And what do these "real raiders" who whine about LFR care anyhow? They are wholly unaffected by what more casual players do with the game, save the precise degree of superiority they can lord over everybody else.LFR has its issues, but most of them are social -- people there can be super rude without any social consequences, because they'll probably never see the rest of the group again. But those of us who do LFR have decided to put up with it, and/or actually use the "ignore" feature, and the reason we've decided to do that is because it enables us to participate in the end-game without having to commit to a raiding schedule. Flex raiding is good for some of that group, but flex raids will still require degrees of socialization and commitment that many LFR'ers will be unable or unwilling to engage in. Should they be denied even seeing the endgame content? In my opinion, no way. Reward differences (gear ilvl, mounts, achievements) are the right way to distinguish between the two. The balance is about right right now, I feel. All this said, are you sure their stretch goal is to gut LFR? They have to know that LFR is the raiding mode of choice for (I believe) the overwhelming majority of their user base. And I'm not convinced that the mere fact of Flex Raiding means LFR gear has to be pushed down. With ToT, LFR gear is 502, and normal is 522. If ToT had had Flex mode, maybe Flex gear would have been 512, in which case the LFR gear would be precisely where it is now relative to the other modes.
LOL... I still can't get past the pvp quest in the legendary chain. So this is all meaningless to me...
