My favorite zone has to be Stranglethorn Vale(before the shattering). It's my favorite because of the diversity of races and because it is both beautiful and deadly ! There you have the Gurubashi Arena where gladiators fight for fame and loot ( the winner gets the Chest opened), you have deadly pirates sailing on the South Seas, you have trolls defending thier ancient city ruins, you have a hunting expedition called Nesingwary's Expedition that stalk the ferocious tigers, the shadowy panthers and the intimidating raptors, you have Booty Bay, the port-city with greedy goblins and drunken sailors ... Guess most people hate it, as it was the symbol of PvP corpse camping in vanilla and TBC, but I really enjoyed spending time in that part of Azeroth.
Searing gorge. The zone contained Thorium point AND Blackrock Mountain, two of the best world pvp areas in vanilla. The zone also housed BRD, UBRS, LBRS, MC, and BWL, some of the more fun/frustrating instances in the game, and the source of the best looking tier sets in the game.
I'm caught between Winterspring and Westfall (pre-shattering), because the climate and environment is so beautiful, and because they bring back memories of Wintersaber trainers and killing murlocs on the coast XP
Most favorite zone in WoW would of course be STV. It has it all, Goblins, Arena, fishing tournament, the works. It also has always been a huge hub for travel.
I absolutely love the Grizzly Hills. The music is absolutely breathtaking, as well as refreshing from the rest of Northrend. It is a much needed break from the absolutely frigid, terrible story of Wrath of the Lich King without actually being a break. It explores the beginnings of the mess in Ulduar, as well as breaching another topic of the Worgen. It elaborates on the fact that the Lich King reaches far and wide for his servants, going so far as to dig up and breathe life in to the body of a fallen mage. The scenery is as amazing as the music, and the PvP dailies (while sort of a failure) were a bold experiment that Blizzard needs to try again. The entire zone went back to the classic Horde against Alliance feel, as well as giving me a look in to another side of Northrend that isn't just blizzards, snowy peaks, and zombies.
My favorite place was Eastern Plaguelands becuz the rich lore and history of that place and the epic questline on Tirion Fordoring too!
I love duskwood, it looks and feels creepy. I cant remember how many times Stitches killed me when i first started playing.....before i learnt it was best to just run and hide, i can still hear him yelling to this day.Not played Alliance since the shattering, so it will be fun to see if hes still terrorising the place!
My favorite zone is Vashj'ir, have interesant zones and creatures and have a very good quest line, and is under water :X and i love Subdued Abyssal Seahorse
Westall.#1 Lighthouse#2 Tornado, storm, whatever in Cata.#3 Deadmines (sadly no longer)#4 CLUCK!
My favorite zone in WoW is Nagrand, I know its over used, but, its just so awesome looking!
My favorite zone has to be Ashenvale, mainly because I loooooved "The Spirits of Ashenvale" campagin mission in wc3. When I first was in Ashenvale on my lowbie alliance passing by the orc lumber camp it brought me right back to the time before wow, when I spent loads of time trying to complete the campaign, and seeing that lumber camp really made it feel like was back playing Reign of Chaos.
Grizzly Hills was a very very beautiful zone. And the music.. Oh the music.. I used to float with my nether ray mid air and listen to the music for hours.
My favorite zone is definitely Grizzly Hills. I don't know if it's the music that plays or if it's the lore/storyline in the zone, but there's something that makes the zone fun for me. I have leveled 6 characters to 85 and each of them have gone through that zone. :-)
