You must always stay together, less likely that you be attacked of there is more than 1 of you.-Keep you characters name small. The smaller the name, the less likely that people will attack you. We tend to attack targets with bigger names so a small name helps keep a low profile.-All hunters on offence. Hunters will have no roo in the tunnel or flag room, withtheir high dps, it is a good idea to have them out on the field kkilling or taking down the fc.-Always have a healer. You have to protect the healer because they are probably the ones that keep you alive when things get messy.-Dont group with your fc. The longer it takes to cap the flag, the more likely it becomes that the oposing side will attack you. Plus the debuff doesen't help at all.- And lastely, Always, keep an eye out for afk players. The ast thing you need is the flag running past the afk hunter or warrior over there. Warsong glutch si only 10 people and you will need as much help as you can.I have a 39 twink hunter, he is fully geared eccept for the Arena grand master,. Precede the (soon to be) flag carrier up the enemy tunnel with a kamikaze frost mage. Few will be able to follow the flag carrier back out.Frost mages rule on defense with proper talents. Slowed targets are easy for your friends to kill.The people who say defense doesn't work don't have a frost mage on defense.Use boosts that cause you to drop the flag just before you pick it up.Stormblast - Velen - US

Callidus - Dragonmaw-Take their flag as a group then reclaim yours on the way back to your base-Don't be afraid to fight if you're the flag carrier, you can still kill people-Never exit the enemy base via tunnel when you have the flag, even if the speed boost is up. Ramp/Graveyard is much safer.
- Honor kills don't win battlegrounds. If you aren't pursuing the enemy flag, or attempting to reclaim and/or directly protect (I.E. base defense) your own, you aren't helping.- If there's a Tree, Space Goat, or any other race of healer in a group, kill it first.- Swiftness potions are a plus if you don't have any class related speed running ability. Vonriel, Cenarion Circle, US:Especially for hunters: Don't worry about killing, instead use every means at your disposal to hamper your opponents.For paladins: Your opponents like to target you first, so use this to your advantage. Run the entire group out of range of their healers and into range of your melee and ranged. For rogues: Yes, it's easy to finish off opponents and kill lone people, but your true strength in WSG is in killing the enemy flag carrier when he's alone and least suspects it. If you can organize with another fellow rogue, nothing short of forcing them to defend with absurdly large amounts of people can stop you from taking out a flag carrier.For general purposes: The more you force your opponent to focus on defense, the easier it is for you to win. In a turtle, the turtling side has to get lucky every single time, while their opponents only have to get lucky once.
Let a player with high hp and resil carry the flag, all to often some clothie with 18k hp takes the flag and get zerged 20 seks later. Never ever ever use the tunnel when leaving enemy base with flag. Letting a fast runner (druid or shammy,pref resto specced) carry the flag is sometimes better than letting a slow runing prot hold the flag, ofc dep on team setup,with couple good helaers focusing on a "tank fc" usually worksout. Letting the most of the dps focusing on holding midfield usually opens up the flanks for a fast flag cap.Good Luck out there!Diss-Burning Blade
Silveretta - Shattered Hand EU (Alliance)(Human Priest)5 Year veteran of WSG and more.Justicar, Commander, Battlemaster, ex Gladiator.WSG tactics:- Current most effective tactics is to pick a good flag carrier with some dpsers around him together with 1-3 healers and go and take the flag.- Some good rogue or very effective other dpsers picking off the other team one by one and then just clash with them on the way back, this way you manage to pick off their flag carrier and leave them very disorganized and notice the dpsers that picked of some of the enemy joining the rest of the group once the main battle happens.- Keeping the enemy this way is the way to to since you keep in groups that got each others back and a healer close by makes for a good way to pick them off as they try to get the flag or attack in some matter of fashion. - If they manage to get a larger group together you do the same by still uve got a rogue picking of the healers or other dpsers stopping them.- Do anything to make them disorganized and one very effective way of doing this is stopping their healers with any means necessary. WSG tactics for a priest:- For a priest you are normally easy picking for just about anyone by the key in this case is to keep moving and try to think ahead of whats going on and since you use your mini map made for battlegrounds allot it makes it much easier by checking where you have friends and if they are getting eaten alive you simply make the choise if you wanna take the risk of trying to save them or not.-Healing, running, dpsing and healing some more keep moving around is the main key.-If you wanna be the flag carrier you must have some tricks of your sleeve like Grenades or perhaps a MC helmet, maybe even sleeping powder from Westfall elementals.
