No matter how good your password is, it won't save you from a key logger, which is the way a majority of passwords get stolen.I have an authenticator, and have it attached to my keychain. I play in 2 places, and always have my keys with me, so I always have my authenticator with me as well. I have an iPhone as well, but would never use the iPhone authenticator app. If you have to re-install the software on the iPhone or install a new firmware, you have to detach the authenticator from your account first, then install, then reattach the application. And that's assuming you reinstalled b/c you planned to. Heaven help you if your iPhone crashes or you forget to detach the authenticator before installing new firmware.

I love my authenticator. Wouldn't trade that peace of mind for the world. Only thing better would be a USB dongle version that would type in the secret code for me, a la Yubikey.
The authenticator's are fine, its not their fault you cant keep track of em :P
My authenticator sat on my PC, and never moved. If I had a laptop, it would live in the laptop bag.Honestly? It's dirt cheap, and practically guarantees that your account is secure for as long as the authenticator is attached to it. No, I was never hacked without one; however, for £6, I don't see why anyone /wouldn't/ have one. It's not really a problem of the authenticator if you lose it. :P
I love mine on a cord so if i do travel with it it stays around the neck other wise it sits tied to the monitor. Sounds like quit losing stuff :oP
There have been multiple people in my guild that were hacked a number of months back. Thankfully, I never was, but I got the authenticator anyways. It's on my keychain at all times, as that and my wallet are about the only things I have never lost. Well, I don't think I've ever lost my cell either, but I don't have an iphone. I have a very trusted friend that I allow to log into my account at times and vice versa. It's a little annoying at times to give the 6 digits over the phone (can't rely on the speed of texting) when he logs in, but it's much better than a keylogger grabbing my info from a pc that I'm not responsible for.
I have the Blizz iPhone authentication app...works the same as the keychain but is free to download :) Considering I always have my phone with me, it works perfect.Everyone should absolutely get some kind of authenticator...I've never been hacked and the extra 10 sec to log in is a small price to pay for piece of mind.
