World of Warcraft Music Festival - Live Performances of Soundtrack Remixes
World of Warcraft Music Festival
, originally scheduled for March 14 in Shanghai
due to COVID, finally happened on June 5th and 6th in Chengdu, China. Thanks to
we have some video of the Imperial 9 Symphony Orchestra and FulushouFloruitShow concerts. Enjoy!
First up, the FulushouFloruitShow concert. FulushouFloruitShow is an indie band from Beijing comprised of triplets DouDou, NieNie, and MiMi. Note that this is handheld live video and the quality is dubious in some spots. That said, these videos give a great feeling of being there. Right there. Right behind the guy in the Frida Kahlo hat - shout-out to him! The remixes of very familiar music that is dear to us are super cool; Daughter of the Sea in Chinese - lovely.
The Imperial 9 Symphony Orchestra, an anime-fan-founded orchestra which is comprised entirely of Blood Elves, takes to the stage to share some splendid remixes of some of World of Warcraft's most moving and evocative music. Again, note that this is handheld live video and the quality is dubious in some spots. Imperial 9 puts on a fantastic show, and are very well received, especially for their version of the Mists of Pandaria soundtrack.
And speaking of Mists, the show was promoted with a special remix of Why Do We Fight - the Mists main theme (
which you can check out on our news piece
). Here is a live version from the festival with no vocals:
From the decor including Deathwing and the especially designed posters to the performers and the music itself, this was a great show, and looks to have been an amazing experience for all of the lucky fans who attended.
