When is Dragonflight Launching and Will It Be Ready? - Dratnos and Tettles Discuss
This week's GG WoW video discusses the recent unconfirmed Dragonflight Launch Date Leaks and the implications of these dates, if true.
The readiness of the expansion for release continues to be a hot topic in the community, especially with the game still in Alpha, but Dratnos and Tettles again emphasize that the game has been in a much more polished and complete state than previous Alphas after this short of a testing window. 36 of 38 talent trees are now ready for testing
, with only Havoc and Vengeance still unavailable, and the number of not yet implemented talents is shrinking with every new build of the alpha. The new dungeons are all being tested in a state that is at worst in need of minor tweaks rather than the sometimes completely broken state that previous testing cycles have had at the start.
Dratnos and Tettles briefly detour to discuss the most recently released Alpha dungeon, the Nokhud Offensive, which is showcased in this
tweet from Towelliee
- a Dragonriding dungeon! Though initially skeptical, both of the video's hosts are optimistic that this implementation of Dragonriding will likely not hurt the dungeon's potential as repeatable Mythic Plus content.
Finally the discussion moves to a hot topic in the community: the potential release of the next raid tier over the winter holidays. Dratnos and Tettles lay out the various arguments being made about how this would hurt or improve the experience of the expansion's launch for different types of players, but both recognize that they only see a small part of the playerbase. What do you think? Would releasing the expansion at the unconfirmed leak's date of late November be something you'd be excited for or dismayed by? Would you be impacted by a raid released during the holidays? Let us know in the comments!
