Here you will find spotlights on content from older expansions in WoW, perfect to work on over an uninterrupted stretch of time over the weekend. If you have any suggestions as to good weekend

Alterac Valley is a battleground located at the heart of Alterac Mountains. This battleground traces the conflict between the Frostwolf Clan, who settled in the valley as their ancient home long ago, and the Stormpike Guard, a league of dwarves searching the area for ancient dwarven and titan relics.
In vanilla WoW, Alterac Valley was considered to be a PvPvE Battleground, with many PvE elements while being a PvP zone. The main objective of the Battleground is to fight the way through your enemy faction's forces and eventually reach their Keep. There are many, many turn-ins for PvE based objectives to aid on this task. A faction won when they defeated the enemy's general. As Battlegrounds could drag on for hours, if not days, modern Alterac Valley instead uses a resource-based system, where the team that reaches 0 resources first loses.
There is an achievement meta for Alterac Valley, documented in the
Mastering Alterac Valley
guide. There are also two reputations associated with this battleground -
