Upcoming Transmog Improvements - Hide Chest Transmog Option, Possible Loosening of Restrictions
Blizzard revealed several upcoming transmog improvements at the
--an option to hide chest armor to show off tattoos, as well as the possibility of loosening restrictions, allowing players to use silly-looking items.
Hide Chest Transmog Option
With the option to hide the chest slot via transmog coming in an upcoming
Battle for Azeroth
patch, players will be able to hide Helm, Shoulders, Cloak, and Chest. The ability to hide chest armor is especially useful if you play an Allied Race with body tattoos--
All of these tattoo options can be previewed in the
Wowhead Dressing Room
! Below we have highlighted all of the body tattoo options for the Allied Races.
Loosening of Restrictions
Another transmog improvement, this one with no ETA, was the loosening of restrictions as to what was appropriate or not to transmogrify. Some items initially were considered "too silly" for use as transmog, but there have been contradictions over the years. For example, the fish
can be transmogged, while the other fish
cannot be. By evaluating all the restricted items, some more might end up viable for transmog in the future!
Looking through the
list of weapons that can't be transmogged
, here are some interesting ones which could be reconsidered:
When discussing loosened restrictions, the Holiday items also come to mind. These seasonal items, such as
, can only be transmogged for the duration of the World Event. Should silly weapons be added to the pool of transmog appearances, hopefully the policy on seasonal transmogs would also be reconsidered.
What in-game items do you hope Blizzard removes from the blacklist and adds to the transmogrification system?
