Unreachable Lost Stygia in the Maw Working as Intended

The Maw is a dangerous place. We all know that. If you die, you lose
冥殇
. We all know that too, but at least you can run back to your corpse and retrieve it. But what if you can't? Many have found that if they die again before making it back, the initial lost amount is no longer retrievable. Sometimes getting to your corpse is impossible, especially in an environment like the Maw which offers many cracks, heights, and dangers that may render a corpse unreachable. Reasonable, right? Part of the danger of the Maw.
But what if you fall off the Maw and run back only to see your corpse twinkling temptingly just out of reach? Do you have a case for an exception to be made and a GM to refund you that
冥殇
?
Redditor Sirouz discovered the answer to that
. Check out the screenshot of their interaction with a GM after submitting a ticket:
In case you can't read the text in the image, the GM reminds them that there are places in the the Maw that are impossible to access, and characters venture there at their own risk. That any
冥殇
lost to this is gone for good, is the Maw "working as intended."
So what do you think? Is falling off the Maw part of the inherent danger of the environment? Or should it be treated as a bug and lost
冥殇
refunded? Let us know in the comments.
