Unions Call for Second Strike to Protest Closing Versailles Office
Last month, French representative unions CGT, SPECIS-NUNSA, and CFE-CGC called on
Activision Blizzard employees to go on strike
in protest of the planned
closure of their Versailles location
. Today, we've learned of a
planned for November 24th, as the unions continue to fight against the closure of the French office.
While little was heard regarding turnout or results of the last strike, Wccftech did report on a short
Activision Blizzard response
indicating ongoing discussions:
Management of Blizzard France met with the CSE (employee representatives) on 13th October. We are working closely with employee representatives to discuss their feedback as part of this confidential process. It is not appropriate to share further details while these discussions are ongoing, but as always the welfare of our employees remains our priority, and we are focused on supporting our teams at this time.
The flyer is largely similar to the previous, citing three principle demands:
The cancellation of the Versailles office closure.
Diversification of Blizzard activities within France.
Investment in efficient prevention of psycho-social risks
