Shadowlands Profession, Recipe, and Optional Crafting Reagent Guides

With the
recent revamp
to optional crafting reagents on the Shadowlands Alpha, we thought it was a good time to highlight our guides to all Shadowlands professions and the new optional reagent system!
Professions have received intriguing new recipes on the alpha, taking inspiration from Classic WoW with additions like sharpening stones and weapon oils. There's even more on the way tying professions to the upcoming
legendary system
in a future build, where Tailors, Leatherworkers, and Blacksmiths will craft special items needed for legendary armor, keeping these professions relevant throughout the expansion.
Optional Crafting Reagents allow you to customize your crafted gear with additional bonus effects, include the option to select both secondary stats--something players have wanted for several expansions to reduce RNG. If you really want to delve into optional reagents beyond our guide, we've added
database filters
for you to see all the choices.
Without further ado, here are the profession overviews for Shadowlands! Do note that these will be continually updated each build as more recipes are added, as well as more details on leveling up professions and key farming spots as we get closer to launch.
