Shadowlands Custom Premade Group Finder Unlocks at Level 50
In a departure from past expansions, the custom premade group finder in Shadowlands will unlock at level 50, the equivalent of BFA level 120.
As highlighted by MrGM, this appears to be a recent change on the PTR. No official reason has been provided by Blizzard, leading many to speculate this was done to prevent boosting services.
It appears you are meant to level from 10-50 through Chromie Time, and upon hitting the equivalent of BFA max level, access the custom premade group finder from 50-60.
However, this change inconveniences regular players, not just boosters. There are low-level elite quests players will encounter while questing, such as elites in Zuldazar and
in Northrend. There are also low-level achievements like
which relied on Group Finder, as well as creative gatherings like RP events.
Are you a fan of this change or would prefer Group Finder to be accessible to low-level players?
