Patch 7.3 Datamined NPC Dialogue
Completing Argus Invasion
: Complete an invasion
In this straightforward scenario, you defeat waves of invaders, free 12 Illidari, and defeat an end boss. Clearing the invasion awarded 10
: Collect 50
. This is not needed to progress to the next part
Travel to Mac'Aree (4:37)
: Travel to Mac'Aree, the ancient home of Velen.
: Travel to the ruined surface of Mac'Aree with Velen. In this quest, we learn that Velen's trusted lieutenant, Talgath, told Kil'jaeden of his plans to escape Argus. We also learn that the naaru L'ura helped Velen escape, however she's now been twisted and now serves as the final boss in the 7.3 Argus Dungeon
At this point, a cutscene will play showing Velen escaping Argus. This was not visible in game yet, but here is some datamined dialogue under the spoiler button which could be related.
: Talgath has turned against us!
: No... not you too, old friend...
: It cannot end like this. Take the others and go, Prophet. We will buy you time.
: Hatuun, no! You do not have to do this!
: Please... keep my family safe.
: K'ure! Help us!
: I will hunt you across the stars, traitor! Even if it takes a thousand years!
: Find the Prophet! Slaughter his allies!
: Mark my words! Velen must not escape!
: Leave no stone unturned. Find him!
: Failure will be rewarded with torment! The Prophet must not escape!
: The eyes of Antorus are upon you. Find the Prophet or suffer the consequences!
My people, I have called you here to share a revelation.
For so long, we eredar have been alone in the universe.
We need not endure this solitude any longer.
He has shown us the path to a new future.
In partnership with our new ally, the light of the eredar will shine bright across the cosmos!
I ask you, now, to raise your voices in praise. Praise Sargeras!
The beacon of our civilization shining bright... upon what we feared was an empty void.
The Triumvirate has received a visitor from another world!
He offers us power unlike any we have known before.
Triumvirate's End (9:12)
: The spirits of Velen's allies remain tormented as the ghostly battle continues to rage. Help end their suffering by activating the defense pylons, so they do not constantly relive retreating and being slaughtered--they instead feel like they have escaped Argus.
: Retrieve the Arkonite Keystone from the Echo of Khazaduum, one of the first willing participants to join the Legion.
: Repair the Arkonite Matrix beneath Triumvirate's End. This will activate the defense pylons and protect the fleeing spirits.
, allowing players to teleport to Triumvirate's End.
Upon completing this quest series, Velen says:
: My people will never know how I mourned for them... the depths of my regret.
: As Argus grew smaller and smaller in the distance, I begged the naaru to go back.
: "That is not your path," they told me. Is this what they intended?
Conservatory of the Arcane (14:49)
: Begin to search for the Crown of the Triumvirate, starting with the Sigil of Awakening held by Archimonde. Here you will find a construct that should be able to provide information as to the Sigil's location, but it must be activated first.
: Try to awaken the construct.
: Collect partially-digested Arcana as an alternate source of energy for the construct.
: Awaken the gatekeeper. When it comes to life, it is not particularly happy to see the Archmage.
: Conservatory resources are not available to one of your... status.
: Of all people to become Gatekeeper... $n, perhaps you had better do the talking.
Ask about the Sigil:
: The Sigil is the Conservatory's highest honor. Only Archimonde's chosen may pursue this accolade.
: I am obligated to inform you that the master created trials specifically for this purpose.
: I am also required to allow the uninitiated to participate.
Next Quoram gives you three trials related to Archimonde and his pupils:
In completing these trials, the construct tells you a bit more about some familiar faces:
Grand Vizier Jarasum:
Ah, the Grand Vizier.
He acted as the Arc-Consul's second and oversaw much of the day to day operations in the Conservatory.
When discipline was needed, it was often his voice that would ring out. He was not well liked, but he was respected nonetheless.
It is my understanding that he changed his name to
when he took the Legion's fel magics for his own.
Beyond that, I know nothing of his fate.
When you face Jaraxxus in the trial, he exclaims "You face Jarasum, Grand Vizier of the Conservatory!"
Arc-Counsul Velara answered only to Archimonde himself.
She was a focused and quiet individual as I recall. Parallel to the Wakener's guild, she led the Consulate in the pursuit of the powers of creation.
Under her tutelage we vastly expanded our ability to summon creatures of the arcane. The familiars that linger here still bear marks of her expertise. She was also largely responsible for cultivating the shield technology that we use even now.
She took the name
and the title of Archmage when she joined the Legion.
I hope you shall never meet her.
High Wakener Aargon
High Wakener Aargon. Where to start?
He ascended to his position only after his predecessor Thal'kiel was banished. That is a
story for another time
, if you are not familiar with it.
Needless to say he was...an opportunist.
Under his influence we delved deeply into the mysteries of soulbinding. The constructs that roam these streets are his doing. They represent but a fraction of what the Wakeners could do.
Under the Legion he became
To the Army of Light he was known as the Soulcleaver. Where soul engines operated, Aargoss was never far away.
: Face Archimonde in the Praetorium to prove yourself worthy of the Sigil. Return the Sigil to Velen; you'll be awarded with the
ability and a teleport unlock to the conservatory.
: Archimonde was disdainful of the Sigil's limitations. Without the rest of the Crown, it gave him little power. And power was all he ever craved.
: This disdain is what allowed us to recover the Sigil. Had he anticipated its value to us, he most certainly would have destroyed it.
: I do wonder what he hoped to prove with his trials. Was the Sigil itself the test, perhaps? Such a disappointment it might be, to most.
: We are one step closer to unlocking the Vindicaar's true potential. All that remains is the Crest of Knowledge. Then the Crown will once more be whole.
