Drest'agathThe great form of Drest'agath slumbered beneath the Black Empire, until she was awakened by N'Zoth's return. Now, she rises to the surface, like a great boil on the verge of bursting. Parts of Drest'agath have already broken the surface, threatening to spill her pestilence across Azeroth.Normal

Raid Finder

Overview: Drest'agath's appendages burst through the floor and attack enemies who enter her lair. When appendages are destroyed, pools of [Void Infused Ichor] form around their corpse. Enemies who touch [Void Infused Ichor] bypass the continual healing provided by Drest'agath's [Aberrant Regeneration].
In addition to creating pools of [Void Infused Ichor], destroying a tentacle partially fills Drest'agath's Agony bar. Upon reaching 100 Agony, Drest'agath begins [Throes of Agony].

Damage Dealers:
All damage dealt to Drest'agath while not affected by [Void Infused Ichor] will be regenerated.
Destroying appendages can trigger [Throes of Agony].
[Void Glare], [Seismic Crash] and [Mutterings of Insanity] are each increased in power based on how many of each type of appendage is active.
Healers:
Be aware of which allies are inside [Obscuring Cloud], as it will block line of sight in and out of the cloud.
[Throes of Agony] can cause substantial damage to all players.
[Void Glare], [Seismic Crash] and [Mutterings of Insanity] are each increased in power based on who many of each type of appendage is active.
Tanks:
If left alone, Drest'agath will begin using [Void Grip] on random allies.
[Volatile Seed] can be used to apply [Volatile Corruption] to her appendages.
[Void Glare], [Seismic Crash] and [Mutterings of Insanity] are each increased in power based on who many of each type of appendage is active.

Drest'agath

Aberrant Regeneration: Drest'agath regenerates extremely fast, healing 3151 health every 5 sec. Damage caused by players afflicted by Void Infused Ichor can not be healed.
Throes of Agony: Drest'agrath begins flailing in agony, inflicting 15 Nature damage every 2 for 10 sec.

This ability is cast upon reaching 100 Agony
Void Grip: Drest'agath harnesses void energy, drawing the target toward the caster and Stunning them for 5 sec.
This attack is only used by Drest'agath whenever he is not actively engaged in combat.
Volatile Seed: Drest'agath implants a seed of void energy to grow in an enemy, inflicting 30 Shadow damage every 2 sec for 10 sec. Volatile Detonation is triggered upon expiration.
Drest'agath appendages that are within the blast are inflicted with Volatile Corruption.

Volatile Detonation: Inflicts 60 Shadow damage to all players and Appendages of Drest'agath within 15 yards.
Players hit have all damage taken increased by 75% for 15 sec.
Appendages of Drest'agath hit have all damage taken increased by 25% for 15 sec.

Entropic Crash: Drest'agath collapse reality around it, inflicting up to 100 Shadow damage to all enemies. Damage is reduced the further you are from the center.
This triggers all Tentacles of Drest'agath to cast Entropic Crash.
Mutterings of Insanity: Drest'agath whispers lunacy into the minds of an enemy, slowing the target until immobile over 5 sec. On expiration Unleashed Insanity is triggered.
This ability targets 1 additional target for every Maw of Drest'agath active.

Unleashed Insanity: Drest'agath's whispers of insanity become real, inflicting 45 Shadow damage and Stunning all players within 15 yards.

Void Glare: Drest'agath launches a beam of void energy, inflicting 15 Shadow damage every 0.5 sec to everyone it hits.
This triggers all Eyes of Drest'agath to also cast Void Glare.

Appendages of Drest'agath

Void Infused Ichor: Drest'agath's tentacles burst with ichor upon death, leaving pools nearby. Touching these pools will cover the player in Void Infused Ichor, inflicting 10 Shadow damage every 3 sec for 30 sec.
All damage dealt by a player afflicted by Void Infused Ichor can not be healed by Drest'agath.
Throes of Dismemberment: Appendages of Drest'agath, upon death trigger all other appendages of the same type to cast either Errant Blast, Reality Tear, or Spine Eruption. (Mythic)
Dismemberment: Appendages of Drest'agath upon death inflict 5 Agony every 1 sec for 5 sec to Drest'agath.
Eye of Drest'agath

Mind Flay: Eye of Drest'agath channels void energy into an enemy, inflicting 10 Shadow damage every 1 sec and reducing its movement speed for 5 sec.
Errant Blast: Eye of Drest'agath flails in agony blasting the roof, triggering Ceiling Collapse every 3 sec for 9 sec.

This ability is cast upon reaching 100 Agony

Ceiling Collapse: Rocks fall from the ceiling, inflicting 40 Nature damage to everyone within 8 yards.

Tentacle of Drest'agath

Crushing Darkness: Tentacle of Drest'agath slams the ground with void energy, inflicting 30 Shadow damage to enemies in the area.
Void Miasma: Tentacle of Drest'agath creates a cloud of miasma in an 12 yard radius around it, inflicting 0 Shadow damage every 5 sec to all enemies inside. Enemies are unable to target into or out of the Void Miasma. (Heroic, Mythic)
Reality Tear: Tentacle of Drest'agath writhes in agony, ripping a moving hole in reality every 3 sec for 9 sec. The tear inflicts 40 Shadow damage all enemies that touch it.

Maw of Dresta'gath (Normal, Heroic, Mythic)

Mutterings of Betrayal: Maw of Drest'agath periodically whispers warnings of betrayal to nearby enemies, applying a 20 heal absorb to all players within 10 yards. This ability stacks and if the number of stacks ever get to 4, Betrayed is triggered on the player. (Heroic, Mythic)

Betrayed: Drest'agath's whispers make you hostile to everyone.

Acid Splash: Maw of Drest'agath spits a glob of acid at an enemy, inflicting 25 Nature damage to all enemies in a 4 yard radius.
Spine Eruption: Maw of Drest'agath writhes in agony, releasing random sized rings of spines that inflict 45 Physical damage every 3 sec for 9 sec.
This ability is only cast while Drest'agath is channeling Throes of Agony.

Overview: N'Zoth rallies his physical defenses, retreating deeper into his carapace at 50% and 40% health.
Players' sanity balances tenuously throughout the encounter. Wrathion allows players to utilize their [Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve] to recover from Wrathion's [Anchor of Sanity]. Losing all sanity grants [Gift of N'Zoth], then transforms a player into a [Servant of N'Zoth]. Players lose access to Wrathion's aid in the final stage.

Damage Dealers:
Move away from your allies when afflicted with [Madness Bomb] and [Insanity Bomb].
[Adaptive Membrane] transfers full damage to the wearer only if the absorb shield is broken before the duration expires.
Utilize [Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve] during Stage 1 and Stage 2 to recover sanity by Wrathion's side. (Raid Finder, Normal)
Damage Dealers:
Manage Gaze of Madness' [Breed Madness].
Move away from your allies when afflicted with [Madness Bomb] and [Insanity Bomb].

Healers:

[Eternal Darkness] and [Infinite Darkness] inflict sanity loss and high raid-wide damage, and upon losing all sanity a player becomes a [Servant of N'Zoth].
Tanks:
Targets afflicted with [Adaptive Membrane] inflict increased Physical damage and are immune to crowd control and interrupts.
Move away from your allies when afflicted with [Madness Bomb] and [Insanity Bomb].
Utilize [Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve] during Stage 1 and Stage 2 to recover sanity by Wrathion's side.

Sanity: N'Zoth assaults players' Sanity throughout the encounter. When your Sanity reaches 0, N'Zoth invades your mind fully, granting Gift of N'Zoth.

Gift of N'Zoth: Blesses an insane player with 100% increased damage done, but causes the player to become a Servant of N'Zoth after 20 sec.

Servant of N'Zoth: Severs a target's connection to sanity, increasing their health by 100%, charming them permanently, and causing them to do N'Zoth's bidding, casting Mental Decay.

Mental Decay: Deteriorates targeted players' minds, immediately draining 15 sanity and additionally inflicting 4 Shadow damage every second for 12 sec.

Stage 1: Exterior Carapace:
N'Zoth rallies his physical defenses, attacking enemies with massive growth-covered tentacles, eye stalks, and antibodies, retreating at 50% health.

Fury of N'Zoth

Madness Bomb: Plants the seed of madness in targets. After 12 sec this seed explodes inflicting 35 Shadow damage and fearing enemies within 10 yards for 2 sec.
Non-targeted Players affected by the explosion suffer sanity loss.
Adaptive Membrane: Shields a target, absorbing damage for 12 sec. While present the target's Physical damage done is increased by 100%, is immune to Crowd Control and Interrupt effects, and is unable to be slowed to below 100% of normal speed.
If the shield is broken before the duration expires, all damage done to the shield is inflicted to the target. Additionally, this triggers Fragment of Sanity.

Fragment of Sanity: Forms an orb of sanity nearby for 15 sec. Restores sanity to a player upon contact.

Mental Decay: Deteriorates targeted players' minds, immediately draining 15 sanity and additionally inflicting 4 Shadow damage every second for 12 sec.
Mandible Slam: Slams a target with a void-empowered attack, inflicting 80 Physical damage.
Additionally, this triggers Black Scar.

Black Scar: Chars the target with void magic, inflicting 40 Shadow damage and increases the damage the target takes from Black Scar by 100%.
This effect stacks.

Growth-Covered Tentacle: A Growth-Covered Tentacle slams down knocking back and inflicting 10 Nature damage to targets struck.

Horrific Hemorrhage: Expunges a globule of fluid, inflicting 35 Shadow damage to targets within 5 yards of the point of impact, forming a Adaptive Antigen.

Nightmare Antigen

Nightmare Antibody: Successful melee attacks sap the target's potency, inflicting 10 Shadow damage, decreasing haste by 5% and reducing their movement speed by 5% for 4 sec.
This effect stacks.
Adaptive Antigen: The Nightmare Antigen gains Adaptive Antigen periodically, increasing damage done by 10% and preventing them from being slowed below 10% of normal speed.
This effect stacks.

Interconnectedness: When all Horrific Hemorrhages are defeated, the Growth-Covered Tentacle recedes and N'Zoth suffers 8.00% of total health in damage.

Gaze of Madness (Heroic, Mythic)

Breed Madness: Blasts several targets with cerebral force, inflicting increasing Shadow damage, up to 75, every 1 sec for 9 sec.
Invokes Maddening Eruption and Deepening Madness when interrupted or when the channel completes.

Maddening Eruption: Explodes with otherworldly power, draining 15 sanity and inflicting 10 Shadow damage to all players.
Deepening Madness: Increases Breed Madness and Maddening Eruption damage by 5%. This effect stacks.

Interconnectedness: When a Gaze of Madness is defeated, N'Zoth suffers 3.00% of total health in damage.

Wrathion

Anchor of Sanity: Channels a field of willpower, periodically restoring the sanity of players within 0 yards.

Grace of the Black Prince: Movement speed increased by 40% for 10 sec.

Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve: Wrathion's presence empowers players to utilize their Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve.
When activated Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve heals a player for 100%, protects the player from sanity loss, and returns them to Wrathion's side.

Stage 2: Subcutaneous Tunnel:
N'Zoth recovers within a subcutaneous layer of the carapace, healing from growths along the cavern walls and restricting players with regenerating cysts. While any Synthesis Growths remain, N'Zoth is immune to all damage. N'Zoth retreats again upon reaching 40% health.

Fury of N'Zoth

Madness Bomb: Plants the seed of madness in targets. After 12 sec this seed explodes inflicting 35 Shadow damage and fearing enemies within 10 yards for 2 sec.

Mycelial Infusion: Fury of N'Zoth gains 100% increased damage done while standing on the Mycelial Growth.

Regenerative Mass: Regenerates the caster's health by 1% of maximum health every 0.5 sec.

Synthesis Growth

Synthesis: Each Synthesis Growth rejuvinate N'Zoth's health, restoring 10 health every 2 sec., absorbs all damage, and grants immunity to healing reduction effects. This effect stacks.

Wrathion

Anchor of Sanity: Channels a field of willpower, periodically restoring the sanity of players within 0 yards.

Grace of the Black Prince: Movement speed increased by 40% for 10 sec.

Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve: Wrathion's presence empowers players to utilize their Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve.
When activated Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve heals a player for 100%, protects the player from sanity loss, and returns them to Wrathion's side.

Stage 3: Nightmare Chamber:
N'Zoth assaults players with his full suite of remaining defenses while they no longer have Wrathion's aid.

Fury of N'Zoth

Insanity Bomb: Plants the seed of insanity in targets. After 12 sec this seed explodes inflicting 35 Shadow damage and fearing enemies within 10 yards for 12 sec.
Non-targeted Players affected by the explosion suffer sanity loss.

On Thursday, November 7th, and Friday, November 8th, we will be continuing our raid tests in Ny’alotha, the Waking City. Following the scheduled testing on Friday, Ny’alotha, the Waking City will be available on Normal difficulty over the weekend.

All bosses will be available on Normal mode with the exception of the Carapace of N’Zoth and N’Zoth the Corruptor.

As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?

A: In Zuldazar, Boralus, Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade III in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

Q: What character should I use to test the raid?

A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players’ effective level to 120 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.

Q: How long does testing last?

A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we’re satisfied that we’ve received that information for a given boss, we’ll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.
