Metal Musician Nivan Sharma Covers Stormwind City
Most of the fan art that we showcase is visual, but today we have something special. Metal Musician Nivan Sharma has a You Tube channel dedicated to Heavy Metal covers of video game music that he has arranged. He puts out a new cover every Tuesday and this week his cover is the Stormwind City Theme. Perhaps surprisingly this theme lends itself really well to a metal adaptation. The final result is reminiscent of German bands Helloween and Blind Guardian. Check this out!

Metal music and World of Warcraft have a long history. From the in and out of game band, Elite Tauren Chieftains, to references and nods throughout the game, it is very apparent that many at Blizzard are fans. Senior Art Director,
, has even created album covers for Swedish heavy metal band HammerFall. Heavy Metal icons, Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica have performed at BlizzCon, Metallica even making an appearance this year at BlizzConline.
Shadowlands has more Metal references than ever, especially in Maldraxxas, and in the final fight in Castle Nathria, Sire Denathrias yells "Scream for me!" which is the catch phrase of Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson.
