Last Chance to Jumpstart Death Knight and Demon Hunter Leveling Before the Shadowlands Prepatch

With the
Shadowlands
prepatch going live tomorrow, today is your very last chance to
jumpstart Death Knight and Demon Hunter leveling
by creating a new character before the leveling squish!
Although it sounds counter intuitive to make these new characters early, the leveling squish affects these classes a bit differently than others due to their higher starting level. Created today, Death Knights start at level 55 and Demon Hunters at 98, whereas starting tomorrow, both classes start at level 8. However, due to the level squish, that level 55 Death Knight you make today will instead be changed to level 27 tomorrow, while a level 98 Demon Hunter will be level 39, both significantly higher than if they were created tomorrow.

This curious effect of the leveling squish means you can get a significant headstart on leveling a brand new Death Knight or Demon Hunter simply by making it today, before the prepatch hits, even if you don't plan to level it right away. Blizzard has yet to comment on this interaction so it's possible that it could be fixed tomorrow, but there's really nothing to lose by giving it a try!
