Solo vs. Group Horrific Visions

Solo

Pros

Cons

Due to low scaling, your cooldowns are capable of killing troublesome enemies very quickly.
Full benefit from the Titanic Research upgrade, 非凡净化专精.
Full benefit from 精英屠灭, as only the player who lands a killing blow gains Sanity.
Full benefit from Vials hidden throughout the city, as only one person can benefit from a vial.

If you die or hit 0 Sanity, your run is over as there is nobody that can revive you. 紧急头颅除颤 can save you once.
Nobody to cover for you if you get disconnected from the game for whatever reason.
Only some classes and roles may have high efficiency at clearing Horrific Visions solo.
If you are a healer queueing solo, you'll need to play a DPS spec, Tank spec, or do high damage as your healer spec to be efficient.

Group

Pros

Cons

Able to divide and conquer objectives that require both killing enemies and interacting with objects. This makes completing some objectives faster.

Players can revive each other by donating half of their remaining Sanity to their ally that has died or hit 0 Sanity.

Classes and roles that may underperform or players with low cloak levels in this kind of content can be helped along by their friends.
Healers and Tanks are pretty useful.
Tradeable loot at the end of the vision.

Enemy health scales significantly per player. In most cases, this will result in enemies taking longer to kill in a group.
Some Madness and Faceless Masks effects affect other players as well. 疯狂：捕风捉影, the fire pools spawned from 疯狂：灼热跳跃, 无面者的暗思面具, and the void zones spawned by 无面者的绝路面具 are visible to all players and are affected by them even if they aren't the source of them. This can lead to hectic gameplay.
Some enemies cast their abilities on all players, potentially causing more void zones to spawn.
