Guild Exorsus Faction Changed to Alliance for Castle Nathria
At some point during this week, the Russian Guild Exorsus (Экзорсус, EU-Howling Fjord), one of the contenders for the World First crown in Castle Nathria,
has faction changed to Alliance
The change seems to be motivated by the number of Bleed mechanics present in Castle Nathria, making
a strong tool to have in your arsenal to have an edge in the race. There is no way to judge how impactful in the World First race having the majority of the raid equipped with
, but Exorsus believe it will be an important tool for the race.
With this change, will we see other guilds like Limit, Echo, and Pieces also going Alliance to match Exorsus?
Bleeds in Castle Nathria
Castle Nathria has a few bleed effects among its bosses, like
in Sire Denathrius,
from Sun King's Salvation, and
from Shriekwing. But we believe that the main reason for Exorsus to have transferred is
from Stone Legion Generals.
Normally, the only way to remove
, which is cast in a random player, meaning you have no control over who gets cleared. Having tools like
to control the removal of these debuffs seem to be important during Stone Legion Generals

Does this mean all top guilds will go Alliance?
No. Even if some of the top guilds go Alliance, they are likely to transfer back over once progression is done due to the community support present on the Horde side, which is the real advantage of being Horde. Remember, these are guilds that are willing to go long distances to get any possible advantage, including faction change their whole roster twice.
A good example of this was Limit in 8.2, which faction changed raiders in order to catch the first Darkshore Warfront cycle, which wouldn't happen for Horde until the second week of Mythic.
Does this mean Castle Nathria will be only completed by Alliance Guilds?
