Garrosh Weapons and WoD Heirloom Trinkets Can Be Equipped at Level 1 in Shadowlands
Garrosh Weapons and WoD heirloom trinkets have their minimum required levels lowered to level 1 in Shadowlands. Both types of heirlooms, currently unobtainable, were powerful items players could equip midway through the leveling process. Now with Shadowlands changes, they can equip them right away at level 1.
Thanks to Chris for emailing feedback about this topic!
Back during Siege of Orgrimmar, Garrosh Hellscream had a chance to drop heirlooms for players. These are still lucrative several expansions later, as they all come with two sockets and a socket bonus. In Battle for Azeroth, players needed to be
to equip these heirlooms. However following the Shadowlands leveling squish, these weapons can be equipped at Level 1 instead.
The two sockets in these heirlooms are very powerful, and if players can now use these weapons at low-levels it could explain why Blizzard
removed experience gems
also in the most recent beta update.
Another set of heirloom items with lowered level requirements are the trinkets from Warlords Mythic dungeons which all came with interesting procs and bonus damage against Demons. In Battle for Azeroth, these trinkets were only usable starting at
so there wasn't much of a window to use them. But now following the Shadowlands leveling squish, these trinkets can be equipped at Level 1 instead.
While you can't obtain these items anymore, below is a list if you're curious:
Axe, 1-hand (Agility)
Mace, 1-hand (Intellect)
Sword, 1-hand (Strength)
Axe, 2-hand (Strength)
