Encrypted Hints on the 8.2.5 PTR - Saurfang Model and Recruit a Friend Rewards

The 8.2.5 PTR opened with great fanfare last month, featuring models like
Wrathion and Calia
that set everyone abuzz. However, the PTR has been extremely quiet since, with many details encrypted to remain hidden to players. In this article, we'll take a look at some hints surrounding the hidden content, related to Saurfang and Recruit a Friend.
With BlizzCon 2019 on the horizon, it makes sense that Blizzard wants to keep important story elements under wraps through encryption. Based on the
key art
featuring Sylvanas, we'll finally learn more about the Dark Lady's master plan--either in Patch 8.3 or a brand-new expansion.
Blizzard tends to use encrypted models to hide upcoming promotional items or content, such as
Shu'zen the Divine Sentinel
.
Saurfang Model
Files encrypted with TactKey ID: 263 contains the encrypted Saurfang model, which is likely linked to these texture files.
The first texture above includes his son's necklace from the cinematic
Old Soldier
, the necklace Saurfang felt himself unworthy to wear after the events of Teldrassil. Based on the texture file, it looks like he's once again ready to wear the necklace. While he has worn the necklace in recent cinematics, his in-game model for BFA did not include the necklace.
How did we make the link:
瓦罗克·萨鲁法尔
is a Patch 8.2.5 version of Saurfang which links to reature DisplayID: 93248 that is linked to FileID: 3065329. That is an encrypted Model file with TactKey 263.
This same key is used to encrypt a lot of data related to Scenescripts, which implies we'll have many cutscenes in-game featuring Saurfang. Don't forget there may be a
Durotar Warfront
on the way, which would tie in with Saurfang's rebellion and plans to unseat Sylvanas.
Recruit a Friend
Next, we have Tactkey 271 which is related to Recruit a Friend content.
We have two creature models:
DisplayID 93204 is linked to model file 2990678, which is a battle pet called
里奇
.
DisplayID 93202, is linked to file 3022473 but we don't have any info on what that could be.
Tactkey 271 also comes with an encrypted RAF armor set, one of the new rewards in Patch 8.2.5. Earlier in the PTR, we
datamined an incomplete version
with detailed elements encrypted for the tabard, waist, shoulders and helm.

The remaining tactkeys are for more encrypted creature models:

As TOM_RUS pointed out, two creatures have murloc-themed sounds, implying these could be BlizzCon or other promotional pets:
Creature DisplayID: 93312 has links to sound/creature/murkadin/
Creature DisplayID: 93311 has links to sound/creature/babymurloc/
There are also some encrypted things from past PTRs which remain a mystery, such as the Encrypted15 creature model and Item\ObjectComponents\Cape\8XP_Encrypted07.blp whose icon resembles a Heart of Azeroth cloak.
