Part 1 - Blackrock Depths Scenario
The Dark Irons are trying to have a more formal partnership with the Alliance and King Anduin asks the Dark iron to research Azerite. They made a breakthrough and ask the player to head to Blackrock Depths to check it out.
Players arrive in Blackrock Depths and walk with Moira to the Black Anvil.
Thanks fer comin', <player>
I've had me best workin' on refinin' Azerite since it first appeared in our depths.
They're making progress. Anduin keeps askin' fer updates seems like every day, so I thought we'd show ye what we've learned.
A Bit o' Azerite
Upon reaching the Black Anvil, the player is tasked with placing some Azerite on the Anvil.
Thaelin, Thurgaden, put yer backs into it.
Mind poppin' some more Azerite up on the anvil fer me, <player?>
<class>, we're sure tae encounter spontaneous azer-genesis incidents while shaping' the Azerite. Think ye can handle it?
What the curmudgeonly bookworm means is, watch our backs when the elements attack us.
The player must now defend the Anvil.
We've discovered the application o' great magic tae Azerite can have some unexpected results.
Slag in the Works
A Dark Iron Dwarf runs in and alerts us that the Goblins are here.
Goblins! In the tunnels!
Thoughts ye oughta know.
: Spineless green turds think tae attack us in our home?!
: Anvil-Thane, go gather yer sorcerers fer a counterattack!
: Champion, take the Dark Iron Highway an' see that it's secure!
: Thaelin, head up through the Hall o' Craftin'! They might be on the way tae the Black Vault.
Scorching the Sky
The player then heads to the Dark Iron Highway and clears out some Venture Co. Skyscorchers.
Just when things starts lookin' good fer us.
Dark Iron Highway
Now that you've claimed it, you need to hold it.
All right, ye made quick work o' those! We're openin' the door. I can heare a whole lot o' enemies on the other side. Watch yer back!
Scoria in Flux
And finish it off by attempting to kill Rixxa Fluxflame and her Coin-Operated Crowd Pummeler, two of the bosses in
The MOTHERLODE!! dungeon.
Hammer to the Anvil
Now, you return to the Black Anvil.
Everyone meet back at the Black Anvil! We need a damage report!
Part 2: The MOTHERLODE!! Dungeon
Once you return to the Black Anvil, Moira tells you to go kill Mogul Razdunk, the final boss of
The MOTHERLODE!! dungeon
to recover Ironfoe.
: Queen-Regent! Are ye all right lass?!
: I'm fine. Ye don't look so good yerself.
: Some sort o' pummeler ambushed me an' stole Ironfoe!
: Son o' the core! That must've been the big mech that slammed into me!
: You two, open yer eyes! Look at the Black Anvil!
: Hell's bells!
: Anvil-Thane, Darkanvil, figure out how tae repair the Black Anvil
: <player>, I've got another task fer ye.. Those savages were Venture Co. That means they're gonna be in Kezan, probably deliverin' Ironfoe into the greasy hands o' Mogul Razdunk as we speak.
: Will ye go recover the hammer? It's a power unto itself an' could spell disaster fer us if the goblins figure out how tae use it.
Part 3 - Molten Core
Now the Dark Irons need to restore the Black Anvil and Moira sends you to Molten Core to get a Fragment o' it.
: We'll need tankloads o' dark iron tae repair this thing!
: The Black Anvil is built o' only the purest dark iron, smelted an' refined wi' secrets I canna reveal tae any but our most trusted miners an' blacksmiths.
: Dinna be greedy, Thaelin. <player> has important tasks ahead.
: We both know ye have a near-infinite store o' ore in the Black Vault.
: Aye, lass. Aye, yer right. Apologies, <player>.p
Upon entering Molten Core, you see a large tank and a lot of enemies in front of you.
: Alright, $n, ye might think this'll be a quick snatch an' grab, an' ye'd almost be right.
: Only problem is we've got a bunch o' fiery beasties on our way down tae Ragnaros' old lair.
: Nae tae mention we're likely goin' tae deal with ol' Gezzrok before we're allowed a piece o' the Core.
: Anyway, me tank should make things a bit easier. Try nae tae scratch 'er while I get some things ready.
Hop in the Tank and make your way down. When you get to Ragnaros' Lair, you have find Gezzrok the Keeper there.
Gezzrok the Keeper
: Who approaches?
: Thaelin Darkanvil o' the Dark Iron clan.
Gezzrok the Keeper
: And what do you seek, child of fire?
: We need a piece o' the Molten Core tae repair the Black Anvil.
Gezzrok the Keeper
: Yes, you do. Defeat me and you may return with a fragment of the Core.
Defeat him to loot the core.
Gezzrok the Keeper
: Very well. You have earned a piece of the Molten Core. Use it wisely.
: She's a beauty, ain't she? Let's get outta here. The mole machine should get us back tae Stormwind in one piece.
Part 4 - Firelands Scenario
Now you must head to the Firelands to empower the Fragment of the Molten Core by charging it up by Ragnaros' swimming pool.
Stage 1: The Bridgekeeper
You arrive in the Firelands with Anvil-Thane but there's a problem as some Dark Iron Dwarves are trying to bring back Ragnaros, blocking the bridge to his lair!
: Ah, that's the stuff... the scent o' fire in the mornin'... an' noon, an' night. We need tae delve into the Firelord's lair tae get that Molten Core charged up.
: What's the meanin' o' this?
Dark Iron Cultist
: Who ordered the bridge closed? Who's in charge 'ere?
Dark Iron Cultist:
Uh... Well, ye see...
: Enough o' yer hemmin' and hawin'. Spit it out, lad!
Dark Iron Cultist
: ANVIL-THANE THURGADEN IS HERE! ALERT HIGH JUSTICE GRIMSTONE!
Stage 2: Cult of Ragnaros
Working your way across the bridge, you must defeat the cultists and their allies.
Stage 3: High-Justice Grimstone
You head to Ragnaros' swimming pool and find High-Justice Grimstone there and confront him.
: Grimstone... What in the core is goin' on here? Where is Smolderon?
: All in due time, Anvil-Thane. Ye know as well as I that the Queen-Regent is soft. Weak.
: Tread carefully, Harrold. Ye're walkin' on hot coals with talk like that.
: Show some respect! Ye will address me by me title.
: Fine. Tread carefully, Herald. Ye blaspheme against our rightful leader.
: Rightful leader? There's nae fire in Moira's veins. Our rightful leader is the true Lord o' Flame, not some Bronzebeard whelp... nor a pretender to his throne.
: Ragnaros?! Ye mean tae bring that tyrant back? When the Sorcerer-Thane tried that, he--
: While Thaurissan did nae lack fer vision, his folly was tryin' tae control the Firelord. Instead, we must serve him in all things.
: Ye think that ragged band o' embers ye gathered will impress him? I believe we snuffed out most o' yer rabble cultists on our way in here.
: When the true Firelord rises again, all faithful Dark Irons will heed his call. Do ye mean tae oppose us?
: Yer darn well right I do!
: Very well. Nae sense in further pleasantries, then.
Stage 4: Herald of Ragnaros
It's time to take down the High Justice.
Fie on ye! Mark me words... the Firelord will have his due. See ye then... old friend.
Stage 5: Power of Ragnaros
We can now turn our attentions back to charging up the
This is grave news, <player>. Grimstone and his fanatics workin' tae bring Ragnaros back... Thought he'd know better.
But first things first. We need tae get that Molten Core charged up so we can fix the Black Anvil.
That should do it! Let's get outta here.
I'll get our finest scouts lookin' fer Grimstone. We need tae stop that mad bastard before he brainwashes more followers.
Part 5: Blackrock Depths
With all the pieces, you now return to Blackrock Depths to repair the anvil.
: The final stroke is your, <player>.
: We decided tae make a few upgrades while repairin' the Black Anvil.
: Aye. I was dubious about this whole arrangement, but it seems things have worked out fer the better.
: We've done it! Let us return to Stormwind and report to the King.
Part 6: Stormwind Embassy
Returning to Stormwind and talking to Anduin, you'll receive the
and the ability to create a Dark Iron Dwarf Allied Race!
: Queen-Regent Thaurissan. I am most please to see you again.
: Same to ye, King Wrynn.
: Your position on the Council of Three Hammers has helped maintain order and stability in Ironforge.
: And thought the Dark Iron clan is known for its... independent spirit, no one can question your people's determination and loyalty.
: Yet we have never officially asked your clan to stand with us in the Alliance... an oversight I hope you will forgive, and permit me to rectify.
: Eh, just a formality, King! No harm done.
: The Dark Iron accept your invitation. For the Alliance!
: For the Alliance!
