Covenant Hearthstone Toys Can Only Be Used by Players of that Covenant

Blizzard has changed the Covenant Hearthstone toys to only work for players of that particular covenant. Previously, you could use the toys on any character once they were learned in your Toy Box. Now, you will receive an error that you must be pledged to a specific covenant in order to use the item.
This change was caught by Wowhead staffer Anshlun upon logging in after the weekly reset, and confirmed by reading new comments left on the Covenant Hearthstone pages. It appears

has always been restricted, but the other three toys were changed today.
Each Covenant Hearthstone has as unique animation and requires Renown 11 to purchase:
