Before raids opened, running these dungeons was useful for their powerful 2 piece itemsets with procs. However, there are still reasons to become attuned now:
You should progress towards Nightfallen reputation and quests to eventually complete
You must be attuned to these two dungeons in order to have a chance to get their Mythic+ Keystone.
Several achievements for
require these dungeons.
The Mythic+ Dungeon system is a new mode of content that offers players an endlessly scaling challenge in 5-player dungeons. The system allows players to compete against a timer, similar to Challenge Modes, but has much more lenient times so that the emphasis is on solid execution rather than pure speed.
In order to start a Mythic+ dungeon, someone in your group needs to have looted a
for that particular dungeon. Players may complete any Mythic dungeon in order to receive a Mythic Keystone.
To receive a better keystone to try a harder difficulty (and get better loot), the party must complete a Mythic+ dungeon successfully. This will upgrade the keystone belonging to the player who started the run.
There are two types of loot from Mythic+ Dungeons:
At the end of a successful run, a chest will appear rewarding two players with loot.
At the start of the next dungeon reset, a chest will appear in your Class Hall with loot that corresponds to the highest difficulty dungeon completed in the past week.
If you completed a run but did not provide a keystone, it is good etiquette to acquire your own keystone and invite the party who previously helped you out.

If you have your eye on artifact appearances or mounts from higher Prestige levels which are not available yet, you will want to start the Prestige grind now. Prestige does not reset between seasons. So if you have your eye on an Artifact Appearance which requires rank 5, which opens up in Season 2, you will have to grind through all the other levels first which Season 1 introduced.
The rewards currently available are:
Honor Level 50, no prestige:
