Azeroth From Space - The Whole World Rendered in 3D
Artist and Game Dev Kruithne has been publishing WoW 3D Guides for their Patreons. After creating a guide for importing WoW continents into Blender they wondered whether they could, y'know, just render the whole world. And so they tried it, and posted it on
To answer that, here is a 450,000,000+ triangle, 16k resolution render of the entire world of Azeroth, complete with buildings, cities and more.
This project took an extraordinary amount of careful planning, scripting and time to complete.
The details are terrific, from Zandalar all the way to the adorable Wandering Isle.
Every object is rendered at full-resolution with no texture down-scaling and no mesh deductions - 100% pure from wow.export, even the cities.
This truly is a labor of love. The time, effort, and skill that was brought to bear to show us Azeroth as we have never seen her before is mind boggling.
A lot of areas required special work, such as terra-forming Ghostlands (and above) onto Eastern Kingdoms, or compositing the new Silithus phase into Kalimdor.
You may notice that Nazjatar is missing:
There were a few complications, but despite having plans on how to fix them, I couldn't realistically allot any more time to this so it ended up getting left out.
