Artifact Knowledge and Artifact Power Changes Reverted on 8.2 PTR

Sometime over the last day or two, Blizzard appears to have hotfixed out the
recent Artifact Knowledge and Artifact Power changes
on the 8.2 PTR. If you're planning to grind for the Minor Essence slot at level 55, this makes the grind much easier.
How We Found Out
Using 3 datapoints at neck level 50, 55 and 60 on the PTR, something had changed regarding the amount of Artifact Power needed to level up your Heart of Azeroth. After some math, we worked out that the
recent changes
were scrapped on the PTR and reverted to the original values.
The datapoints that we have are on the
current level of Artifact Knowledge
on the PTR:
Level 50 - 10355
Level 55 - 38455

These values are all 1.3^5 apart from each other, compared to the 1.5 multiplier of the previous change. Taking all that into account, comparing to some neck levels between 46 and 49 and doing math, we came to the conclusion that the PTR is currently on Week 6 of Artifact Knowledge and both the Artifact Power requirements and Artifact Knowledge multipliers have been reverted to 1.3x.
Updated Values and Table
Assuming this now goes live on Tuesday, we've included the table for neck level 46+ below. We still don't know when Artifact Knowledge is going to begin, but the table below assume it'll start on July 9th with the start of Season 3.
Since this is still on the PTR, it is subject to change again before the patch Tuesday.

Grind to 55
If you plan on grinding to 55 without the help of Artifact Knowledge for the extra
Minor Essence slot
, your job just got a whole lot easier. Now you only need to grind out
453,270 Artifact Power
(down from 1,123,760) without Artifact Knowledge, about 60% less Artifact Power!
Have fun in Island Expeditions.
Other Oddities
While the numbers for Heart of Azeroth levels 46+ worked out very well, we had two neck levels (44 and 45) where the numbers did not match to the pattern above.
The level 44 neck only required about 50% of the speculated Artifact Power.
The level 45 neck only required about 75% of the speculated Artifact Power.
We speculate that this be a bonus catch up mechanism for players who are extra behind, to get them more caught up with everyone else.
