All Non-Shadowlands Versions of Drums Will Be Deactivated At Level 50 in Shadowlands
This recent Shadowlands Beta Build has nerfed all non-Shadowlands versions of Bloodlust / Heroism Drums, disabling their use once a character reaches Level 50. This will apply once Shadowlands goes live, so it's time to use up all your remaining Drums before launch!
Non-Shadowlands Drums Deactivated at Level 50
Once Shadowlands goes live, all non-Shadowlands Drums will be deactivated once a player reaches level 50. This is likely to force players to update to the new Drums, and create an economy around the mats needed to craft it.
Here are a list of all Non-Shadowlands versions of Drums that are being deactivated at level 50.
- Battle for Azeroth Drums
- Legion Drums
- Warlords of Draenor Drums
- Mists of Pandaria Drums
All other versions of Drums have already been retired with the launch of the Shadowlands Pre-Patch. Make sure to use all of these old Drums before Shadowlands launches, or else they'll only work for low level alts.
Shadowlands Version of Drums
The only set of Drums that you'll be able to use in Shadowlands is
As usual, this requires a Leatherworker and the mats are 3
per craft. This means that in the first few weeks of the expansion, the cost of Drums will likely be expensive with a low amount of gathering materials in the economy. You might want to make some Mage, Hunter or Shaman friends!
Mallet of Thunderous Skins
currently is not capped by level meaning that Leatherworkers who have obtained this special item in Battle for Azeroth will be able to continue using it in Shadowlands. It gives the same effect as Drums, but you won't need to pay for Drums!
