This mount is not currently obtainable.
As of patch 5.4 this mount has finally become available. Players who have reached Exalted with Shaohao may purchase it for 100000 (one hundred-thousand)
on the Timeless Isle.(##RESPBREAK##)2060##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##
One expects it will look like Tsulong's day form, as Heavenly Onyx looks like his night form. It will be a sad oversight if Blizzard does not put this in.
Its right here
so i think it will be in.
There are currently 10x mounts listed on one's armory that are not live. This mount is one of them and can be seen below. Feel free to review the updated status of all 350+ mounts in the game in

This mount is currently tied to the Shaohao faction, which most likely is featured on the timeless isle, since the quartermaster is there. All items on the quartermaster are currently free. However, this item is the only item not on the vendor, so perhaps it is a quest related reward (like the onyx serpent from the shado-pan), or is it obtained in another fashion
This mount is going to be avaible in 5.4!
It is bought for 100000 Timeless Coins from becoming Venerate with Shaohao on the Timeless Isle

Gladiator Cloud Serpents color changes depending upon their corresponding PvP season. These Cloud Serpents are armored, rather than electric or fancy glowing. Though, once the season corresponding to that Cloud Serpent is over, the mount is no longer available. Meaning that the Pale/White is currently unavailable. Like most other Gladiator mounts, it will probably never be available again.
Corrections are more than welcome, please reply if you have more accurate information. :)
great another cloud serpent cause we dont have enough of those
As other people have said, this mount will become available come 5.4 after becoming Venerate with Shaohao.
I imagine the model will look like a saddled up
A new screenshot was posted, confirming the Tsulong Daytime model. Very cool!
I can Confirm theese facts:
--------Blizz increased the rep requirements AGAIN! Now its like Shado-pan, first 3000- 6000- 12,000 then 21,000 for Exalted / Venerate.
Its ANMOYING AND HARD! to farm, Just kill yaungols in firewalker ruins, I spent 1-2 days on it., now im rank 4, its fixed.
PRICE CHANGED!: After latest build, Blizzard pumped the price from 22500 to 100,000 Timeless coins, So far i spent all day on it, but i got it :) SO WORTH IT! "In my opinion"
I guarantee that it looks epic - And account bound, you only need rep on 1 char and all ur other chars can fly it.
I just posted screenshot above.
This mount is bought for 100,000 coins on the timeless isles, my trick is to grab a friend and farm the Yaungols or go to the cave with the jade spirits.. hmm, forget the name at the moment.. but there is little shards in there about 5-8 each, and a few chests. Killing the mobs in there gives around 40 per kill, and then the bigger mobs are slightly harder but drop about 80 timeless coins.
This quest won't be easy..
As I always say, Happy hunting for this mount!
Tsulong have we been waiting to get this mount
One does not buy a Cloud Serpent for one-hundred thousand Timeless Coin and sell it for one copper.
Just got this on live EU, farmed it with 5 players to get maximum killing speed. I don't know how many hours it took, probably 15+. But it was worth it, had 135k coins after i got exalted. Will submit screenshot. Totally worth it and it looks awesome. :D
Got it after 2 and a half days of crazy farming. Decided to farm the elite yaungols in the Blazing Way and found it to be an awesome farming place. Started farming solo but then I tried doing it in a group and it really worked well(the problem with solo is that there are so many people around that finding a mob to kill is tough and time consuming).
Get a group of 5 people, go up to the "Shrine of the Black Flame" and start killing mobs there, camp this place and since the respawn rate is really fast you'll be killing elites almost non-stop. The reputation increases very fast and it's totally worth it. If someone leaves your group ask around for another person and there are always interested people. Also, this place is really good because you can see Huolon spawning, which means you will be killling him tons of times during the farming, meaning that you could get the mount as you farm reputation.
Good luck everybody! It's certainly worth the effort.
I recently obtained this mount on live so allow me to answer some questions I've been getting.
Where did you get it, how much does it cost, and what are the requirements?
You can buy this mount from
(42,54) for 100,000
s after achieving exalted rep with Emperor Shaohao. Mistweaver Ku can be found to the right of Emperor Shaohao, the pandaren floating on the pedestal near the Celestials, if you're facing his backside.
Where did you farm?
There are 3 main spots to farm for rep if you do
have the legendary cloak; the Firewalker Ruins, The Blazing Way, and just outside of the Ordon Sanctuary. Without the cloak, you can get to the plateau either by hopping on a two-person mount with someone who does and jump over, taking a
and dropping down, jump off the bridge and be mass resurrected, and other creative ways like flying to the isle and using a glider such as
have the cloak, then I recommend farming inside the Ordon Sanctuary itself as there is usually less competition.
You will get an abundance of coins on your journey to exalted from drops alone with plenty to spare. Doing the quests and dailies rewards an upwards of 1,000 coins or more and occasionally a tiny bit of reputation.
How did you get it so fast?
It is best to have a group of 5 and no more. You'll receive no coins in a raid group and reputation will diminish after 5 players. A composition of a tank/healer/3 dps works well enough, but it is most efficient if you can find 5 dps that can avoid the major attacks completely, use self heals/cooldowns, and just burn 1-2 mobs at a time.
How long did it take?
I did two 7-8 hour sessions over two days and went from Neutral to Exalted at a rate of 2,100 rep per hour, give or take. I had the guild
perk and used my
whenever I could for another 15%. The rate at which you receive reputation will greatly depend on the competition and how quickly you can move from one mob to the next which is why I recommend 5 high damage dealers.
I hit the 100k coins mark shortly after reaching Revered.
I hope someone found this information helpful. Goodluck and happy farming. (:
I've been waiting
long for this mount!
Looks like Yu'lon made of amber instead of jade. Awesome.
For someone who's gone on record saying that he's "buried his anger, hatred and violence", Emperor Shaohao sure is one bloodthirsty panda. The legions of cows that he demands you slay for this mount really makes me question how pure his intentions are...
I have just got it last night, after farming for 2 days on off, running on average 2k rep/hour. Here are the things that might be helpful.
Firewalker Ruins has the best rep/hr in my opinion as the mobs spawn really fast, and you basically wont die easily here, if you are killing too fast in a grp of 5, i suggest you have everyone spacing out around the area, mass pull to mid and aoe them down, repeat, *up to 4k rep/hour*
Blazing Way gives average 17rep per mob but it spawns slow, its risky as the mobs here is harder to kill/aoe and they have close spacing, and they cast the flaming pot(kiln) which buff them, makes their aoe harder to dodge. *avg 2k rep/hour*
Around Ordor Sanc gives 22rep per mob, this place require heal in your grp, and better geared dps, for maximum efficiency. Personally i suggest having range dps is better here, i have a group of 5 rdps, just let lock/hunter pet pull to avoid the mob charge, it makes the job really easy. *avg 2.5k rep/hour assuming u r killing 1mob every 30s*
Finally, using OQueue addon allows you to grp with people across realms, so if your realm is high populated i suggest you inv someone from low pop realm and have them re inv you back for phase change to their realm, so u can have all mobs by your grp. Also, forming a grp of 5 take me less than a minute using that addon.
Happy farming, the moment you fly it, its worth it ^^
Seriously try this mount in Dustwallow Marsh. He emits light!
It'll take me a while, but I'll get that mount. I just know I will.
How long will it take to farm the mount ?
Since 5.4 patch day till yesterday was the time it took me to get exalted with Shaohao to be able to buy this mount. From what i've seen, the best thing to do for quick rep farming is farm in & around Ordon Sanctuary/Back Sanctuary where Urdur spawns. Have someone who has the legendary cloak to give a jump over to party members who don't have cloak & just keep farming the mobs in &/or around the sanctuary. If you do not have legendary cloak...DO NOT GO INSIDE OF ORDON SANCTUARY (where Ordos is!) It will port you out to Celestial Court. I'm a 545 BM hunter using a turtle pet for shell shield. My best group consisted of a 540+ frost mage, 2 hunters (me included, other hunter wasn't 545 ilvl though) & 2 540+ warlocks. We took down all the mobs like it was a piece of cake. I'd stay away from the High Priest of Ordos if you don't have anyone who can lust as they hit like trains. Rare mobs like Urdur & Flint Lord give 44 rep where High Priest of Ordos gives 27 rep & the rest of the mobs give 22 rep. Champions of Black Flame have given me between 6-34 rep per 3 a trio kill.
A group of ranged/casters would be the best way to go but we all know everyone needs rep so that doesn't always work out. It seems the Ordon mobs on Timeless Isle were made for ranged/casters instead of melee. We can ALL attest to Cinderfall 1 shotting us 1 time or another right? More so for you melee folks than us ranged. Helps a LOT having a hunter, mage or lock in your group as pets of any sort take ZERO damage. Which is total bullcrap but whatever it keeps us alive so that's all that matters.
These were just some thoughts of a successful hunter who finally got exalted. Good luck & hope this helps somebody!

The grind is over!
Made EXALTED rep today. I only powered through about half of the revered rep - the upper half. Before that it was just casual killing for the dailies and such. But for the upper half - it was a brutal grind. Doing the dailies, camping Houlon, and getting a fast paced group that could kill them quickly is key to NOT lose your mind.
Not as bad as the Insane in the Membrane of course - more along the lines of the Timbermaw grind...
But it's an awesome looking mount - so well worth the grind - not to mention I got Houlon's mount as well plus little goodies here and there like the daggers and the Kiln...
But find a good group - that is key.
For those thinking this mount might not be worth the grind, I've found this one to be better than I expected, especially light of the fact that the luminescent mane and talons take on the color hue of certain zones. In the Swamp of Sorrows, for example, it has more of a greenish tone. The overall blue hue of Zangarmarsh is also adopted by it. Neat yet unexpected effect with this mount.
Does this look like the WoW Store mount "Heart of the Aspects" without wings to anyone else? Or is it just me? XD
Just a heads-up: It took me about 7 hours straight of grinding from mid-Friendly to Exalted while grouped on the Ordon Sanctuary. The 100k coins are easily gathered through the reputation grind, so it's nothing to be concerned about. The sanctuary is only slightly larger than the guild banner's area of effect, so putting one down in the middle before killing is a good idea.
Totaly worth the time farming the 100k coins.
Looks awesome !
Just to add my insignificant stone to this, explaining quickly how 'easy' it was to farm exalted in few hours :
Farm at 68;35 big fat group. about 300 rep per pull.
to pull. it instantly aggroes every mob on the spot if used near the brasero, except one under his tree at the Southeast, just pull him with anything ranged afterwards.
use cross realm assist to hop from server to server. prefer groups with fewer than 5 members, remember you also need 100K coins, and they don't drop if you're in a raid.
get beefy. the mobs hit pretty hard. I farmed with a tank spec.
following these, I did about 6-7K rep an hour. not a breeze to get exalted, but eh, only 8h of farming, and no RNG *!@#ing this up.
If you stare into this mount's eyes long enough you can actually start to feel yours burn off.
FYI the battle horn doesn't work like previously mentioned. I spent 3 days farming the damn thing just to go to the Timeless Isle and use it with nothing happening.
I ended up joining a group today and spent about 6 hours farming mobs around 70, 58 which took me from neutral to revered and gave me 50,000 Timeless Coins. Decided to take a break and work on revered to exalted another day.
There was at least an hour and a half wasted due to people being jerks. Had two alliance rogues that just continuously sapped us for 30 minutes straight which put a dent in the grind. Then had about an hour of horde and alliance showing up to try and get bloody coins off of us. As a prot pally I'm pretty hard to kill which turned into a challenge for them as they kept coming back again and again just to run away when they ran out of cooldowns. Even had a ret pally bubble hearth and then rage whisper me after spending 20 minutes straight trying to kill me. I'm really going to miss the 15% self heal when they change my legendary belt:(
Anyway expect this grind to take a while if you're on a PVP server. There's lots of activity due to people waiting on Huolon to respawn. There's a half hour between respawns where people are bored and looking for something to pass the time.
Update: I finished up the rep grind today and ended with 120k Timeless Coins. Took an additional 6 hours today to complete the grind from Revered to Exalted. It was worse today than yesterday with the PVP as the same 2 rogues were out there repeatedly sapping me but would never engage in PVP. Had a bunch of Horde who were also farming rep but refused to invite me to their group so it was a constant struggle fighting for the mobs against them. Luckily they got bored after a bit and left.
All in all I'm quite happy I finished this grind. The mount is absolutely beautiful and is my new favorite. After farming the Blackfang Claws and Giant Dinosaur Bones for those mounts I felt like it was a huge waste of time. Neither of those mounts were very attractive and were just a +1 to the total mount count. This one is actually one I feel proud of and want to show off. Don't give up if you're going for it, it's worth it.
PS I found that even if you don't have a legendary cloak, you can get to the Orodos portion of the Isle by using the
Gleaming Crane Statue
by the bridge. I used it and glided across the missing bridge section and was able to clear out some of the mobs in the area for rep when things got really bad at the other 2 spawn spots. If you get too close to the Ordos Sanctuary walls, it will port you out with no warning and you'll end up by the Celestial Court. I only found about 2 dozen mobs I could reach over there but it was better than nothing when the PVP got too crazy.
A shorter version of the comment I posted on
but with Timewalking coming out for Pandaria soon there will be reputation tokens for Shaohao, making the rep grind portion of getting this mount MUCH easier. It will take approximately 4200 Timewalking badges to go from Neutral to Exalted with Shaohao without killing a single mob on Timeless Isle. However, you will still need to grind out the 100,000 coins to actually purchase this mount, meaning it would benefit you to instead focus on grinding the 100k coins and use commendations to finish off what remains, rather than trying to skip the grind completely.
I've had 100k coins since about halfway through honored and there was no end in sight to this horrible, monotonous grind. Glad I'll finally be able to put it to bed. Good luck to all the other Timewalkers going after this, especially the ones also gunning for Yu'lei in the same weekend. Expensive but absolutely gorgeous mounts both of them.
So, starting with March 7, 2017, Pandaren Timewalking has become a thing, currently with the Legion Expansion, setting you almost 20 levels above the Timeless Isle where the vendor for this item is located.
The following may not be the most resource intense way, best in time, or mobs to grind, but this is the method I used to acquire my
Reins of the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent
in just under a 24 hour period.
From Neutral to Exalted will cost you 4200
, which are turned into
Commendation of Emperor Shaohao
, bought from
From Neutral to Friendly: 6 Commendations
Fiendly to Honored: 12 Commendations
Honored to Revered: 24 Commendations
Revered to Exalted: 42 Commendations
Resulting in 84 Commendations total, not counting any reputation bonus gains like the Darkmoon Faire buffs.
With the reputation gained, I headed to the Timeless Isle, and began to farm
. Each frog yields 30-50
, which are the currency for the Cloud Serpent. You will need 100,000 of them.
As mentioned above, I got them in under 24 hours. However, rarely were any other people around to interfere with the farming I did. If you are facing competition, it may be needed to either log and wait, or find a new farming spot.
These frogs do not provide reputation of any kind, but I find the Gulp Frogs to have the highest yielding farm and decent respawn timer. It is a long, grinding farm, without a doubt, but if you have the patience to do it, you can easily farm your Serpent at current max level, provided you have the reputation to purchase it.
Happy mount hunting!
So I just farmed in Legion for two days to get this mount after being at friendly. As others have said, so long as you loot everything, coins will not be an issue. I want to give my farming "route" tip to people as it hasn't been mentioned. For me, this was by far the most efficient way of grinding rep, and I would have gotten exalted much faster had I started with this method.
1. Start at the Firewalker ruins (where most people suggest). Kill all mobs possible there.
2. Once all the mobs are killed and looted, run over the bridge/ up the path towards the Blazing Way. Kill the mobs that grant rep along the way if you like (easy if you've got a ranged attack)
3. Clear all mobs at the top of the Blazing Way. These take a while to respawn so we'll be coming back in a bit.
4. Run back to Firewalker ruins and reclear it if they've respawned. If mobs haven't respawned clear what is there, but we're going to move on again.
5. At this point you should have at least 500 coins. Now run back to The Cesetial Court where the vendor that sells the mount is. Buy a scroll of challenge. If you've got spare coins, buy as many as possible to save further time.
6. Head north to Three-Breeze Terrrace and click the shrine (if by some chance it's not there, it's been clicked in the last 10 minutes, but this is unlikely). Once you've clicked the shrine it will summon Archiereus of Flame. Kill him, and then kill all the mobs that spawn after him, this will grant rep and you'll make back way more than the 500 coins you spent on the scroll. This shrine is on a 10 MINUTE COOLDOWN so if you already have coins feel free to start with this step.
7. Now head back to Firewalker ruins and repeat the process. Once you clear Firewalker and Blazing way the Shrine should be up again.
I hope this helps people. Although this sounds like a lot or running around, believe me, it was far more efficient than staying at Firewalker Ruins and grinding mobs there, since they simply don't respawn fast enough for it to be worth it. My grind was much quicker from revered to exalted than from honored to revered with this method.
I just did this grind in legion, took about 5 or 6 hours starting from 0 rep. I hit exalted with 98k coins, but I'm sure I skipped over a few corpses, if you loot them all you should have enough.
I didn't use any scrolls of challenge, my route was starting at Firewalker, heading over the bridge and killing most of the mobs on my way to the camp north of that bridge. Then I go over the bridge and use the Gleaming Crane Statue, which gives me the height to glide over to ordon sanctuary where I clear all the enemies outside it before starting the loop over again. Ending the loop by using a scroll of challenge would probably make it a decent bit faster too, since you end right where you would use it.
The grind seriously isn't as bad as it is made out to be, go for it
So I managed to get this is in just a few days (not sure of total hours, since I had to squeeze things in here and there) during the Timewalking event for MoP. Went from neutral to exalted and started with 0 coins. It was CROWDED and I thought it was never going to happen, but here's how I managed to to do it relatively painlessly:
1. Start groups. I tried doing it on my own for awhile and got up to midway through Friendly, and while it would eventually happen doing it solo, it will take SO MUCH longer. It will also get frustrating as you compete for mobs. After someone invited me into their group, I continued to invite others that popped into the area and got my rep completed lickety split
2. I found the best area was to just run around the very outside of Ordon Sanctuary. I couldn't go inside, but the people in my groups could, so they tackled those and I just ran around outside. With a group of 5 we were able to pretty much dominate the whole area. As I type this, I realized I did this without the cloak on my DH, so I am not sure how the mechanics would work for non-cloak non-DH players, though, since I used glide to get over there.
3. If you have Timewarped badges you can trade 50 for 500 rep from Mistweaver Xia
4. I did all the quests after I had my rep since I knew the rep was going to be the biggest hurdle. After all those, I had almost half the coins needed. Then, go spam the frogs the spawn on the eastern coast. They respawn so fast (almost too fast to keep up) and drop around 30-50 coins each. Again, a group will be helpful here. I was earning around 20k coins in about 20 minutes.
I hope this is somewhat helpful!
I think I figured out the quickest way to do this. It's a loop of clearing the following areas:
Firewalker Ruins > path to Blazing Way and mobs there > Ordon Sanctuary and then jump down to Three-Breeze Terrace where you summon the boss and all the adds with
Scroll of Challenge
This loop takes about 10 minutes and the stone's respawn time in 10 minutes. I found this to be the quickest way instead of staying in one spot. Especially fast if you get a group of 5 mowing down everything.
