Incredible strong weapon for a twink to level with.
Itemlevel is almost the same as lv85 cata endgame heroic drops.

This is without a doubt the best dagger weapon you could ever power-level with at the 80-85 lvl bracket for casters, and an even more powerful twink weapon. This will cost a ton, unless you're lucky to find someone stupid enough on your realm to sell this for a low price.

As much as some ppl like overgearing the level and destroying pvp and such I think Blizzard are out of their minds making this kind of ilvl available to lvl 80. As one of my guild mates said it's as if they want to destroy twinking so badly no1 will do it. After all Blizzard never liked twinkers.

Enchant effects show up on this when transmogged. However, they seem to be toned down a bit. Mine has Windsong on it and the blue glow is there but not very noticeable, the yellow glow compliments the dagger well and doesn't overwhelm the graphic.

I'm unsure of how other enchants look on this though. Most of the effects are up around the hilt, so I doubt the others look bad. Happy mogging!

First cast after equipping this dagger at level 80 on my Warlock: Your Chaos Bolt hit Animated Laborer for 11770 Shadow (40829 Overkill)(Critical). Conclusion: this item is worth buying (even if by accident like I did) for 10k. :) EDIT: Fixed

I am destroying battlegrounds at level 80 with my resto druid. This weapon was well worth 4k on the Auction House.

Update...at level 87 and finally found a staff that's better. I will miss this weap :(

Remember, at level 80, the level cap of Lich King, this is better than any of the item in that expansion

Now, let's take a look at all the epic gears in Cata. it's still better than almost all of the epics in Cata!

So, at level "80", this is easily the best in slot item until level 85.

it would sell for a lot in AH but, if you're a level 80 twink, you should collect all the ilvl 409 items that you can use, see Link.

The top DPS of my 80 warlock with only one 409 piece when I started to run Wotlk heroics goes up to 10k (avg 8k), which is better than my 85 mage when he started to run MoP normals.

Imagine this in PvP, talk about doing the ganking, with only one person.

On a serious note, a level 80 BoE that rivals level 85 heroic mode loot? Expect this to cost a small fortune...and melt faces in level 80 arena.

Because this weapon is 409 ilvl, you're able to put Jade Spirit on it (instead of being limited to Cata enchants for most other level 80 weapons). Makes a great level 80 twink weapon even more devastating.

It does now look like all of the enchants and item enhancements have been nerfed and scaled to the lower levels, including Jade Spirit.

Will miss my 190k Shadowburn crits.

I just got this to drop off a Gormali Raider today while farming for a staff for Moging. It dropped after about 50 kills.

In my quest to obtain a full wardrobe of armour and weapons on my main, I came across this item in the AH today

Over 500g and I usually check wowhead to see where the item drops to see if I can save my money.

Came here and OMG just look at those drop rates, and the amount of recorded drops, this weapon is practically non-existent.

Did I immediately buy out this item for the 500g being asked? Silly question.

Given the non existent droprates, the fact the model is unique, the fact that it wasn't available in a WoD scrapyard box, and the number of completionists out there who will want this blade to increase their dagger collection, and you can then see why realistically this item should be selling for hundreds of thousands of gold rather than a mere 500.

One damn happy rogue right now.

Current AH price for this dagger is like 250000-400000g. Incredibly rare and nice-looking one.
