Drops from Nasra Spothide (a rare elite in Valley of the Four Winds)
Spawns a Tranquil Sprout guardian with 32k health and 100k mana that will last for 10 minutes unless killed.
Has slightly strange behaviour at the start of combat (trying to melee attack but cant), but will mostly just sit still or attempt to stay within 40 yards of you if you move.
If you are below full health it will keep up
on you, healing for ~5k every 3 seconds. When you're more injured it will cast
for around ~25k with a 10 second cooldown. It's heals can crit and it cant seem to go out of mana.
Unfortunatly the sprout takes aoe damage and so can die very easily in combat, otherwise you have to keep dragging mobs away from it after you get into combat. Can also pull aggro through healing.
A trinket with an effective ~21k hp5 for 10 minutes. ~2.5 million healing in a 10 minute fight, not terrible.
Sadly this guardian only seems to heal you and not party members or others around you, so has no interaction with
. Though I guess if it did you could just make food while they kill stuff for you.

Does this item share a cooldown with
Seems to smart heal, I'm getting a 3.9k heal Rejuvination tick, and a 19k burst heal, but only if I'm actually taking damage.
If you let it get threat, interestingly, it won't heal itself!
"Can only use outside" can't believe nobody commented on this, but even though you can't FIRE IT inside, you can FIRE IT OUTSIDE and then WALK inside and it won't despawn. Doing so, I just used it to kill Huggalon with ease!
HPS breakdown for the fight-
Me - 4.88k HPS (44% Leeching Poison, 34% Recup, 22% Touch of the Grave)
Pet- 1.35k HPS (81% Rejuv, 19% Healing Touch)
FYI, that was one healing touch, and it hit for 26.3k. 0% of it was overheal, so he does use it intelligently!
Though, for a good part of the fight I had Huggalon stunned or I was taking little damage (Combat Readiness, evasion, etc). I spent probably ~half the fight (if not more) at full HP, so the pet may not have been healing a lot due to that.
Also heals hunter's pet if the pet is holding the aggro :)
Would this be usable in outdoor areas of raid instances? If so, this could be useful for soloing some old raids.
This would be much better if it were an item rather than a trinket...
If you unequipped the trinket the Tranquil Sprout guardian despawns. Which is a shame the trinket has no flexibility once you have better trinket.
I felt the need to cross-post this information;
This trinket makes doing the Karazhan Chess Event IMMENSELY easier to solo. While this trinket is active, every time you take control of a piece, it will cast a healing touch on that piece, healing it for 25k. Considering the highest hp in the encounter is 150k, this is a lot.
This trinket took that event from 7-10 pulls of random hell, to a guaranteed one-shot.
I would also like to add that if you are not a class that can guarantee some kind of threat, be it taunt or threat increasing buffs like righteous fury, there is a good chance this little thing will pull aggro off you and get instantly 1 shot. Keep this in mind.
Does not seem to be working in Karazhan anymore since 5.4
As a level 120 warlock, the sprout does nothing.
NO where on my trinket does it say can only be used outside. I was so surprised to read that here on wowhead.
My trinket tool tip says exactly what the item shows above (that is, minus the who drops it at what chance).
Just curious, but where did the info about only can be used outside come from?
