Yes! Now with my Chef's Hat and my apron, I can cook in style :)
Oh my this is sexy.
Now 110% more desirable!
step one: get Apron;
step two: get a matching cloth belt;
step three: get a gearless female toon;
step four: mix the three of them;
step five: enjoy your virtual "naked apron", you pervert :P
You get the apron by purchasing the
Cooking School Bell
and becoming best friend with Noomi (The npc you summon with the bell). She will then give you the apron in the quest
A Present for Teacher
I'm assuming the vendor sells these so you can buy multiple and send to your alts once you have completed the quest.
Just recieved my Apron about a week ago or so. Didn't think much about it at first but just now my friend pointed out that it doesn't seem to be bound to me. And sure enough, i could both trade it and put it on the AH. Oversight from Blizzard or the first Heirloom quality item that is tradeable?
(3) Set: Cooking skill increased by 10.
Is pointless because you need 600 cooking to even get this item. How about all +50 pts to any food buff instead?
Remark as the date of 2012/10/19 (october 19,2012)
Requires Cooking (1)
Item Level 1
Tradition of Cooking (0/3)
(3) Set: Cooking skill increased by 10.
There is NO BINDS TO BATTLE-NET ACCOUNT on the Apron :3 only on the Pan and Pin
Seems rather silly for a +skill item. Where racial profession skill spells usually allow you to train profession spells earlier, this has never been the case with equipable items. What is one able to do with +10 extra cooking points that don't count for training purposes?
Seems to me that this is simply cosmetic and nothing else. While the +10 to cooking may be functional, it is simply flavor text basically because it allows you to do nothing that you couldn't do before.
I saw it on the AH yesterday, (30k) but I believe this is the first "heirloom" colored/quality item that you can put on the AH. It was top on the list, with the legendary quality TF bars second, epics third etc.
Get this with
and you can now have an apron on your apron (apronception):
Hint: both are equippable at lvl 1, added
for flavor, which you can get at level 10 from doing Cataclysm faction city dailies.
Warning: don't buy the Apron from Nam Ironpaw if you plan to teach Nomi cooking as you'll get it as a reward anyway. Waste of 50 tokens.
does not give credit for
As of 5.2, there is a hidden change that makes this bind to battle.net account. This means that you can now send this over to your alt on the same account for different factions, but this change also stops you from selling it on AH for profit (which I usually do since I end up getting 10 bells).
Patch 5.2 2013-april-07
The apron(+10), cooking pan(+10) and rolling pin(+10) ARE USELESS! its only good for skins.
Because 1: I'm at 535 +30= 565 : I can't get to purchase 550 recipes with it.
Because 2: I'm at 575 +30= 600 : I can't get to purchase 600 recipes with it. OR can't do achievements because master of all(BOA)(this achievment gives the bell for nomi quests inturn nomi gives u a free apron)
The apron is a Reward from quests from nomi DO NOT BUY , it is BOA
Still if u want to farm for token and buy it u will arrive to the same conclusion that it is useless for cooking, COMPLETETLY USELESSSS
Who cares about those skins anyway it takes slots and spaces in bank for nothing. Hope that Blizzard will change this soon.
If i were them Blizzard Id change this +30 cooking (complete set) skill increase to:
a) cut the price for cooking award by up to 1 set complete 3/3, apron 33% cooking pan 33% rolling pin 33%,
b) slash the price of chef's hat by a third (set complete).
c) when cooking with the set+ chef's hat small chance to get mote of harmony or a free doggy bag (extra meal)
d) real small chance to get one "iron paw token" or "50 valor pts" when cooking any pandaren banquet. like 5 %
e) Get u a rare chance to get "narnia" wardrobe(like a super void storage place for gear) or a shed (storage for proffessions) when cooking any pandaria stuffs. like .5%
f) Chance to have : no planting seed problem for 2 days ( no roddents, no fly, no drout, no hawks, no wild herbs)
I which Blizzard would make it so that when you have the full set you have a chance when cooking to proc 2x to 5x of what you are cooking just like the alchemist specialization.
If anyone knows a good white belt that doesn't make this apron looks crappily chopped off in the middle, I'd appreciate it very much!
As long as it isn't plate I'm good, any quality works too, just want a white belt that will fit with my cooking outfit.
So I was trying to make an "invisible" cloth transmog to wear this and
is the result.
What do you think? Does anybody have a better idea for gloves, belt or shoes?
Sadly the cooking increases does nothing for draenor food, 700 and 730 produce the same amount of food
, you have the option to temporarily raise your skill by equipping certain items. These items can be found below:
And while not exactly giving you any skill increase, this item can help you cook faster!
To be able to buy this, you must complete the quest
It should be a bloody version of this.
