To those who've been looking through new MoP stuff, this is probably a placeholder for the actual mats necessary. Obviously we're in the early beta stages of MoP and they are yet to reveal everything. Be patient, I highly doubt they'll want to create a 500k gold sink for a panther.

Actually, looking at WoWhead, it says 25,000g is the sell price for 20 of these. So if you do the math: 25,000 / 20 = 1250g per. 1250 x 5= 6250g per mount. All 4 mounts: 6250 x 4= 25,000g. So the Jeweled Onyx Panther will be 25,000g. That's just what I was thinking. Maybe I'm wrong, but we'll see soon :)

lol wait a min, whats the gold cap? i can say for sure on my server that if it doesnt drop somewhere, and it really goes cost 2million for the matts alone, no one will be buying it on my server. everyone will be rollin jc's for this. besides look at the diffrence between dalarans wooly mammoth cost and the cost for sandstone drake mount matts. not that big even though its from 2 diffrent expansions.the panther dont even do something special like the drake does carrying 2 people. they just have it set like this so no one buys the item until they can think of a real pricess

but in case they do leave it like this, you can expect to get alot of gold in dungeons, since cata ones give you like 83g at 85, at 90 itll be alot more.i can see the mount being so expensive if they make each part account bound. that, and Enchanting and jewelcrafting are about to take over the World, of warcraft, since now alchemists can only do transmutes once a day now and leveling any armor proffs "except tailoring" is going to be terrible. scribes will have some fun for the first 1-2 weeks but then its all about the jewels, and its all about the enchants. enchanting will be easiest to level since oyu dont have to worry about camping to get herbs and ores before everyone else does. You can peacefully quest and dis the items you dont want and do the same way with dungeons.

and as sson as a level my shaman to 75 i can corner the market. i have a habit of stocking up everything i need to level a whole proff, and then leveling the charcter. an enchanter, tailor, alchemist, and jc with the gathering proffs split evenly. and you guys should try out that new addon on WoW interface. where you can do stuff like any cloth you get gets aoutmatically sent to your tailor, and ore to your bs or jc and herbs to your ect. really cool. and another one that helps time you for practicing to do challenge mode

Doubt the sell price per unit will be 25k, and maybe this item will actually be a drop like Essence of Destruction, or it may be crafted by other professions.

If this will be used in the full game, perhaps it's something CoT related? Looking at the 'Harvested from ancient moments' flavor text it seems logical to me.

When you look at the gold quest rewards for Pandaria zones, and couple that with the bonus gold for max level players (that works with dailies too), and you'll soon see that gold farming for these kind of values (100k gold) will be just as bothersome as farming for the bike on LK or the drake on Cata. The only problem will be farming for the four of them, but let's hope you can learn the mount and, once you get the four different, the fifth one appears, instead of consuming the actual items.

This costs 20,000g (18,000 with guild perk) from Big Keech, found strolling up and down the path just east of the Golden Pagoda. Not as expensive as people though it'd be.

Edit: It will only cost 280k (252k with guild perk) to make all of the mounts that use this as a reagent. (including the 4 extra panthers for the Jeweled Onyx Panther.)

So yes, these are still 20000g on live, 18000g with , Keech doesnt have a faction, so presumably the Goblin racial doesnt apply. This means either of the engineering mounts cost 54000g and change, the JC mounts are 18000g+, and the big daddy, the 宝石玛瑙猎豹 is 72000g (or 144000g if you want all five JC mounts). This is going to be an expensive expansion...

Coto, the going price on my server has been ~37k for a while now. The recipe is a pain to get but the competition is going nowhere. I prefer to make bikes, roughly same profit for 40% the vendor mat price and other mats are easier to farm.

20k each is insanely expensive even with my knack for making profit.

This item being 20kg from Big Keech means that making the Panther mount is hardly worth the cost considering that the mount only sell for about 23kg on my server. Tell me again how this is worth it and how I'm going to make any kind of profit.

This item has helped me transfer 280k gold from one server to the next.
The current gold limit for paid character transfer is 50k at level 90. patch 5.1

I bought a couple handfuls of these on Hydraxis and sold them on Area 52 for around the same price give or take a thousand. Well worth the investment this early in the expansion if you are planning on transferring a character.

In my server US-Proudmoore there is a dude selling every week like 6 of them for 14,500. How is this possible? It is true that I always wait for his auctions to craft some panthers or even better to flip them again.

Here is a tip to make the cost of these things less ridiculous: check the AH.
Because they appear in Bling-boxes, if your on a high realm, quite a few of these "free" orbs appear, pushing the price down (and maybe some hackers liquefying poor people).

Whatever the case, just by watching the prices of these while buying my archy fragments, I have found them to be on average anything from 2k to 6k cheaper then if you were to buy it from Keech directly. (Assuming 18k price).

So it may be worth a look if you plan on getting a lot of these.

Personally, getting quite tired of these purchase-only ultra-expensive items for craftable mounts. I would much rather farm materials (even ridiculous amounts of them), than gold. I like the route they went with the sky-golem, requiring BoP one-craft-per-day items.

At least the other vendor exclusive gold-sink items had some inkling of sense. like sands of time, or extremely rare custom parts. This is just "hey you need an orb, why, It's a mystery!" ...They really just didn't care.

These are pretty useful for transferring gold. Just sell them a bit cheaper on the AH for minimal loss.

With the new Assaults up in the Vale, speak to Zidormi at 79,32 to go back to the alternate time. The vendor, 大块头齐奇 is near the Siege of Ogrimmar raid entrance. Yes, it still costs 20,000 gold, and this is the 哪里都有好买卖, even for Goblins, as he does not belong to a faction to have an Exalted discount with.

As of Shadowlands and still going back in time... if he is actually at the Golden Pavillion and that is contested territory. If you dare move from him you are automatically PVP. It really sucks because I'm not PVP and I really need to get these. Have to call out to all of my friends to help!

It is now the end of April 2023, and I just had one of these drop from a Blingtron 5000. I'm not sure if the 6000 or 7000 drops it, but since we barely see ANY of the Blingtrons anymore, I took my chances on the 5000 and ended up getting this. I have an addon that says what it is or I probably would have tossed it on an alt to sit there forever. Now, though, I might throw it into the AH and hope someone buys it for a little less than what the vendor sells it for!
