In Final Fantasy IX, Lapis Lazuli was an Ability Up granting +400 Accuracy. In Dissidia Lapis granted LUK+4. The tradition of blue gems granting +Hit continues here.

Lapislázuli is a REAL STONE, was the Chile's national stone between 1984 and 1993 :)
Honestly how many people initially thought of Minecraft soon as they saw this?
Reminds me of the song "Lazuli" by Beach House. From their new album entitled Bloom. In my opinion the best album of 2012 so far. Amazing stuff.
This indeed is a real precious stone and is fairly rare and prestigious.
It looks like this is currently a difficult gem to get rid of for those doing the shuffle. While you can make rings -
- these really don't sell for much on their own as the item level is very low. It may be profitable to disenchant them depending on your realm. The cuts are currently worthless on many realms.
They might be cheap stones but I can't seam to mine any and I need some for my engeneering.
to get rid of this, simply craft it and sell it to vendors. Or you can stock piles of them and sell them to future gemcraft when they are leveling in future expansions
I did a small test and found that of 128 gems of this type (red, blue, yellow, orange, green, purple) the yield was 16 perfect gems. 2, 3, 2, 3, 3, 3 acording to color. Guessing the average to be about 14-15%.
