Let's hope this is a (permanent) Hallow's End item and not TCG loot like
So it uses up a bag space in order to be able to buff spirit and cook?
I thought they got rid of
NOT THE BEES!
OH THERE IN MY EYES!
Sold for 150
The vendor that sells masks, candy and more is at Undercity, at the courtyard, where the Wickerman is :)
Personally, I like my women like I like my companion pets.
COVERED IN BEES!
150... Jesus wept.
292 tokens, getting more tomorrow.
The fastest way to get 150x Tricky Treats is to visit Inn Keepers.
Flying around for 1 hour, I flew to all the inn keepers in Kalimdor, then Outlands and lastly I did most of Northrend.
I bought one of these, and putting my mouse over the item it states:
Use: Builds a little wickerman that increases the spirits of those nearby by 4 and allows cooking."
This looks like a permanent item which will not disappear after Halloween.
Not providing detail of my flight path, I'm sure you're able to figure out what the best method is for you.
Also don't be an idiot like me and buy this assuming it's a companion pet. I could already cook my food on Lil' Ragnaros, damn it...
Why they didn't make this a learnable companion, is beyond me. This is just an "old-school style" item that summons a pet, what's the point of creating the companion-learning system if you'll still have some of those around?
Because it way too hard to give a wicker man a walk animation....
So pleased I read these comments first before wasting 150
on what at first glance looks like a companion.
This is where Wowhead is the best!
Another question I have is... Does this share a cool down with the Basic Campfire? If it does, then this thing is completely worthless since you have a passive ability that lets you do the same thing. If it doesn't share a cool down, then it has a bit of advantage cause it will essentially let you summon a fire every 2.5 mins.
I ment "worthless" as a functional replacement/addition to the Basic Campfire
It summons a 'statue' not a 'pet'
Collection urges twitching.. must resist getting... little... Wickerman..
:whole lot of ladypunchin':
There was a time when making a fire required both flint and tinder taking two bag slots. A Swizz wonder-item took care of the job later on until the heroes managed to make a camp-fire with bare cooking skills. This Wickerman could have been nice for those without the Swizz. Now, make it a pet or or find a system for trink(l)ets. All these archaeological items...
But only as a druid in bear form.
thank you, I was about to buy it for my pet achievement
You have no idea how happy I am you told me this! I'm like new pets, even though I'm not CRAZY about them, but I almost planned on getting this thinking it would be like Lil' Ragnaros. Thanks for the heads-up! :)
He has a point, this is not a companion and if you spent 150 Treats on this because you were 99/100 companions you'd be miffed if you hadn't read wowhead (or if you noticed that the Cat was a "companion" but this was ... devoid of such language).
Sure, it's not a vanity pet. Some people only care about it being a pet and that's fine.
However, a lot of people just like collecting cool little things they can set out on the ground or that make visual effects. Ragdolls, Argent Tournament banners, Mylune's Call, Haunted War Drums, etc. To folks like us this is definitely not a waste.
to be a pet to be cool. They already introduced
new pets for pet collectors this year, the Feline Familiar and the Creepy Crate.
Oh, I still fully plan on buying one, its just that it went from top of my To Buy list to the bottom, after I finish all the masks for that damned achievement (the RNG screwed me for YEARS!). If it had been a pet, it would have been the top of my list.
KILLING ME WON'T BRING BACK YOUR GODDAMN HONEY!
Use: Builds a little burning wickerman that increases the spirits of those nearby by 4 and allows cooking. (5 Min
I somehow fail to see how people can actually think this could be a companion pet, or at least a learned one that counts for the achievements. There was only one companion item which did not state "Use: Teaches you how to summon this companion.", the
. I think that one confused some people enough, so it became the exception that proves the rule. Also, an addon that displays the type of an item in its tooltip helps, not just in this case (I don't know why this is still not displayed by the default UI)
Can confirm that it shares a cooldown with basic campfire.
I just purchased this to confirm. It DOES share a cool down timer with the Basic Campfire
Well, there ARE two mini pets for tokens this year.
as expected, as well as the new
Three. You forgot the
See now all you need is a macro:
/e pulls out
A Gnome Effigy
and lights it on fire.
/use Little Wickerman
If anyone is wondering: If you have a Plump Turkey companion and a Little Wickerman near eachother, the Plump Turkey will go through the "destiny" animation. Enjoy :)
Also just a side note, this does share a cooldown with the basic campfire.
Also worth noting that in comparison to Lil'Ragnaros, this has a 2 second cast time and 5 minute cool down. It is effectively a cooler looking, bag slot eating version of the basic campfire. Only get this if you really want it, because it serves no real practical purpose, even for those who don't have Lil'Ragnaros.
Edit: Wow really? Downrate accurate information. That's how the system was intended.
Little Wickerman for Warchief anyone? more powerful that a campfire and looks cooler AND you can still cook your dinner on it!
I don't know about the rest of you, but Burning Man sure gets my spirits up!
This shares cooldown with the Cooking Fire ability.
Sadly I wasn't able to get this guy this year... will have to be next year. I opted to finish off the Mask Task and get my black cat in the hat. The cat is pretty cool NCP for sure.
Quickest way to buy both this and the feline familiar?
I didn't realize that these two were so expensive until I checked last night, and I've been a little lazy on my main due to already having everything from the previous years.
300 tricky treats, so little time.
Shares cooldown with Basic Campfire.
Your time will come, your time will come...
Druids can participate in the movie reference by parading around in bear form!
would be nice as a pet
Why don't they transform
to a normal battle pet ? This will be useful .
After all , its model is pretty similar to
. Why not ?
Oh rats, If I had noticed that he allows cooking I would have gotten him over the feline familiar. oh well, next year I suppose.
Last year, it was, "Oh, look, a campfire that takes up a bag slot!". Now that it's a toy, I want one.
Dear Sir or Madam:
I really want to get little wickerman and feline famlier. Are there good prices on these pets?
Yes, you can use it to cook. yes, it shares a 5 minute cooldown with campfire.

Places a miniature wickerman(Like the ones you see outside of Stormwind/Undercity) on the ground for a few minutes. It also serves as a cooking fire!
