wowheads "see also" on the other similar ilvl365 trinkets says they are related to alchemist stones, this leads me to believe this will be like the alchemist stone recipes out on that sunwell island, you needed Exalted with
Shattered Sun Offensive
to be able to buy them.
Here are the old recipes;
Recipe: Assassin's Alchemist Stone
Recipe: Guardian's Alchemist Stone
Recipe: Redeemer's Alchemist Stone
Recipe: Sorcerer's Alchemist Stone
In Cata this will then be Exalted with that new place we can do dailies, and you will be able to buy recipes for these trinkets when you reach exalted;
Ricket's Magnetic Fireball
Most likely two more, which could be these;
Hm. This seems like a fairly powerful trinket. Maybe the
pool of dodge
it spawns will be super sneaky and will keep running away from you.
Assuming no buffs, that is 10,710 health.
, that is 11,673 health. Add
and you get 12,258 health.
that is 11,781 health. Add
and you get 12,370 health.
that is 12,316 health. Add
and you get 12,932 health.
Yo dawg, we herd you liek Stamina, so we put Stamina in your trinket.
A lot of it.
Stamina down from 765 to 510.
as long as you stay in the pool.
Wonder how long until this is changed.
Completing said quest will unlock the NPC as a vendor and will have
along with other gear for sale. This item costs 152g 85s 24c originally, and 122g 28s 20c with exalted discount (Guardians of Hyjal I assume).
Most likely it'll be a pool at your feet, but if you have to move - like you do for a lot of bosses - you'll lose the dodge bonus. Which is understandable for a "freebie" trinket. Still useful for any fight where you stand still for 20 seconds. And there are a few of those.
"OMG You're standing in the fire"
"Im in the veil of splashing water not the fire"
"Get out of the fire!"
I like it.
Has anyone tested it yet?
I'd love to know if other people also get the buff, when they stand in the pool.
That way the main tank could profit from the off tanks trinket, which would be awesome, yet very situational
For those wondering I just tested this trinket and the "as long as you stay in the pool" is infact a part of this trinket, a small pool(about 10 yards) appears when you use it you can move about within the pool and will have the buff but going too far out (pretty much right at the edge of the blue spray stuff) causes you to lose the buff.
Just tested this trinket and while it does have the downside of not allowing you to move out of the pool, it seems to have the upside of not sharing cooldowns with other trinkets, tried with
, and was able to use both at the same time which can prove useful on a couple of encounters. Good trinket but situational.
Redundant comment now that it's been fixed, sadface
The actual buff the pool of water gives is:
Appears to have been hotfixed to have a shared cooldown now.
The on-use effect of the trinket now shares a cooldown with other trinkets, such as
Vial of Stolen Memories
as of the latest hotfix.
Lets face it, this is an excellent trinket for those boss burn phases, I can think of at least...
Shannox, Lord Ryolith, Bethilac and Baleroc in Firelands alone where a lot of the time you are stood in the burn phase near the end hardly moving, maybe Shannox traps but you can most likely stay in the dodge 'puddle' even then.
It may be useless for the add tank on Nef or Alakir flying phase but it still has a great situational use and should be swapped in from the vial of memories whenever the fight suits.
I'd hoped we were done with on Use avoidance trinkets. What's with the 20sec? 1700 is 9.6% dodge, while
Moroes' Lucky Pocket Watch
was 13.8%. My current trinkets are also 10sec durations, a window I doubt any "situation" exceeds. The only other other design intent would be binding it and keeping it hot, spamming it whenever it's off cooldown.
has the same use without pool restriction, and instead of wasting budget on epeective health the passive is a functional stat. But we probably won't see it until Brewfest, if ever.
Well, at least I'm amused by the DPS trinket they have from FLDs,
In case anyone else was wondering, if you step out of the pool and then step back in, you
reacquire the dodge buff.
(same item level). Same use effect, only you don't have to stay in any pool. Gives you 340 static dodge too instead of 510 stam. Only downside is you have to wait for Brewfest :P
Now if they would just make it so that everyone, or say max two (tanks ideally), would get the buff while standing in it I could see how this would be useful, but the limitaton to movement and the stamina instead of avoidance (hello Cataclysm) is just a no-no IMO.
I can however see how an alt struggling with RNG and gear capped toons crying "skip!"(I'm looking at you,
) will welcome this.
Too bad MF awards are not BoA. I am
not the best trinket in the game for nonraiders but still beats
fx. which is just useless on a whole new level. :p
Fantastic trinket for Baleroc, phase 2 Rhyolith and some of Ragnaros.
The range of the buff is slightly bigger than the puddle graphic itself.
Unfortunately, it doesn't affect the dodge rating of anyone else standing in the puddle. Just you.
doesnt seem to work in 4.3
to unlock the vendor that sells this item. Requires 125 Mark of the World Tree to turn in.
Bought it today. While it gives the buff, no visible pool/puddle appears. Changing which kind of ground I stood on made no difference. The buff did not disappear when I moved.
