Truesilver deposits seem to spawn where thorium deposits spawn. So, if you're after either Throium or Truesilver, and you see one of these deposits, you might want to harvest it and come back after a little while and the other might be there.
Truesilver is mined and smelted at 230 mining.
If I am not a miner what good is a truesilver bar to me? Just sell it? thanks.
EmptyRepublic is correct gold spawns in place of mithril on occasion, but it is more likely that mithril will spawn than truesilver which is why u dont see it very often =)
the truesilver veins are very hard to find i have only seen one in my game life. maybe im not in the right areas or im just unlucky...
You can mine truesilver at
This is a rare spawn from Mithril and small thorium veins (apparantly less than a 5% chance).
Although if you need it in large amounts it's just easier to get a guildie who's an alchemist to transmute it from mithril.
As of the Cataclysm release truesilver does spawn on thorium or mithril nodes. And the zones where the nodes appear has moved around as well.
It used to be that this was a key way to level up mining since you would get points for smelting it, however since 4.1 its cheaper and more efficient for miners to just mine their way up to 300 so selling the ore has become less valuable than selling the bars. Jewel crafters are the primary market as they need truesilver to make make Engraved Truesilver ring which is cheap with one mithril filigree and one truesilver bar but is good for about 25 pts of JC skill (170 - 195)
