Something on the line of Deathbringers will, with a transformation along with the effect.
The difference is that, this time, the player himself must pay attention of how many stacks he got to use the transformation. Would be wise to put it on a macro to activate as soon the stack reaches 5.
Hopefully after consuming the stacks, You'll continue to gain stacks while the use in on CD
Notice the "Bind on Equip" tag.
I'm already saving up my gold for this trinket :o
Just got this tonight. Dropped from BDW trash.
So far it's probably not working as well as it should (and I'll have to hope for a fix): the stacks build very unreliably and slowly. Each time, the buff lasts 15 seconds. If you don't get another stack in time, it falls off. I tested both in raid and on a dummy and on average it took me 45 seconds to get 5 stacks - if at all - while dual-wielding and was very unreliable when using a 2-hander. On the BDW trash mobs (huge mobs that are minibosses), I never got an actual 5-stack at all.
You can't add stacks beyond 5 and it doesn't seem to refresh, so if you do get to 5 stacks (likely given the 2 minute cd) before you can use it again, you'll have to start over when it inevitably falls off. Also of course there's no buff warning so to know when you use it you'll have to watch the little icon or use an addon to tell you when to pop it.
The strength buff is amazing, and it's very cool being a dragonkin (not as awesome as Wrath's DBM, but still nice), but I'm halfway tempted to re-equip my blue 230ish str trinket with an actual 'use' (900ish mastery on 90sec cd) until it's fixed. 230 str trumps 320 crit, and the 'use' is much better atm.
Raw Fury definately refreshes itself. The buff seems to have a ~10s ICD on building stacks/refreshing, after which you have a chance on hit (with auto-attack/melee abilities, paladin judgement/spells did not work) to refresh. So with a 15s buff duration, you have a 5s window to cram as many melee attacks as possible in a panicked hope that RNG doesn't screw you over and reset Fury completely (or have a >15s break in fighting where you can't hit anything in melee range)
It's definately fun to have during a tank'n'spank fight though.
Do not use
its heroic version
You have been warned.
This trinket is most likely going to benefit dual-wield DPS like Frost Death Knights or Fury Warriors as they have the chance to attack with 2 weapons, which may have a better chance at using this trinket.
Currently this trinket has an intended (Confirmed with GameMaster) 10 second internal cooldown upon gaining one stack of the buff, Raw Fury, meaning there is a very unpredictable ramp up time on the use, since the real window to get another stack is 5 seconds, this trinket is close to useless on any fight thats not a standstill boss.
And i've no idea if blizzard plans to buff this, but currently, i have more dps gain from a normal 346 2 min use trinket or a 15 second proc trinket.
We had this drop in our 10 man tonight.
We gave it to our frost DK Dps. I uploaded a screenshot of the use effect. Awaiting approval.-(Done, Thats our Frost DK Velynnaa from US-Blackrock Alliance, In the pic he is tanking that bloody dwarf trash)
15 second duration on getting stacks.
10 second cooldown on getting an additional stack
5 second window to get the next stack or it will fall off.
50% chance to get a stack on melee swing.
The use effect has a 2min cooldown on using it.
The charges can still build up even while the item is on CD what means so long as you make sure your stacks of getting reapplied to yourself about 40-50 seconds in advance of this then you can use as soon as its off CD.
Seems like Necrotic Strike, Scourge Strike, Festering Strike can gain charges. So might be worth saving using them sometimes to give you that extra 1 swing in the 5 second window of oppurtunity to get the proc up.
Didnt work with Deathcoils, Icy Touch though so guessing its only melee based attacks, or maybe attacks doing physical DMG.
Dual Wielding had no prob keeping stacks up, 2handed weapons seemed to a fair bit.
Nicely timed itself though so using unholy frenzy / gargoyle after your first rotation then use the trinket as soon as you got the 5 stacks seemed to nicely get both up at almost the same time for the next use of unholy frenzy / garg.
Overall i would say its not a great trinket considering there are still the nice blue heroic ones giving only 200 or so less STR and having 45/90second CD on a 10/20second buff rather than 2mins on a 20 second one, what proc on their own rather than having the use effect.
I also agree with one of the above posters who said they would like to see the ICD reduced maybe from the 10 seconds to 5 seconds. But i feel this might just be a prob for ret paladins, unholy DKs and Arms Warriors as all the rest are going to be swinging 3-6 times in those last 5 seconds not including special attacks that count as melee.
As a DW Frost DK, I'd have to say I'd pass on this... it's cool and all, but Impatience of Youth is still miles better for Frost because of the passive mastery. Besides, it would be replaced by Heart of Rage anyway, so all it is for us is a novelty trinket in the end.
Equip: Your melee attacks have a chance to capture the Raw Fury of the Blackwing.
When you capture the Blackwing buff youll probally get around 3k AP when your on your fifth stack.
*This buff doesnt change your looks, gives only the buff*
Use: Consume 5 stacks of Raw Fury to forge into the form of a Blackwing Dragonkin, granting 1926 Strength for 20 sec. (2 Min Cooldown)
3k AP (Proc) + 3852 AP every 2 minutes.. doesnt give you that high DPS like when you have DBW in WotLK.
I have bought this from Al'Akir for 48k:
I almost want this just for the dragonkin proc, brings back the UBRS memories :)
According to the PTR patch notes: "The Fury of Angerforge internal cooldown has been drastically reduced so this trinket will build up charges much faster."
Nepturion of the Horde @ Al'Akir
Hope that the building of stacks will get easier in the 4.0.6 Patch, takes TOO long before i can use the CD.
Then again the nerfing of Warriors begin with 20% so i will be UP.
Was doing some testing on the PTR (Ret Pally) and ICD looks to be 7 seconds, and refreshes to 5 stacks correctly. The buff is quite easy to build and keep up after using the effect so it is ready to Use as soon as the cooldown is up.
Indeed subpar in its current state. As Arms warrior, a stack lasts for 13 seconds before expiring, while the ICD for triggering a stack is 10 seconds. Which means that even hitting stuff all the time, sometimes the stacks fall off because they don't get refreshed in time! And as has been mentioned, once you hit 5 stacks it currently doesn't refresh itself if you don't (or can't) use them up.
But both these issues should mostly disappear with 4.0.6, since the ICD is being halved from 10s to 5s, and as Vellis mentioned above, it should now refresh a full stack properly. Even so, I wouldn't mind an even longer duration for the stacks before they drop off.
Currently on Live, it does refresh at 5 stacks, with 10 seconds icd, so getting 5 stacks while the trinket itself is on cooldown shouldn't be much of a problem.
With the lowered ICD coming for this trinket in patch 4.0.6 and the lessening of a Fury War's reliance on Hit in 4.0.6 (and thereby making Crit a worthwhile secondary stat), this trinket is likely to be the best in slot trinket for Fury Wars even through heroic content until 4.1.
It's also b.o.e., so non-raiders will also have a shot at farming this trinket on the auction house.
For those who wish to macro this trinket you would add the following to your spell/strike macro:
This applies to the top trinket slot.
This applies to the bottom trinket slot.
After running some tests, as of patch 4.0.6, the internal cool down has been reduced to five seconds(Down from ten). This means you get five seconds after one proc before you can get another with a ten second buffer before the stacks fall off. This makes getting stacks much easier in movement intensive fights.
Is this trinket is good for DW dk frost ?
Edit: This has been hotfixed not to work with together with springs now.
Currently i Havent seen these for any less than 35k on the AH :o
So far not impressed. The on-use buff is better than most trinkets, but comes at the price of having to monitor your stacks and not always having it available. If Crit is a good stat for your spec, go for it. Otherwise you might do better to get a more forgiving trinket like Impatience of Youth.
If you're really having trouble tracking the stacks for this trinket, or even other's like it such as Heart of Ignacious (Caster dps trinket off Council) download one of these addons,
It lets you set up a box/symbol/etc depending on which you choose (personal preferance, might wanna try them all) and set it up to let you know the time/stack of the trinket buff.
Got this last night on My DK. I added /cast Fury of Angerforge to My Scourge Strike macro (which makes pet use claw more often) and it worked wonderfully. Got it to proc twice for Atramedes, twice on trash in BoT twice on Halfus, and then twice in BH once the raid was over. keeping track of the Fury procs blows, but adding it to your main attack means you no longer have to worry about that. i DO wish you could specify when it proced. Using it when it comes up means not having it for Time warp or Heroism But it still gave a significant DPS increase over
Does the double use trinket glitch still work? im about to buy this trinket, and want to know if it still works.
Buyout price: 1c
What a cruel... cruel world
how low drop chance those it have really have been doing bwd for about 4 months atm havent dropped once good damnit...
I just got it and its nice. I use a macro for this trinket so it will trigger when it reach 5 stacks.
I put it with
(my toon is a warrior)
since i use it alot.
To get 5 stacks, you must be fightning a boss or alot of mobs, so i do not care when it is used. If i get 5 stacks, im in troubles...
So with that macro, i get transformed alot... lol
(1926 Strength = 3852 Attack Power!)
The only thing i dont like is the 2min, cooldown...
Well I just got this on my Warrior yesterday and I absolutely love it, here's a few things I noticed:
Raw Fury lasts for 10 Seconds
Raw Fury doesn't always give you a stack each time you attack. (Approx 25% chance a hit)
Raw Fury has a tendency to hand out more stacks to crits rather than White Damage.
Forged Fury lasts for 10 Seconds
Forged Fury grants you 1926 Strength (Obviously) that massive ammount of Str allows you to crit like a truck & more often.
The downtime for Fury of Angerforge's CD is approx 1:50
With the nerf on the CD Timer I am very pleased with this, it replaced my Hurricane Deck (It was nerfed: It now has a GCD each time you get a strike of the Lightning Blast and it no longer can crit) so in all respects Fury of Angerforge tops the Hurricane Deck.
Thank you to Roughknight for allowing my Warrior to get this from you, it is absolutely amazing.
Edit: Some odd glitch that messed up my spelling >.<
It seems like the stacks dont work right, id have to agree with comments above, it takes a while to get 5 stacks. They need to make this work like tyranades favorite doll, Where it stacks and doesnt leave you until its used. I dont get what they were thinking by making a trinket that has no beneficial stacks, while it takes soo long to get the 5 you need in order to use it. I really hope they do something with this.
doesnt share CDs.
Best trinkets for Fury Warriors i would say, when everything procs and using all abilities my DPS is close to 28k.
procs Raw Fury ICD is 5s，not 10s
When i was in my first BwD run, this dropped for me upon one other roller. Right after my win loot, another Fury of Angerforge dropped.
You can farm it by killing spirits!
