This is going to be one of the best trinkets for casters. If my math is correct, this thing gives 1.79 mastery. That's quite a decent boost. And the proc is nothing to be scoffed at.

Also interesting for Demo Locks.
Impending Doom now works also on Incinerate so cooldown of Meta gets lowerd close to 2mim even with preraid gear.
A conbo of Meta, Demonsoul, Soulcascet is very powerful as this trinket boost with Mastery damage in Meta and gives Spellpower at the same time.
Buy it - try it for 2h and if you don't like give it back ;)

Of note: This is one of very few trinkets that will work for both a healing and a DPS spec. Almost all other 359+ trinkets specifically note 'healing' or 'damage-dealing' spells.

The on-use feature of this trinket makes it very under-rated for any caster dps class that has powerful cooldowns on a 2-minute timer (or, to a lesser extent, any factor of 2-min, such as 1-min). The synchronicity of cooldowns allows me to virtually guarantee that every use of this trinket on my fire-mage affects both a Combustion and a Flame Orb. For this reason, RAWR rates this as the second best 359 trinket for fire mages (behind only the godly DM: Volcano and ahead of most 372 trinkets), and I can confirm that it gave me a noticable boost over the Stump of Time.

Additionally, the ability to delay its use for short but important burn phases really makes me love this trinket.

For those dps casters looking to upgrade to the 2x 378 Avengers of Hyjal-Revered trinkets, Fiery Quintessence & Rune of Zeth, you may want to really look into the numbers to see how much the upgrade really is.

Here's an elemental shaman comparison for example:
359 Soul Casket is pure 321 mastery, with an average spell power bonus of 321.

378 Fiery Quintessence is 230 spirit & 153 haste/mastery reforged, and average int bonus of 319.17.
378 Rune of Zeth is 230 crit & 153 haste/mastery reforged, and average int bonus of 319.25.

Sure, you get crit, spell power, and mana from int, but for classes with a huge gain from mastery, like elemental shammies, you really have to weight the value of 321 mastery against 230 spirit & 153 haste/mastery, and only the crit/mana aspect of 319.17 int. In most cases, both 378 trinkets will be better than the 359, but not as much as you might initially think, unlike quite a few other ~19 ilvl upgrades.

Interesting..wowhead's "Item Comparison" tool thinks this is a better Blood Death Knight (tank) trinket than the Brawler's Trophy . Why would that be true?
