Quite easy to make, but isn't it kind of boring? Same stats as the already existing
but easier mat's. Oh well, it is blue. Yay!
Does this not even have a "frosty" particle effect or anything? I'm hesitant to blow 10 orbs and some rather pricey cloth just to see, and if it's just a blue skin on the existing rug I think I'll pass.
Well, it is another mount towards an achivement for those intrested in that.
Now tailors everywhere can stay frosty.
Well, anywhere in Northrend or Outland.
As pointed out before, at the current orb prices, this is quite cheaper then the other epic rug.
By frost mages for frost mages.
oh well its a better mount then a gryphon or a bronze drake
Just a tip to anyone assembling this post-wrath: usually the price of the frozen orbs will be cheaper than the price of eternals, so to assemble this mount you will need:
6 Infinite Dust
30 Frostweave Cloth
10 Frozen Orbs (6 for pattern, 4 for recipe)
*2 Eternal Fire
*2 Eternal Shadow
*2 Eternal Life
*These can be purchased for 1 frozen orb each, or 6 additional orbs total.
30 Cloth > 6 Bolts + 6 Dust > 3 Imbued Bolts + 2 Fire + 2 Shadow + 2 Life > Ebonweave + Moonshroud + Spellweave + 4 Frozen Orbs = Frosty Flying Carpet!
to agree with Suuon i think that the drakes are a waste of time to get but the flying carpets are nearly the most fun to watch ride about on and they are certainly the most fun to make. Considering that you make them yourself, where as the drakes you have to go and find with others also wanting to ninja it. FLYIING CARPETS ARE AWESOME THEY RULE THE WORLD ^_^ THEY WILL SOON BE THE NEW DRAKES THAT EVERY ONE WANTS, but by then there will be a new mount that people are trying so hard to get : )
So I was sitting on 199 mounts on my warlock main and realized that this was yet another tailoring mount that I had never made because my lock was not a tailor in wrath. My mage alt has always been a tailor but I dont make such things for alts. After about ten minutes on the ah and hopping around on alts to get the materials I made this for mount number 200.
Anyone interested in making this, you need to have the Tailoring profession active to be able to buy this pattern :)
This recipe only shows up if you have you have the necessary Tailoring skills. I thought it'd been removed from the game but fortunately checked later on my Tailoring toon and there it was.
***UPDATE: See the end of this post for a summary of all profession-specific mounts, including those coming in Legion!***
Since I didn't see it here, I've compiled some information on collecting all of the flying carpets. This is useful for everyone, but especially if you are leveling tailoring only for these mounts!
There are 4 carpets currently in game (as of 6.2.2) and they all qualify as separate mounts. Only the

Once learned, the mounts will remain a part of your collection and will count towards mount achievements like
. Even if professions are later switched, the mounts remain in your collection - you just won't be able to use them without Tailoring.
Below is a chart outlining where to get each carpet. The information included is:

Below is a breakdown of crafted mounts. Note that "profession specific" mounts are those for which either having the profession or using the profession (e.g. Fishing, Archaeology) is REQUIRED to learn the mount. Non-profession specific mounts are those where the profession is not required to learn them - either non-soulbound mounts that everyone can use, like
