If this works with Vampiric Embrace this is going to be popular with shadow priests.

Tested on PTR's during Naxx trash. It is confirmed that shadow preists heals from Vampiric Embrace proc the +11 mana, so this is equal to about 250 mp2s in a 25 man raid. This may get fix though, because you will pretty much never go oom.

I wonder if it will proc off periodic healing of flash of light :)

Before we know if this is as good as it looks we need to know the following:
Does it proc off of each tick of a HoT (such as renew, riptide, rejuv, or flash of light)?
Does it proc off of each jump of a chain heal, each beacon of light heal, prayer of mending jump, or each target healed from holy hova?
Does it proc off of each tick of a healing stream totem, VE, judgement of light, or even lightwell (lolwell)?
My guess is that for actively case heals it will proc (for chain heal 3 procs) but for passive heals it will not (healing stream totem). This will for sure require some testing but for AoE healers the regen could far outperform many other regen trinkets. As a shaman healer that stacks lots of haste I have my eye on this for sure.
The on use effect is not so bad either.

dropped for me today on the ptr from the 2nd Boss Marwyn in Halls of Reflection.
It does proc of every single hot tick, even overhealed ticks.
for example: means wildgrowth with glyph gives 6 targets a hot which ticks every second for seven seconds:
wildgrowth = 643 mana
trinket returns: 7 * 6 * 11 mana = 462 mana
Does it proc off of each tick of a HoT (such as renew, riptide, rejuv, or flash of light)?
YES
Does it proc off of each jump of a chain heal, each beacon of light heal, prayer of mending jump, or each target healed from holy hova?
YES
Does it proc off of each tick of a healing stream totem, VE, judgement of light, or even lightwell (lolwell)?
since i only have it on the druid, i don't know.

Any holy paladins tested this yet? If this procs off JoL... dear god think of the mana.
Also, we need to test if it procs from FoL ticks, which I imagine it does, but testing is still needed.
If it procs from Glyph of Holy Light. If it does, it effectively reduces the cost of HL by 66 in the best scenario.
Finally, if it procs from BoL. Again, if it does and the above is true, in perfect scenarios, HL will be effecively reduced in cost by 77 which coming to par with the T7 libram (arguably still BiS for the HL spammer).
Ah also, for completeness, it might be nice if someone could test it for the T8 2 piece bonus.

This will be a great upgrade over spark of hope for those using solace as thier other trinket.
wild growth alone every cooldown is 66 mps(330 mp5) and then adding in every other spell you cast it will be amazing. i am already hard pressed to go oom, this will make it even harder. ( i am using the badge int trinket+ solace atm) lifebloom already costs only 280ish mana, with this your down to under 200 mana for a lifebloom.

As a resto druid, I must say early impressions are: I don't run out of mana. At all.
With Glyph of Wild Growth, It's healing 7 ticks * 6 targets * 11 mana. That's 462 mana per cast. My Wild Growth costs 643 mana...
As you can see, that's a hefty amount of mana.
In the 5-mans today, I've just been using lifebloom and WG mostly, and tossing out (rapid) Rejuvs. TONS of mana back. Incredibly spammy, but great :) Probably overkill even...
This thing is so geared toward Resto Druids, it's scary.
Well this is old news now. Using it now, it seems to have an internal cooldown of like 1 second or so, which is a major nerf for Resto Druids. I saw it coming though, it was far too much mana. Still not a bad trinket, though.

Just as something to say, Ephemeral means either lasting 1 day or lasting a very short time.
I find it somehow redundant that it's a snowflake that doesn't last long.

I LOVE THIS TRINKET!
I can CONFIRM 100% that it procs off HoTS.
example:
Riptide +11 mana
tick +11 mana
tick +11 mana
tick +11 mana
tick +11 mana
tick +11 mana
Riptide costs 751 mana -66 for initial heals +5 ticks
I can CONFIRM that is procs of Chain heal
I can CONFIRM it does NOT proc of Earthliving.
It procs of spells you cast, not procs from other effects/items.
If you have a legendary healing mace for example the HoT from the mace would not give +11 mana per tick.
That mana regen is just a bonus. With that use effect called
Urgency
it gives 14.15% haste.
This effect lasts 20 seconds on a 2 minute cooldown. It is up every fight or every other fight. This an awesome trinket.

I just picked this up tonight and as it stands right now,
this trinket is amazing for Resto Druids
.
Shortly after getting this, I ran the weekly raid (which was Ignis). After the Ignis fight I looked at my Mana Gained during that fight (from Recount), and this trinket proc (call "Replenished" in the combat log) returned 8% more mana to me than the regular
Replenishment
buff. And that was in a 10man... in a 25man I usually have a few more HoT's floating around, thus more mana would be gained.
Now, that was just one fight... I of course haven't done extensive testing to see if this is a typical result. But, to be honest it's probably a little OP for Resto Druids. I wouldn't be surprised if this trinket's proc rate gets toned down in a future "bug-fix" patch. ...But I'll enjoy it while it lasts =).

I can confirm as of 12/9, this procs off every tick of every HoT on every person my druid is healing.
LB, Rejuv, Regrowth, WG, HT. I would assume that it would proc off SM too, but I had so many +11 manas going off on my screen it was hard to tell.

This greatly intrigues me as a shadow priest for pvp regen. Vampiric Embrace was changed to a self-buff, so every single dot tick will heal 5 targets in a bg setting. Pet classes and players out of range will probably even out. So, let's assume you dot up 2 people (very common).
6 dots ticking, 4 of which benefit from haste (I'm at 20% in pvp gear). Over 10 seconds, we will get
6 total Shadow word:Pain ticks
8 total Devouring Plague ticks
8 total Vampiric Touch ticks
22 dot ticks
110 ticks of healing
1210 mana
605 mp5
For BGs, and possibly 5s, this looks like an awesome trinket, especially since you can pop it for
more haste!
I can see it now, tab-dotting to get more mana back. I just have to convince the group that I want it for my pvp dps set now.

Paladins: avoid this trinket! Glyph of Holy Light DOES NOT proc it. Flash of Light's HoT DOES NOT proc it. Judgement of Light DOES NOT proc it. Unless Blizz changes how this trinket functions, it is nearly useless for Holy Paladins.
Edit: Trinket was supposedly updated to proc off more heals. I haven't been able to test it since the update. This post may no longer be accurate.

So, if this procs off ALL hot ticks, this makes glyph of Prayer of Healing a lot better
PoH non glyphed hitting 5 targets:
55 mana cheaper
PoH non glyphed hitting 6 targets (hunter pet):
66 mana cheaper
PoH glyphed (ticking twice after the initial heal) hitting 5 targets
165 mana cheaper
PoH glyphed (ticking twice after the initial heal) hitting 6 targets (one hunter/warlock/DK pet)
198 mana cheaper
In other words the glyph will make PoH cost:
165 - 55 = 110 mana cheaper
198 - 66 = 132 mana cheaper (one pet)
I'm going to assume most 25 man raids have on average at least 4 pets (2 locks, 2 hunters, and maybe an unholy DK's ghoul). So you have a 4 out of 5 chance of casting PoH on a group with 6 targets.
PoH cost at 80 without talents = 1854
PoH cost at 80 with trinket hitting 4/5ths of the time a group with a pet: 1796.8
Glyphed PoH cost at 80 with trinket hitting 4/5ths of the time a group with a pet: 1682.4
PoH cost at 80 with Healing Prayers = 1483
PoH cost at 80 with Healing Prayers and trinket hitting 4/5ths of the time a group with a pet: 1200
Glyphed PoH cost at 80 with Healing Prayers and trinket hitting 4/5ths of the time a group with a pet:
1311.4
Now here I think I'm doing my math wrong, someone double check but...
Hitting 5 targets:
100-(100x((1854-55)/1854))) = 3% reduced mana cost on untalented/glyphed PoH
100 -(100x ((1854-165)/1854))) = 8.9% reduced mana cost on un-talented PoH + glyph
8.9% - 3% = 5.9% reduced mana cost from glyph
100-(100x((1483-55)/1483))) =3.7% reduced mana cost on talented unglyphed PoH
100-(100x((1483-66/1483))) = 4.4% reduced mana cost on talented unglyphed PoH hitting 6 targets
100-(100x((1483-165)/1483)) = 11.13% reduced mana cost on talented/glyphed PoH
100-(100x((1483-198)/1483)) = 13.64% reduced mana cost on talented/glyphed PoH
11.13% - 3.7% = 7.43% reduced mana cost on talented/glyphed PoH
13.64% - 4.4% = 9.24% reduced mana cost on talented/glyphed PoH hitting 1 pet.
Now, my math should work out so that both the hunter pet and non-hunter pet situations work to be the same I think... but it's been to long since I've taken a math class so someone please correct me.
But assuming the math above is correct...
So, as holy priest, as far as I'm concerned the glyph is worth a noticeable amount of + healing AND a 7.79% mana cost reduction for PoH
((4 x 7.43) + (1 x 9.24))/5 = 7.79% reduced mana cost from Glyph of PoH when it's talented average...
The trinket overall is a ((4 x 11.13%) + (1 x 13.64%)) = 11.632% reduction in mana cost for glyphed PoH.
Something still tells me my math is horribly off though, so please correct me. I didn't do every situation also, mostly just what mattered to me.

Alright, here we go..
Druidhealer, assuming the druid also uses forethought talisman together with this trinket..
+ Glyph of Wild growth for raidhealing.
+ Glyph of Lifebloom
Wild growth:
6 Targets every 1 Seconds for X health descending over 7 seconds.
Resulting in: 11*7 = 77 Mana
Now we add the best situation to it:
Casts:
Regrowth, Rejuvination, Lifebloom x 3, Wild growth + Forethought Talisman Proc
=
11 Mana every 3 Sec over 27 sec = 10 Procs (counting the initial cast)
11 Mana every 3 Sec over 18 sec = 7 Procs (counting benefit from tier8, if not, 6 procs)
11 mana every 1 Seconds over 9 seconds + Endhealing = 10 procs.
11 Mana every 1 Seconds Times 6 over 7 seconds = 24 procs.
Now if we cut it down to how much mana per SECOND we'll have:
11 mana every 1 Seconds over 9 seconds + Endhealing = 10 procs.
11 Mana every 1 Seconds Times 6 over 7 seconds = 24 procs.
Results in 11 mana + 66 Mana per second = 77 MP/1
11 Mana every 3 Sec over 27 sec = 10 Procs (counting the initial cast)
11 Mana every 3 Sec over 18 sec = 7 Procs (counting benefit from tier8, if not, 6 procs)
Results in: 22 Mana per 3 seconds, which is 7,3 mana per second, which can easily be uphelp.
Adding this together alone on 1 Target + raidheal without spamming reju like you should usually do we are already at:
77Mp/1 + 7,3 Mp/1 = 84,3 Mp/1
Times five, since we want to know what the MP5 is..
70*5 = 350
7*5 = 35
= 385
+
7.3*5 (let's take 7, I am lazy), = 35
=
420 MP/5
If we now add end-game results to it we'll be at a higher amount of course. You can easily uphold this Managain and could even gain some more through forethought talisman and probably tier10 4/5 bonus.

How to quantify this? I'd say use your fight parses to get some hard numbers. I'm going to try to estimate here for priest raid healing.
Focusing on just the spells I cast the moste, let's say in a typical minute I cast:
16 single-target heals (glyph from PW:S, flash heal, Greater Heal, Guardian Spirit, etc)
8 PoM
6 CoH
16 Renews
The single target heals will return 11*16=176 mana
The PoM bounces, say, an average of 4 times each for 8*4*11=352 mana
The CoH will hit 6 targets with glyph for 6*6*11=396 mana
And the 16 renews will tick 6 times with either empowered renew for 16*6*11=1056 mana
So in this situation it counts for about 176+352+396+1056/60 = 33 mana per second or 165 mp5.
Of course in a raid-tick-damage fight (Anub phase 3, Twins, Sapph, etc) things like PoM will bounce more and you'll use CoH more often.
Now let me mention Glyph of Prayer of Healing too (though I'd hate to give up Glyph of Guardian Spirit). This glyph appears to be so underused that I can't even find how many ticks it does over those 6 seconds. Assuming it's two ticks (one at 3 seconds, and the final at 6) that means one PoH will heal 15 times for 165 mana total. I don't think this would be nearly amazing enough to suddenly make PoH more popular, but those that use it (Disc priests that get stuck raid healing?) may eye the glyph as an option.

- Natasi < Radiance of Shadow > Cenarion Circle
So blizzard did take notice. Now it's worthless for any class but druids. CoH now gives 11 mana back instead of 55 due to the cooldown supposibly. Also, Druids will get 55 mana back per rejuv, unless the rejuvs tick at the same time.
TLDR blizzard is paying close attention to this trinket, and will most likely be changing it yet again.

saving 55 mana
Its not big numbers for our expensive heals

Just tested in 10 man raid (Archavon) as resto druid. Hottet as much as I could (wild growth, hasted rejuv, lifebloom) on all 10. According to log CD seems to be 0.4 sec or in other words 137.5 mp5. BiS manareg trinket yesterday, starter trinket today.
EDIT: Since lots of people after me seem to continue to speculate, a bit more explanation: Im am pretty sure the CD is 0.4 sec since I have dozens of situations in the log of the 3 boss fights where the mana was returned in pretty exact 0.4 sec intervals, even when there were more hot ticks in-between. Never less (except something like 0.395 sec and such, probably due to lag), but sometimes more (when not many hots were up). I am convinced this proves the CD and seems to be a pretty safe and easy method to test.

Ran a quick test with this (Post nerf) on a resto druid.
First, I cast each spell to determine exactly how much mana would be returned per spell. Did each 3 times to verify it was always the same (Just in case):
110 Regrowth (9 Ticks + initial heal)
99 LifeBloom (Strange... 9 ticks, but final heal didn't give mana)
77 WildGrowth (7 ticks)
66 Rejuvenation (6 ticks)
Everything came out as expected, with the exception of Lifebloom. For some reason the final bloom didn't give mana back.
I then tested casting any combination of the two spells to see if any overlapping occurred. ANY 2 spells will return the correct amount of mana. Add the above numbers together (for 2 spells) and that's the mana back you'll gain.
I then tested briefly with 3, and noticed I wouldn't get full mana return as expected. I'd always be missing anywhere from 11-33 mana.
I then tested with all 4, casting in the following order as quickly as my GCD would allow: Regrowth, Rejuve, Wildgrowth, Lifebloom. I did this 10 times, and recorded my mana return as folows:
Max - 352 (Assuming every tick gives mana back)
T1 - 297
T2 - 286
T3 - 297
T4 - 275
T5 - 275
T6 - 297
T7 - 264
T8 - 297
T9 - 308
T10 - 297
So, there is clearly a decent amount of overlapping happening. 50% of the time you'll get 297, but dipping as low as 264, and capping as high as 308. It could obviously go higher or lower, but this is just my experience. My haste was 357, 4/5 GotEM, and no CF. The test could be varied mostly to split second timing on when I cast the next heal, or there could be rounding issues on blizz's end for when the mana back ticks. This would lead me to believe in a 25 man setting, you won't be getting near the mana back that you would expect or hope for with this trinket, and certainly not to the degree you did pre-nerf. I'll try to test purely rejuve spam later, and see if there is overlapping without 1second HoT ticks occurring.

I was testing this on my draenei shaman, and I won't be redundant about the procs on riptide ticks, etc, but interestingly enough, it does proc off
Gift of the Naaru
. This is notable for a draenei shaman because (a) Gift of the Naaru is off the GCD, which means we could macro it to cast before every spell and (b) we don't have every single person in a raid hotted up. And while I try to cast riptide every time it's available, it doesn't always work out that way. Just another (free) hot to use to ensure we're getting maximum mana replenishment from this trinket.

Tested again in a 5 man group. (Had a well geared group so I could risk this:)
Rolled a rejuve on 5 people and then didn't cast until all rejuves dropped off. The 5th rejuve fell off before exiting combat, so I know for sure recount recorded it properly. I received 21 ticks of mana (231 mana back). I continued to try this a few more times and noticed anywhere from 19-23 ticks of mana returned using solely rejuve.
REALLY hard to test the exact ICD of this so far >_> I'll *try* to test in a 25 man setting, but that will be a little more problematic since I can't simply roll 15 rejuves then sit there and wait for them all to drop off :-P

We know that
Ephemeral Snowflake
was changed to proc less because its mana regen was kinda OP. Blue posts have not given us a specific number, and it has therefore been theorized to have a 1 second ICD, which would make it 55 MP5 and therefore kinda bad.
On testing it out, it definitely, absolutely procs more often than every second. It seems like it's closer to every half second (personal observation), which would make it then a max of 110 MP5, soundly beating Binding Stone in mana regeneration. Plus, the haste Use effect is more helpful than Binding Stone's stacking SP (takes too long to build).
Don't believe me? Here's a screenshot.
http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/1715/59605877.jpg
At one point I actually compared the procs against the in-game stopwatch. >.>
For pallies, it does proc off of the FoL HoT. It does proc off Judgement of Light. And it even procs off Beacon heals (not the Beacon itself, but resulting healing). It's not the ideal trinket for us (that would be
Solace of the Fallen
and more
Solace of the Fallen
) but it is better than Binding Stone.

WOOT! I just got it and Im so excited. However, it has been nerfed to work only once per heal per spell/tick. So Wildgrowth only restores 77 mana which is 7 ticks x 11. :(
Also note, that after doing a couple of runs it seems to restore mana per tick on each spell per different target aside from the aoe spells like wildgrowth.
So.... as a druid and you cast rejuvy on two targets, it restores mana per tick of that rejuvination per target. However, if you cast wildgrowth, it only restores mana as if only 1 target was affected by it.
Hope that helps. It does not seem to have any internal CD at all, but I could be wrong. Maybe its like 1 second internal CD.

Checked recount a few times the last days to see how much mana you get back by the snowflake compared to replenishment:
Sitting at about 25k mana as resto druid this trinket seems to give quite the same mana back than replenishment, beating it sometimes and falling back sometimes by about 1-2%. Basically I'd say it's your personal pocket replishment.
评论来自
497406
I also thought that
Ephemeral Snowflake
would be a significant upgrade from
Spark of Hope
for
Resto Druids
. However, given the internal cooldown of
0.25
0.33 seconds
, things are not so clear.
With talents,
Spark of Hope
reduces the cost of every spell by about 32 (varies between spells), which equates to
160 Mp5
when casting once every second, or about
150 Mp5
while casting once every 1.05 seconds.
If we assume that we can get the
Ephemeral Snowflake
to proc every
0.25
0.33 seconds, it provides a
theoretical maximum of
220
165 Mp5
.
However, on average,
Ephemeral Snowflake
will proc less than
4 times/second
3 times/second, even if you are chain casting. Even if you have 20 hots ticking, if they all tick within the same
0.25
0.33 seconds, you only get 1 proc.
From my limited testing of this trinket, I'm getting on average near
3 procs/sec
while chain casting, which would give
165 Mp5
, which is very close to what one would get from the
Spark of Hope
effect. Unless someone were to find that they got closer to 4 or 2 procs/sec, I would conclude trinkets effects are nearly equivalent.
From the heroic I ran, I got an average of 105 Mp5, which for most raids would be an underestimation of the actual value, though it is unlikely to achieve an average of 150Mp5 over the course of an encounter.
This leaves the spirit from
Spark of Hope
and the haste from the
Ephemeral Snowflake
.
Depending on your benefit from these two stats, you may prefer one trinket to the other. Personally, I am only about 100 haste short of capping my GCD, so most of the haste is wasted, and I would prefer 100 spirit all of the time, to 10-20 Mp5
plus 100 haste 1/6th of the time.
Unless you value the haste much more than the spirit, you should keep
Spark of Hope
because of its superior mana gain effect.
EDIT: I did some testing to determine the internal cool down of the trinket. The original value that I was using (0.25 seconds) was clearly wrong. From 500 data points, the shortest time between procs was 0.331 seconds. From this we can conclude that the internal cooldown is no larger than
0.33 seconds
. Also, with 500 data points, it is unlikely that the internal cooldown would be significantly smaller than 0.32 seconds.
Conclusion:
Spark of Hope
: (150 - 160) Mp5 + 100 spirit
Ephemeral Snowflake
: (100 - 150)? Mp5 + 642 haste for 20 sec every 2 minutes
The Snowflake has a much wider range for the Mp5 value that depends on spell usage.

This internal Cd should basicly mean that your AoE heals wont give you 5x the mana, and esp Wildgrowth, since that ticks
so often on so many targets.
Im guessing this trinket is extremely good for healadins, assuming they fixed it so JoL procs it.
JoL pretty much means this will tick again as soon as its off CD.

Have any locks tested it to see if it'll proc off of Fel Armor, Siphon Life, Haunt (either at cast or at health return), Health Funnel, Fel Synergy, Soul Leech... anything else?

Wanted: Current Information on Procs after the 12/15 Hotfix. They changed it again... did they just revert the cooldown or was there a actual problem with it procing off some heals?

Here's some straight data from World of Logs (pre-hotfix, meaning it wouldn't return as much mana as expected in some cases) from a recent Saurfang fight. I have underlined the sets of procs of interest.
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 92 mana from Persephøne's Illumination
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
(0.36 and 0.42 between procs)
Persephøne gains 92 mana from Persephøne's Illumination
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
(0.24 seconds between procs)
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
Persephøne gains 92 mana from Persephøne's Illumination
Persephøne gains 11 mana from Persephøne's Replenished
My conclusion is that it is possible to get procs closer than 0.3 seconds apart, but it's more common to see it 0.3-0.4 seconds apart, at least pre-fix. I will be running another log tonight to see how the "fix" changes its mana regen capabilities--my thought is it's going to make it proc more, because I noticed Judgements weren't making it return mana always as expected (it seemed to take longer to get the proc when I only had Judgement of Light going).
In short, a fantastic regen trinket still.

From a resto druid point of view, after the nerf I believe it is no longer worth equipping over raid trinkets. (It's fantastic if you don't have raid trinkets yet though. Given it's from a 5man though, that makes sense).
Pre-nerf it would have been near BiS for druids, but since the nerfed mana is not worth it (I had plenty of mana with my old trinkets) and the on use haste buff isn't that great for us, it's lost it's awesome.
However, it does make your breasts sparkle, I suppose it still has some use.

Tested this on Pally after the latest patch (12/14/09).
It now procs on:
Beacon of Light heals.
The Hot from FoL
The heals from Glyph of Holy Light.
This makes it useful for a Pally.

I have not done any extensive testing but as of 12/17/09 Circle of healing will cause this to proc 3 times in <.25sec. This would lead me to believe the internal CD of between .3 and .5 a second has been removed. And a simple no more than 3 procs per second is in place, more extensive testing would be needed to confirm this though.
Procs off Renew Ticks
Dose not Proc off Empowered Renew

This trinket doesn't seem very good for sham heals. i'm not too big into number crunching anymore, but unless you have riptide up all the time it would be around 22 to 33 mp5 (based on 1.5 sec cast, haste ftw). I use riptide a lot but also chain heal a lot, removing the hot.
feel free to call me retarded though, but I personally dont think it's very good for resto shams.

I am a moderately geared resto druid with 4pc t9 and, crafted toc chest/bracers, and some other alright pieces. I also grabbed this trinket the other day and tried it out in a 25man raid with hots rolling on all 3 tanks and raid healing. I found it to be pretty awesome for mana regen. It works out great for resto druids and their hots, probably much moreso than any other healing class.
Did ICC25 tonight, marrowgar at least. The fight lasted 8:23 (alt run, thats probably much longer than it should have lasted) and the trinket returned a total of 10,802 mana. Thats approx. 21.5 mana per second (107.5 MP5)
Plus the haste proc which im not really a big fan of at all, but the mp5 alone is worth it in my opinion, until i get sotd anyway.
EDIT: So essentially it procced twice a second for the entire encounter

R.Shaman.
Does:
Riptide Ticks
Doesn't:
Each hit of chain heal. (Only does 1)
Healing Stream
Earth Shield
Mana Stream
It's useful but i'd like to see a hotfix into it working on some other spells.

This trinket can proc from some random things. I was running around in ghost wolf (I have the
Glyph of Ghost Wolf
) and was wondering why i kept flashing. Ends up the heal from the Glyph can proc the trinket. Awesome!

For the Holy Pally's out there, confirmed today that it procs off of Flash of Light PLUS each tick when SS has been applied. Add in the T9 4pc bonus and this is crazy for one little FoL.

Went and won this trinket on a greed roll, and am confirming with everyone else that this doesn't work with Vampiric Embrace healing. I must be in denial though, because I'm still hanging on to it despite how useless it is for holy and shadow.

This is a great trinket as it will be very hard for you to go oom if you are healing mostly with Rejuvenation and Lifebloom (by letting 1 stack bloom and renewing) and Regrowth also. It is so delicious to watch your mana refill with these spells active on multiple targets.
But what confuses me is that it is sharing cooldown with 165 other trinkets, O.o Even though in its tooltip it says "
Use
: Grants 464 haste rating for..."
Think either the tooltip or the cd sharing will be fixed soon.

I currently use this trinket on my Resto Druid. And I tell you - it's just
awesome
!
I also find that the +haste effect is greatly beneficial if binded together with Nourish, as making that first Nourish (and later as well, if not procing
Nature's Grace
, where most of us already hit and pass the haste cap for Nourish) very, very fast.

From what I'm getting on my shaman, it's proccing from each tick of riptide. Sadly though, I'm only getting 11 mana from chain heal, no matter how many targets it hits. Unless I'm not reading my healing data correctly, I'll probably end up getting the Sliver of Pure ice over this.

Got this trinket after a month of HHoR grinding on my resto druid. I followed the comments here as info was posted and found that last night (1/11) on Festergut and Rotface it was proccing 2-3x per second while raid healing with many hots out ticking. Today (1/12) after the maintenance was complete I ran the weekly raid and daily random heroic and noticed it was proccing much more frequently than last night and with far fewer heals being tossed out. I'd estimate (no hard facts to back this up) that it's proccing 4x per second with 5 rejuvs and a stack of lifeblooms ticking.
Not positive here but I would bet they adjusted the internal cooldown somehow.

Latest news from a holy pala!
I won this trinket today and I've tested it a bit.
The mana regen from this proccs on:
FoL, HL, HS, LoH and you get 22 mana when using BoL
The hot from SS + FoL.
With glyph of HL and BoL, 22 mana
With glyph of HL and without BoL still 22 mana
If you make SS on one target, use FoL, SS another target and use FoL again, you get mana from both hots
No proccs from Judgement of Light/SoL on a target dummy
Ofc no procc from bandanging
I've made a macro for situations, where you need much healing as well, and it looks like this:
/cast Avenging Wrath
/use Talisman of Resurgence
/use Ephemeral Snowflake
(That's if you got Talisman of Resurgence aswell)

I got this on my Resto' Druid, it's
AMAZING!
It procs on every heal, and every HoT tick; when you're thinking Rejuve, Regrowth and lifebloom on the tank, rejuve on a few melee, and wildgrowth on 5 people, I actually think it's impossible for me to go oom.
I get 66 mana from Rejuv ticks, 99 mana from Lifebloom ticks and 490(1) from lifebloom anyway, 55 from Wild Growth(times x/5 for the amount of people it goes on), 110 mana from Regrowth.
All this including my other
trinket
what restores 500 mana when I cast, and my
meta
what restores 600 mana too.
Altogether an Amazing trinket, love it, will probably keep it for a long time as I don't raid much hehe.
Edit:
Also, for the haste on use, also amazing, I have this macro'd to Swiftmend so I use it when I need extra healing, and with full HoTs rolling and I can spam Nourish unbelievably fast, also the channel time of tranquility is really fast too, goes to 5.87 seconds.

Just as something to say, Ephemeral means either lasting 1 day or lasting a very short time.
I find it somehow redundant that it's a snowflake that doesn't last long.
(This comment didn't need purging as its is of relevant interest and without it the reply means nothing! Not everyone know what Ephemeral means of the top of their heads, and the ones that do spend their time on Elitist Jerks no doubt).
Perhaps Ephemeral isn't representing the fleeting increase of Speed or Haste provided, but is referencing the swiftness in which you will burn through your mana as you rattle off near enough to 20 chain heals!

This trinket procs once every five seconds in ghost wolf form. My ghost wolf is only glyphed in one spec, but the effect is the same no matter which spec is active. If you sit or lie down the effect stops. I believe that proccing without the glyph is a bug, but we'll see how it turns out.

You still do NOT have priority on this item over a PvE player; However...
Human PvP Priests, rejoice. This is a spectacular trinket to have. Easy to access, and if you macro it with Power Infusion, you almost
double
the effect of your spell! That much haste coupled with Borrowed Time (and a bit of haste on your own) can bring a Greater Heal cast lower than 1.5s, making it a perfect emergency BIG heal. Your Flashes are likely to get below the global cooldown; As PvP imples the risk of interruption, however, getting below the GCD is still interesting. Should you get this to drop, and your main healer to skip it... Go for it!
(I specifically said Human priests because other races are stuck with Medallion+X. They can still go for this, but Batllemaster's is another very solid choice.)
Scale of Fates is a nice option too (125Spellpower is very good, and the proc is very alike), but obviously harder to get.

I tried this trinket with both a disc spec and a holy spec today. I have to say I really like this trinket as a priest.
On binding heal I would sometimes get 2 procs, sometimes one.
COH, POH, and Divine Hymn yielded the same results, regardless of how many people it healed (over 1 person at least) I would sometimes get one proc, sometimes two, but never more than two.
I can confirm what has been said about renew and empowered renew.
This does NOT proc off the ticks from priest tier 10 two piece bonus.
This DOES proc off Lifeblood ticks, for any herbalists out there.
(55 mana)
It did not proc off Glyphed PW:S unfortunatly :( but each penance hit gained 11 mana.

Assuming my math is correct
.33 Second internal Cooldown
Procs about 3.03 times a second.
33.3 Mana Per Second
166.7 MP5
181.82 Procs per Minute
2000 Mana Per Minute
363.64 Procs after 2 Minutes
4000 Mana after 2 Minutes
545.46 Procs after 3 Minutes
6000 Mana after 3 Minutes
727.28 Procs after 4 Minutes
8000 Mana after 4 Minutes
909.1 Procs after 5 Minutes
10000 Mana after 5 Minutes
I have a Resto Druid with this trinket and while raid healing this has been pretty accurate on my end. But man do I miss this trinket before the .33 CD.... I never ran out of mana nor did I have any MP5 Gear before hand.... It was so epic /cry

Fel Armor procs the 11 mana. Practically useless but just thought I'd share, I've yet to test it with affliction.
This is actually a fun little trinket for dps that are just gearing up, if nobody in your group needs it go ahead and take it (I upgraded my fresh warlock from Cannoneer's Fuselighter.)
I use it often for heroic bosses in geared groups; An extra 464 haste for practically the whole fight is nothing to sneer at.

I just gotta say. I got this on my resto druid the other day, and last night I went with one of my guilds ICC10 groups to 2 heal it. I have Purified Lunar Dust as my main, then I normally use Sliver of Ice, but last night I wanted to try the mana return of this Snowflake trink.
I got crap from a boomkin in my raid and after telling him I am just testing it because I was bored. He prompty shut up. LOl
I have enough SP and haste and overall enough mana, but I am a spammer so like my disc priest love to never worry about mana.
Results. After morragar it returned 18 percent of my mana. Not bad for doing nothing. As to if the USE: proc on increase haste still effects my hots since i am glyphed I dont know. I would assume.
Over all after 7 bosses it was just at 16 percent. Not bad. I never dropped below 8-10k mana. so maybe I am a baddie and not using the +158 SP of the Sliver of Ice, but I crushed the other holy priest and had fun doing it. So to all who wonder if this is good for a Druid. HECK YA it is.

you are right no icon because it is a silent return. To see the effects on this just pull up the recount addon and look under the MANA gained seciton. the proc is called Replenished. that will show you how much you get back with this.
Make sure you dont get it confused with Replenishment which is a buff from another raid member.
REPLENISHED is the Snowflake one. hope that helps.

Does anyone know if this procs off of the shaman tier 10 4 set bonus?
The tier 10 bonus stats : Your chain heal critical strikes cause the target to heal for 25% of the healed amount over 9 secs
Just wondering and if it did it might be kind of broken for resto shamans, but still not as good as running Solace of the Defeated and its heroic version together but those are a lot harder to come by

The haste use is useless for druids with haste cap, but the improvements for this come mostly from icc and if you are running icc, you propably already are haste capped. My point is that this is good when gearing for icc but will be replaced with Purified Lunar Dust + trinket x (easiest trinket to obtain is Sliver of pure ice or solace, i think)

having a fun time playing with this so far. not a geared Disc Priest but just over 5000gs from other sources.
It seems to proc of just about anything and with rolling renews, shields and occasional heals it does return quite a bit of MP5. The cooldown is either removed or changed (maybe to x number in y seconds) because it doesn't seem to stutter at all when procing. Occasionally it misses the first tick of a renew.
outside of raids (meaning I don't raid so have limited upper gear choices) it's really great. being disc the haste is awesome. I don't have a lot of haste stacked yet but I can get my penance down to 1.2s and my flash heal was 0.9 but that shouldn't be below the gcd so could have been server lag or w/e. the use effect is great for tank healing but I'm not a fan of use items, 9 times out of 10 most of use forget to smash on em, am I right ;)
I've got about 25000 mana in 5 mans so I don't really run out but I'm trying to test full run usefulness atm. So far not too shabby at all for Disc outside of raid items. Ideally though you want spell power, haste, int on your trinkets as disc, to each his own.

allthou i find it quite anoying that the really short internal cooldown
makes it a lot less usefull
use givs haste ---> more ticks ---> more replenish from the equip from a single spell
i recomend it to any resto druid

* According to the changes described by Blizzard, this should not happen (since all CoH / PoH heals technically happen at the same time, and would be ignored due to the "very short cooldown" that was introduced), but sometimes I do get more than one proc. It's unclear if this is following some kind of rule or if the extra procs are simply caused by a delay in the server's internal processing of the heals (causing 5 "simultaneous" heals to actually be spread over a second or so, meaning some of them will land off the previous one's CD). Strangely, I seem to get more cases of multiple procs in parties than in raids.
This is what I found out about that, whenever any of your heals, that heal multiple targets, i.e.
CoH
/
PoH
/
Holy Nova
/
Divine Hymn
etc, heals yourself and another person in the raid. It will regain 11 mana twice, if it doesn't heal yourself but multiple other targets it will only regain 11 mana once.
Hope this helped.

I happened to win this on a greed roll as a hunter, and true to the legacy of huntardness I of course had to test it:
The mana return effect does work on Mend Pet, and will return 11 mana per tick.
(This is of course entirely useless in every conceivable situation ever, but I'm sure someone out there was curious.)

After farming HoR hc for weeks for this to drop, it finally did, & replacing my 'Tears of the Vanquished' I find this....
A bit "meh" to be honest.
I'm a Resto Druid, so I figured this would be imba for us after reading it'll return 11 mana per HoT tick, together with OoC procs & the free Lifeblooms that brings I thought i'd have a constant stream of mana, but thats my problem.
its just a trickle, not to say its a bad trinket, but i was expecting, well, more I guess :(
still, hope 'Sliver of Pure Ice' drops for me on my annual Friday ICC 10 run...

I can CONFIRM that is procs of Chain heal
Yes... but you only get 11 mana back for the first beaming of chain-heal, and NOT for any bounces. (I'm sure it looks very cool to have the +11 scroll up your screen, if you have turned on options to display energy gains)
All in all, for Shamans,
only
Riptide gains any significant benefit from Ephemeral Snowflake. And that savings is still only around 10-11%, max. per casting of Riptide. With every other Resto-Shaman healing spell (which, has a cast-time -&- is
not
a HoT),
the mana savings is negligible
.
This trinket is far, far more useful to a Tree Druid. Or possibly, a Holy Priest who spams Renew like a mutha. Shamans who are worried about mana ought to look for
Solace
,
Meteorite Crystal
,
Tears of the Vanquished
(
by far the easiest to obtain
),
PLD
, or even
Shiny Shard of the Scale
. Or, simply wait for better stuff to come along in Cataclysm.
