One of the 6 new Bind on Account chest pieces being added in patch 3.2.0
The 10% exp from these all (supposedly) stack with the BoA shoulders. A blue did post this in the forums, but hey, we're talking about Blizzard. You can't trust everything they say.
The others are as of follows
Stained Shadowcraft Tunic
Champion's Deathdealer Breastplate
Mystical Vest of Elements
Polished Breastplate of Valor
I personally hope they add a feral druid / hunter staff / polearm & a couple of shields for both tanks and healers, which I am sure they will but as I post this comment its only been no more than.. 1 week? since PTR release.
For you incoming down-raters, mind that I posted this during the PTR.
- They added Weapons!
Finkle's Lava Dredger
Repurposed Lava Dredger
<-- That's a heirloom version of
Finkle's Lava Dredger
:D Awesome for you feral druids that were expecting something out of this!
Venerable Mass of McGowan
<-- Awesome for you shamans :P
Granted these are not live yet so they are very subject to change...but the stats on this piece seem to be very low.
Maybe they will change them before release.
Here's a decent
if you wish to see the stats of an heirloom at a specific level. No idea if WoWhead's added this function in so I linked from another site via Wowwiki.
If you're a druid hoping to pick up this item, I'd suggest going with
Tattered Dreadmist Robe
instead since any Mage, Priest, Shaman, or Warlock alts you may have can also use it.
Blue Post states:
Assuming you are eligible for all of the new dailies being added to the Argent Tournament -- meaning you have championed all primary factions and reached exalted with them as well as with the Argent Crusade and Silver Covenant/Sunreavers -- and plan on doing Trial of the Champion, the 5-player Crusaders' Coliseum dungeon on Heroic mode, the maximum number of Champion's Seals you can obtain in a single day will be 15 after patch 3.2 hits, not including any lucky Champion's Seal drops in the Champion's Purse.
Here is a breakdown of the costs of some of the Argent Tournament rewards in 3.2:
Argent Crusader's Tabard: 50 seals
Argent Pony Bridle (for your squire): 150 seals
Bind-on-Account chest pieces: 60 seals
Bind-on-Account weapons: 60-95 seals
Bind-on-Account trinkets: 75 seals
Argent Warhorse/Argent Charger (epic ground mounts): 100 seals
Quel'dorei Steed/Sunreaver Hawkstrider (epic ground mounts): 100 seals
Silver Covenant Hippogryph/Sunreaver Dragonhawk (epic flying mounts): 150 seals
Shimmering Wyrmling (pet): 40 seals
If you're a druid hoping to pick up this item, I'd suggest going with Tattered Dreadmist Robe instead since ANY
mage, priest, or warlock
alts you may have can also use it.
Fixed that for you. ;-)
This and all other non-wintergrasp heirloom items are sold for heroism marks by Brammold Deepmine <Antiques & Heirlooms> in "Curiosities and Moore" at 50,56.5 in Dalaran. (he also paths to 51.1,53.7 upstairs.)
It looks like the available enchants are:
+4 all stats
If you are planning on getting these, consider also the CLOTH version.
You might want to get them instead, especially if you have ALTs that cyan only wear cloth armor.
Because once you have levelled your Druid to 80 and want to pass it on, it won't work for a Warlock/Mage/Priest.
So the cloth one is a lot more versatile, and you can make up for the lower armor otherwise.
Does any one know if you can sent this item to an ally charcter on the same account and vise virsa?
I agree with the suggestion about getting the cloth version instead if you plan to lvl a Mage/Warlock/Priest in the future, but have one other suggestion also. I personally don't plan to have any of those anytime soon but am planning to lvl a Shaman within the next year after i lvl my druid. I plan on getting this breastplate and using it on my druid then giving it to my new shaman to wear until lvl 40. Just a thought.
What is the best possible enchant for this chest peice for a balance druid?
I've noticed that the shoulders and chest do not add XP gains after 80. I equipped my plate chest and shoulders and the XP for the quests in the quest log did not change (after reloading the UI). I then equipped the cape I bought from the guild rewards, then reloaded the UI, and 5% XP was added.
So, just to let everyone know (and maybe double check it) the XP bonuses don't count, so you're hurting yourself if you're leveling past 80 with old gear.
As of 5.2, the Level 80 Heirloom weapons and armor can be upgraded to scale up to level 85
Cost is the original item and either Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets, JP (for heirlooms purchasable with JP) or Honor (for PvP itemized heirlooms purchased with honor)
1-H Weapons: 2175 Honor/JP or 110 Darkmoon Faire Tickets
2-H Weapons: 3500 Honor/JP or 130 Darkmoon Faire tickets
Armor: 2175 Honor/JP or 110 Darkmoon Faire tickets
Trinkets: 2725 Honor/JP or 130 Darkmoon Faire Tickets
Went to upgrade this item to the new
with the required amount of Dark Moon Faire tickets (Darrowmere server around 1am CST). However, instead of upgrading the item for me, I received an error stating I do not have the required
Preened Ironfeather Shoulders
in my inventory. Yes, I had the chest item on me, and yes, I wanted to upgrade only the chest item.
I submitted a bug report to Blizzard about it.
With the new heirloom upgrade system introduced in patch 6.1 this item has been replaced by
