It is most likely a proc per min type of deal. With a chance to proc once per min. That way it would only work one time each time you died. But it would still work again if you had a SS or got a battle rez. But ya in arena situation that would be OP. The other team could just run away though. Stand on the other side of the field. It would either be a stale mate or one of the teams would lose. Plus it says "Any Heal" so it would work on renew as well.

This seems quite amazing for arena's...
If you are specced full holy of course, If they run LoS so you cannot heal your partner(s), just spam prayer of healing to refresh the duration, or at least attempt to.

I guess that it's also possible that it might only be allowed to proc once per time that you gain SoR. Granted that I have no way of finding out or knowing, I just figure that that is reasonably balanced, a good chance of getting an extra 20sec of mana-free, threatless healing.

...pretty sure this will only proc once per death...so even if you are amazing lucky the max you will be in Spirit of Redemption...is only 20 seconds...still a good improvement as 5 seconds is a good chunk of extra healing...unless you're really unlucky :(

Does anyone else remember the experience of a CoH priest in Karazhan with a
Redemption of the Fallen
active? Essentially, every hit of every cast of CoH had an equal chance to proc the effect of summoning a
Woeful Healer
. This made the effective proc rate for summoning 15% per cast of CoH.
Imagine a raid healer with CoH and the CoH glyph for hitting 6 targets and always six targets since it can hit anyone in the raid. If the Blizz developers haven't caught their earlier mechanic of proccing off spell hit instead of cast, imagine spamming CoH as a Spirit of Redemption and having six 20% chances per cast of CoH to increase your time to live by five seconds.
Quick math: Chance to proc = (1 - (1 - 0.2)^6) * 100% = 73.7856% chance per 1.5 seconds to increase the SoR duration. That's nearly a guarantee to be able to stay alive
indefinitely
.
If it is this way (has anyone tested?) and it goes live, it will be nerfed. Otherwise, every boss strat will start with a SoR/CoH holy priest pulling the boss and dying up front.
This may be the WotLK version druid aura stacking healing glitch.

This was changed to refresh SoR back to 15 seconds and it can proc more than once
and this is based on spell cast, not spell hits
The official 3.0.3 patch notes released the other day have this to say:
Glyph of Spirit of Redemption: Tooltip corrected to 4 sec. extra when the glyph triggers.

The wowhead description confirms this change.
I would like to know if you have tested the spell cast, not spell hit part of this glyph; that's exactly what I was driving at.
Edit: unfortunately, wowhead says this takes inscription 400 to craft, so I don't think it's available on Live.

Currently on Beta, this glyph does the following:
Gives each spell CAST (not hit) a 20% chance to increase the duration of SoR by 4 seconds. It can only proc once per spell cast, regardless of the targets that are healed.
You *can* spam Flash Heal and have it proc multiple times, but given only a 4 second increase per proc, it's unlikely that you'll be in SoR for longer than 40 seconds.
Still, it's a very nice glyph, and a way for dead priests to keep up the fight. It has some large PvP implications.

My question is, how does it work with Renew and other hots?
It states all heals. And my pendent of the Shattered Sun procs off of Hots, more specifically each tick of the hot has a chance to proc.
So would you be able to Hot the entire raid and then spam CoH and get more than the 40 seconds mentioned above?
The glyph tooltip does not exclude Hots. Hmmmmm.

Umm, what about Lightwell, (not that they'd be needing it with SoR up) what if they click it while your SoR, does that count as a cast and thus perhaps proccing? Im curious now. Now, to mention the one thing people seem to be forgetting, Spell Haste! There are plenty of ways of getting it. IF you can get it fast enough, then you can have a much better chance of keeping up.

Alright, so yesterday my group was having trouble in H-UP on the harpoon boss, so we wiped several times. Each of those times I was able to keep SoR up for a good 30 seconds, and on one occasion, it was up for a full minute. The rest of the group was not familiar with this glyph, and were quite surprised when after 30 seconds I was still spamming CoH. They thought it was a glitch, actually.
I was ecstatic when I saw the PWS glyph, but when I saw this baby, I practically wept. If you are a holy priest and you do not have this glyph, get it right now. Seriously, stop reading, and go get it right now.

I wonder (Just don't hope to see anyone testing it =P) if you would get the "Immortal" title if you died on Kel'Thuzad's last few seconds ,and when he died you were still on SoR? You'd still be seen as alive, but out of combat...

This used to be Glyph of Spirit of Redemption, increasing the duration of

It was changed in patch 4.0.6:
Glyph of Spirit of Redemption has been converted into Glyph of Prayer of Mending, which increases the healing done by the first charge of Prayer of Mending by 60%.
I have always wanted a glyph for
Prayer of Mending
, as it's my favorite priest spell. I admit I even hung on to my 2-piece
tier 9
bonus for maybe a little too long (but damn that set bonus was OP).
A 60% buff to that first charge is huge - I was honestly expecting it to be nerfed before the patch went live, and I still can't believe it's only a major - not prime - glyph! I'm no theorycrafter, but it seems like a no-brainer that this glyph will be mandatory for healing priests, and that we will cast PoM on the tank on every cooldown, even if it has only bounced once (as was usually advised during most of Wrath, which became less efficient during early Cataclysm).

It seems that they did not rename the actual spell in the Inscription pane, so it is listed under Glyph of Spirit of Redemption. It does indeed create the Prayer of Mending glyph though.

Now that this has been changed from Spirit of Redemption to Prayer of Mending, it is an essential major glyph for any healing priest. The 60% buff to the first charge makes it a fantastic instant tank heal that can only truly be matched in power by a paladin's
