Moonshroud is the Wrath equivalent for Primal Mooncloth.
Its surprising tough that the Created By tab shows that the recipe uses Netherweave, and not the new top-level Frostweave Cloth, tough this may change/be an error.
It is now, as intended, created with Frostweave Cloth.
Based on the comments for
you can make an extra cloth if you're specialized.
You have to go to the Emerald Dragonshrine in Dragonblight to make this and there is a 4 day cooldown.
Will you need to be one of the BC specializations to train into one of the Wrath specializations? Will it be a progression type--Mooncloth---> Moonshroud, Shadoweave---->Ebonweave? Or, will you be able to be Shadoweave from BC and Moonshroud in Wrath? I can't find this anywhere online.
Which of the three tailoring transmutes has the easiest to access "forge" at level 70?
Which of the three will have the largest marked?
Just to make things crystal clear for tailors regarding specialization (2 procs instead of one).
If you're Spellfire spec you are immediately Spellweave spec.
If you're Shadoweave spec then you're Ebonweave spec.
And the same with Mooncloth, you're Moonshroud.
Hope this clears things up, I know it took me a little while to confirm but for those like me who were ignorant to their spell book it states in there when you hover over your cloth specialization button.
EDITING TO ADD:
You can wear whatever armor from Moonshroud, Ebonweave & Spellweave. There's no Burning Crusade restrictions anymore. The only thing that you are doing when you specialize in a particular cloth is getting that additional proc.
A moonshroud can be made at the Emerald Dragonshrine which is south and a little bit to the east of Wyrmrest Temple, coords is 63,73
Creating Moonshroud gives you a buff called Moonshroud Residue thats lasts 30 minutes and gives you 20 mana regeneration every 5 seconds.
If you want to be able to make 2x the Moonshroud you will need to be a Primal Mooncloth specialist. If you are not already a Primal Mooncloth specialist you will need 170g for the unlearn and respec. Fly or port to Shatarath (or go to the tailoring shop in Dalaran) and find the Tailoring specialists. In Shatarath they are down by the mana loom. Talk to the specialist for the cloth type you are specialized in now (If you don't know, look in your spell book and you will find it on the second page). It will cost you 150g to unlearn it. Then talk to the Primal Mooncloth specialist and learn Primal Mooncloth specialization for 20g. Now when you make Moonshroud you will get 2 for the price of 1 when you make it at the Emerald Dragonshrine in Dragonblight.
The "Primal Mooncloth" of WotLK. Raw mats are:
15 Frostweave Cloth
2 Infinite Dust
20 Crystallized Life
If you are a
of these. If not, you only make one.
To make this you have to be located at the
. The Emerald Dragonshrine is located in
When created, you receive the
Regenerate 20 health and mana per 5 sec for 30 min.
3 days and 20 hours
Does anybody know if mooncloth and moonshroud share a cooldown?
Looks like they changed the location for making cloth.
All now in Dragonblight:
EbonWeave @ 37,32
SpellWeave @ 55,65
MoonShroud @ 64,73
This will also be used in the patch 3.1 for a 32 slot Herbalism bag,
, so start stocking up on them for the inevitable price bump.
Specializing in Ebonweave, Spellweave or Moonshroud will not lock you out from the other two.
Various buffs given from crafting each of the three wotlk cloths.

video of its location.
Looks like Patch 3.3.3 will be removing the cooldown and location requirements for all these cloths. Sell em now if you got them stocked up cause the market will drop sharply once this happens.
This nor the other cloths don't seem to give the buff anymore for making them. Makes sense though because they removed cd and location requirements.
The following changes have been implemented as of Patch 3.3.3:
* There is no longer a 4 day cooldown on creating Moonshroud
* You no longer need to be in the Emerald Dragonshrine to create Moonshroud
* You will no longer receive the
+20 Health & Mana per 5 sec.
buff after creating Moonshroud
I was able to make my moonshroud while standing in a Dalaran bank. The mats are the same, and if you are specialized in mooncloth tailoring, then you do still proc and make 2 at a time.
Since patch 4.1
* Ebonweave, Moonshroud, and Spellweave will always yield 1 cloth as tailoring specialization no longer exists.
I don't understand where i'm supposed to go to learn this recipe. I've gone to multiple trainers listed and none of them teach it. I have a feeling this info is outdated.
I didn't see anyone post it, but currently making the special clothes no longer requires being at the specific shrines.
